EN 30° tilted board provides stable and comfortable
support during steaming. To tilt the board, follow the
steps below.
Caution: Do not stand directly behind the board when
tilting it, as the steamer head may hit your head. Stand
by the side or in front of the board.

water.
Note: Do not add perfume, vinegar, mineral water,
starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically
descaled water or other chemicals as they may cause
water spitting, brown staining, or damage to your
appliance.

is heating up. When the appliance is ready for use after
90 seconds, the power button lights up continuously.

EN Steam setting recommendations are provided based
on fabric types in order to save water and energy. If you
are not getting the steaming results you want, you can
increase the steam setting for more steam power. The
appliance is safe to use on all fabrics at any setting.

EN Auto steam stop
Auto steam stop saves water and energy. When
the steamer head is placed onto the holder, steam
automatically stops. When steamer head is removed from
the holder, steam automatically comes out.

EN Steam boost
To remove tough wrinkles, you may use steam boost.
Press and hold the steam selection button for 2
seconds. Power button ashes, indicating that the
steam boost is activated. Wait approximately 30
seconds before the next activation.

EN For garments which require a more formal look and
crisp result, such as shirts, jackets and pants, it is
recommended to use the board in the tilted position.

EN To make crisp pleats, start steaming from the bottom
half of the pants and move onto the top half to prevent
accidental wrinkles on parts which have already been
steamed.

EN For a more natural look and quick touch-up on garments
such as dresses, pleated skirts and T-shirts, it is
recommended to use the board in the vertical position.

EN The brush improves steam penetration into thick and
heavy fabrics for faster results. Brush slowly with the
bristles touching the garment.
Caution: Do not attach or detach the brush while the
steam is on or the steamer head is hot.

When the steamer head is placed onto the holder
and the appliance has not been used for more than
8 minutes, the power button ashes and the appliance
starts to cool down.

EN Clean the appliance and wipe any deposits o the
steamer head with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive
liquid cleaning agent.
Note: Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning
agents or aggressive liquids such as alcohol, petrol or
acetone to clean the appliance.
Do not wash the board cover as it may damage the
foam material.
Steamers with heated block technology need to be
descaled regularly to ensure steam performance.
With our new PureSteam Technology, the heater is
automatically descaled while generating steam, and
there’s no water left inside, so it’s more hygienic and
you don’t need to rinse it.

EN In case you need to disassemble the appliance, follow
the steps below.

Problem Possible cause Solution
The appliance
produces no
steam.
The steamer has not
heated up suciently

been activated when
the appliance has
not been used for
more than 8 minutes

The water level is
below the MIN level
indication or the
tank is not inserted
properly.
Let the appliance heat up
for 90 seconds. When the
appliance is ready for use,
the power button lights up
continuously.
Press the power button and
wait for 90 seconds for the
appliance to heat up again.
Rell the water tank above
MIN level and insert it back
fully.
The appliance
produces a loud
pumping sound.
The water level is
below the MIN level
indication or the tank
is not inserted
properly.

Poles do not stay
in place and keep
falling down.
The clips have not
been fastened

Fasten the clips again.

Place the steamer head

normal for steam to come
out continuously for a short
while even if the steamer
head is placed properly.

has worn out.
Purchase a new board cover
from a Philips Authorized
Service Center.
Board is shaky
during use.
The poles are not
installed properly or

secured onto the
poles.
The top and bottom
parts of the board are
not fully inserted.

Insert the two parts fully
until you hear a “click”

Some water
droplets are seen
outside the water
tank and on the

This is normal. Special
design guides
condensed steam
back to the water
tank, to prevent
dripping and to have
a cooler hose.
