Make your coffee moments truly special with SENSEO®. This unique system
combines the easy-to-use Philips SENSEO® coffee machine with the specially
developed Douwe Egberts SENSEO® coffee pods, giving you a full, smooth coffee
with a delicious foam layer.
The Douwe Egberts coffee in convenient SENSEO® coffee pods and Philips’ unique
new SENSEO® brewing system are perfectly matched to ensure that the best taste
and aroma are extracted from the coffee.
To ensure a smooth and full coffee taste, you should keep the following things in
mind:
Fresh water
Use fresh water every day.
Fresh coffee pods
Use the SENSEO® coffee pods that have been specially developed by Douwe
Egberts for your SENSEO® coffee machine for a full, round taste. The Douwe
Egberts SENSEO® coffee pods stay fresh longer if you store them in an airtight
storage container.
A clean machine
Clean and descale your coffee machine regularly as described in the chapters
‘Cleaning’ and ‘Descaling’. Remove used coffee pods after brewing. If you have not
used the machine for some time, ush the machine before you use it again (see
section ‘Flushing the machine’ in chapter ‘Cleaning’).
This machine is intended for household use only and not for professional use.

Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the machine and save it for future
reference.
Danger
- Never immerse the machine in water or any other liquid.
Warning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the machine corresponds to the
local mains voltage before you connect the machine.
- This machine is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the machine by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the machine.
- Do not use the machine if the plug, the mains cord or the machine itself is
damaged.
- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service
centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
Caution
- Always return the machine to a service centre authorised by Philips for
examination or repair. Do not attempt to repair the machine yourself, otherwise
your guarantee becomes invalid.
- Never put normal ground coffee or use torn pods in the SENSEO® machine, as
this causes it to become blocked.
- Do not use the machine in combination with a transformer, as this could cause
hazardous situations.
- Always put the machine on a at and stable surface.
- Never let the machine operate unattended.
- Do not use the machine at altitudes higher than 2200 metres above sea level.
- The machine does not work at temperatures below 10°C.
- Flush the coffee machine with fresh water before you use it for the rst time
(see chapter ‘Preparing the machine for use’). This causes the boiler to ll with
water, which is essential for the machine to work properly.
- Do not use the SENSEO® machine in combination with water softeners based
on sodium exchange.
- Philips strongly advises you to descale this SENSEO® machine every 3 months. If
the machine is not descaled in time and according to the procedure described in
chapter ‘Descaling’, this may lead to technical failures.
- Never interrupt the descaling process.
- Never use a descaling agent based on mineral acids such as sulphuric acid,
hydrochloric acid, sulphamic acid and acetic acid (e.g. vinegar). These descaling
agents may damage your SENSEO® coffee machine.
Never turn your SENSEO® machine on its side. Always keep it in upright position,
also during transport.
Electromagnetic elds (EMF)
This machine complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic elds (EMF). If
handled properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the machine is
safe to use based on scientic evidence available today.
Preparing the machine for use
You cannot brew coffee if you have not ushed the SENSEO® coffee machine rst!
The ushing cycle causes the boiler to ll with water. After this, the coffee machine is
ready for use.
Flush the machine in the following way:
1 Tilt the water reservoir outwards and lift it out of the machine (Fig. 2).
2 Fill the water reservoir with cold water up to the MAX indication. (Fig. 3)
3 To put the water reservoir back into the machine, tilt it slightly and insert the
bottom of the water reservoir rst (1). Then press home the top part of the
water reservoir (2).
4 Move the lid release lever upwards and open the lid (Fig. 4).
5 Put the 1-cup pod holder q or the 2-cup pod holder qq in the machine
without pod or pods. (Fig. 5)
6 Close the lid and lock the lever (Fig. 6).
Note: To make sure the lever is locked properly, push it down until it snaps home with a
click. It is not possible to ush the machine when the lid is not properly closed.
7 Put the plug in an earthed wall socket.
8 Put a bowl (with a capacity of at least 1500ml) under the coffee spout to
collect the water. (Fig. 7)
Note: Make sure the bowl is placed stably on the drip tray or the foot of the machine to
prevent it from wobbling or toppling over during the ushing cycle. You can also use a
square or rectangular container.
9 Press the on/off button 3 (1) and then press the 1-cup button q and the
2-cup button qq briey at the same time (2). (Fig. 8)
,The boiler lls itself with water from the water reservoir. This takes some time
(approx. 90 to 150 seconds). During the ushing cycle, the machine produces
more noise than during a regular brewing cycle.
Note: Before you use the machine for the rst time, clean the coffee spout, the cover
of the coffee spout, the coffee collector, the pod holders and the water reservoir in the
dishwasher or with hot water and some washing-up liquid.
Now your Philips SENSEO® coffee machine is ready for use.
Using the machine
If you only get a small quantity of coffee or no coffee at all out of the machine,
you have not ushed the machine properly before rst use. As a result, the boiler
is not or only partly lled. Flush the machine properly (see chapter ‘Preparing the
machine for use’) before you brew another cup of coffee.
1 Fill the water reservoir with cold water up to the MAX indication and put it
back into the machine. (Fig. 9)
Never pour milk, coffee, hot water or carbonated water into the water reservoir.
- q MIN: minimum amount of water required to brew 1 cup of SENSEO® coffee.
- qq MIN: minimum amount of water required to brew 2 cups of SENSEO®
coffee.
- A full reservoir allows you to make SENSEO® coffee a number of times (up to 8
cups). This makes it unnecessary to ll the water reservoir each time you want to
make a cup of coffee.

Remove stubborn coffee stains with vinegar diluted with hot water and then wipe
away the vinegar residues with a soft cloth moistened with clean water.
3 Remove the coffee spout from the machine. (Fig. 18)
4 Remove the coffee spout cover from the coffee spout (Fig. 19).
5 Remove the decorative spout cover (Fig. 20).
6 Remove the coffee collector (Fig. 21).
7 Clean the coffee spout, the coffee spout cover, the decorative spout cover,
the coffee collector, the pod holders, the cup tray and the drip tray in the
dishwasher or in hot water with some washing-up liquid (Fig. 22).
Note: If you clean the cup tray by hand, always remove it from the machine and hold
it in your hand, as it might prove sharp when it is handled incorrectly. Always handle it
carefully (Fig. 23).
Note: After you have cleaned the pod holders, check if the sieve in the centre is clogged.
If this is the case, unclog the sieve by rinsing the pod holders under a running tap. Use a
washing-up brush to clean the sieve, if necessary (Fig. 24).
8 Clean the water reservoir in hot water, if necessary with some washing-up
liquid. You can also clean the water reservoir in the dishwasher. (Fig. 25)
Note: If you use a washing-up brush, be careful not to damage the valve in the bottom of
the water tank.
Tip: You can remove the anti-splash rim of the water reservoir to clean the inside
thoroughly.
9 Do not use an object with sharp edges to clean the water inlet on the
machine (Fig. 26).
10 Rinse the parts with fresh water after cleaning and put them back into the
machine.
11 Clean the water distribution disc with a moist cloth (Fig. 27).
Be careful when you do this; make sure that the rubber sealing ring does not
get stuck under the edge of the water distribution disc. If it does, the coffee
machine starts leaking.
Flushing
If you have not used the coffee machine for three days, ush it with fresh water
before you use it again.
Flush the machine in the following way:
1 Fill the water reservoir with cold water up to the MAX indication and put it
back into the machine. (Fig. 9)
2 Put the 1-cup pod holder q or the 2-cup pod holder qq in the machine
without pod or pods.
3 Put a bowl (with a capacity of at least 1500ml) under the coffee spout to
collect the water. (Fig. 28)
Note: Make sure the bowl is placed stably on the drip tray or the foot of the machine
to prevent it from wobbling or toppling over during the ushing cycle. You can also use
a square or rectangular container.
4 Press the on/off button 3 (1) and then press the 1-cup button q and the
2-cup button qq briey at the same time (2). (Fig. 8)
The machine lls itself quickly with water from the water reservoir. It starts to ush
immediately and switches itself off after the ushing cycle.
Descaling
When to descale
Descale the SENSEO® coffee machine frequently! Preferably descale 4 to 6 times a
year, but at least once every 3 months. Descaling takes about 1 hour.
Why to descale
Scale builds up inside the appliance during use. It is essential to descale the SENSEO®
coffee machine at least every 3 months. Your reasons to descale:
- It prolongs the life of your SENSEO® coffee machine
- It ensures maximum cup volume
- It ensures maximum coffee temperature
- The machine produces less sound during brewing
- It prevents malfunctioning
If the descaling procedure is not performed correctly, scale residue remains behind
in the machine. This causes scale to build up more quickly and may cause permanent
and irreparable damage to the machine.
Use the correct descaling agent
Never use a descaling agent based on mineral acids such as sulphuric acid,
hydrochloric acid, sulphamic acid and acetic acid (e.g. vinegar). These descaling
agents may damage your SENSEO® coffee machine.
Only citric acid-based descalers are suitable for descaling the SENSEO® machine. This
type of descaler descales the appliance without damaging it. For the correct amount,
see under ‘Descaling procedure’ below. Each descaling mixture can be used only once.
After use, the descaling mixture is no longer active.
2 Press the on/off button 3. (Fig. 10)
,The light in the on/off button ashes slowly while the water heats up. Heating
up takes approx. 75 seconds.
,The coffee machine is ready for use when the light in the on/off button lights
up continuously.
Note: If the water reservoir does not contain enough water to brew one cup of
SENSEO® coffee, the light in the on/off button ashes rapidly and the 1-cup and 2-cup
buttons cannot be operated.
3 Move the lid release lever upwards and open the lid (Fig. 4).
4 Place the appropriate pod holder in the machine.
Note: Make sure the pod holder is clean and the sieve in the centre is not clogged, e.g.
with loose coffee grains.
- If you want to make one cup of SENSEO® coffee, use 1 coffee pod in
combination with the 1-cup pod holder q and the 1-cup button q. (Fig. 11)
- If you want to make two cups of SENSEO® coffee, use 2 coffee pods in
combination with the deeper 2-cup pod holder qq and press the 2-cup button
qq. (Fig. 12)
5 Place the SENSEO® coffee pod or pods properly in the centre of the pod
holder with the convex side pointing downwards.
Note: Use SENSEO® coffee pods from Douwe Egberts especially designed for your
SENSEO® coffee machine for a full and round taste.
- Place 1 SENSEO® coffee pod in the 1-cup pod holder q. (Fig. 13)
- Place 2 SENSEO® coffee pods in the 2-cup pod holder qq. (Fig. 14)
Note: Make sure the coffee in the pod or pods is evenly distributed and press the pod or
pods lightly into the pod holder.
Never put normal ground coffee or use torn pods in the machine, as this causes it
to become blocked.
6 Close the lid and lock the lever (Fig. 15).
Make sure you push down the lid lever until it snaps home with a click.
Note: It is not possible to brew coffee when the lid is not properly closed and the lid lever
is not locked.
7 To adjust the drip tray to the size of the cups you want to use, rst detach
the drip tray by sliding it slightly upwards (1) and then pulling it towards you
(2) (Fig. 16).
8 To reattach the drip tray, push it against the front of the machine at the
required height (1). Make sure the top of the back plate of the drip tray is on
one line with one set of guide lines. Then slide the drip tray slightly downwards
(2) to make its hooks slip into the slots.
9 Place one or two cups on the cup tray.
Tip: The cups you use should have a capacity of at least 150ml. Do not use cups that are
too large, as they cause the coffee to get cold more quickly.
10 Press the 1-cup button q if you want to brew 1 cup. Press the 2-cup button
qq if you want to brew 2 cups. (Fig. 17)
,The SENSEO® coffee machine starts brewing. The machine automatically
supplies the optimal amount of water.
Note: You can interrupt the brewing process at any time by pressing the on/off button
3. If you switch the machine back on after having interrupted the brewing process, the
machine does not complete the interrupted brewing cycle.
Do not remove the water reservoir during a brewing cycle, as this causes the
machine to draw in air. When this happens, the machine only partly lls the next
cup.
11 Lift the pod holder out of the machine and remove the coffee pod or pods.
Note: Be careful when you do this, for there may still be some hot water or coffee on the
coffee pod or pods.
Tips
- To make sure the coffee always tastes optimally, rinse the pod holders, the coffee
collector and the coffee spout regularly.
- The SENSEO® coffee tastes best if you stir it before you drink it.
- If you intend to make another cup of SENSEO® coffee later, just leave the coffee
machine switched on. The machine automatically switches itself off after 30
minutes.
Cleaning
Never immerse the SENSEO® coffee machine in water.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as
petrol or acetone to clean the machine.
Never clean the machine by ushing it with the lid open.
Note: All detachable parts are dishwasher-proof.

2 Clean the outside of the machine with a soft moist cloth.

Problem Solution
You have used the SENSEO® coffee machine at an altitude
higher than 2200 metres above sea level. This has caused the
water in the machine to start boiling before it has reached
the required temperature, which prevents the machine from
functioning properly. Switch off the machine and no longer
use it at altitudes higher than 2200 metres above sea level.
The light in the
on/off button
continues to ash
rapidly.
Make sure that:
the water reservoir is placed properly;
there is enough water in the water reservoir (i.e. above the
q MIN level if you want to brew 1 cup);
the ambient temperature is not lower than 10°C. If it is, the
machine does not function properly.
When I push one
of the buttons,
nothing happens.
Make sure you have inserted the plug properly into the wall
socket. Also make sure you have closed the lid and locked the
lid lever. If the lid is not closed or the lid lever is not pushed
until it locks with a click, the machine does not work.
Water leaks from
the machine.
You may have lled the water reservoir beyond the MAX
level. Never ll the water reservoir beyond this level.
Perhaps the sieve in the centre of the pod holder is clogged.
If it is, unclog the sieve by holding the pod holder under a
running tap. If necessary, use a washing-up brush or a pin to
unclog the sieve.A
Check if the coffee pod is placed properly in the centre of
the pod holder.
Check if the sealing ring is not stuck under the edge of the
water distribution disc (see drawing at the beginning of this
user manual).
It is perfectly normal for some drops of water to spill onto
the worktop. This may happen, for instance, when you place
or remove the water reservoir. Be careful when you remove
used coffee pods, for there may still be some water on the
pods.
Perhaps you removed the water reservoir when the coffee
machine was heating up. This may cause some water to leak
out of the machine (this water normally ends up in the water
reservoir).
If none of the above solutions solve the problem, contact the
Philips Consumer Care Centre in your country.
I cannot open
the lid. A vacuum may have temporarily formed under the lid.
Switch off the machine and wait 24 hours before pulling up
the lever to open the lid. Do not use force when pulling up
the lever to open the lid.
When the lid opens, take out the pod holder and unclog
the hole by holding the pod holder under a running tap. If
necessary, use a washing-up brush or a pin to unclog the hole.
Make sure you do not move the SENSEO® machine.
Moving the machine, placing it outdoors or in a cool or cold
environment does not accelerate the unlocking of the lid.
Do NOT put the SENSEO® machine in the fridge or freezer,
as this does not accelerate the unlocking of the lid. You can
prevent the lid from getting locked by cleaning the pod
holder regularly. Never put ground coffee (lter-ne grind) in
the pod holder. Prevent pods from tearing by placing them
in the pod holder with the convex side pointing downwards.
Check if the coffee in the pod is evenly distributed when you
place the pod in the pod holder. Press the pods lightly into
the pod holder.
If problems continue to occur, contact the Philips Consumer
Care Centre in your country.
The machine
produces less
coffee than before.
Perhaps the sieve in the centre of the pod holder is clogged.
If it is, unclog the sieve by holding the pod holder under a
running tap. If necessary, use a washing-up brush or a pin to
unclog the sieve.
Descale the machine (see chapter ‘Descaling’).
We advise you to use the special SENSEO® Descaler (HD7012, HD7011, HD7006).
Read the instructions on the package of the descaler.
Note: The special SENSEO® descaler can be bought in the shops that sell SENSEO®
machines or on the internet at www.support.philips.com
Descaling procedure
1 Mix 50 grams of citric acid with 1 litre of water in a measuring jug. Stir until
the powder is completely dissolved.
2 Fill the water reservoir with the descaler mixture. Then put the water
reservoir back into the coffee machine. (Fig. 29)
3 Press the on/off button 3. (Fig. 10)
The machine is ready for use when the light in the on/off button lights up
continuously.
4 Place the 1-cup pod holder q with a used coffee pod in it in the coffee
machine. Close the lid and make sure it is properly locked.
Note: Always put a used coffee pod in the pod holder when you descale the machine. This
pod serves as a ‘lter’ to prevent the sieve in the pod holder from getting clogged with
scale residue.
5 Put a bowl with a capacity of at least 1500ml under the spout to collect the
descaling mixture. (Fig. 28)
Note: Make sure the bowl is placed stably on the drip tray or the foot of the machine to
prevent it from wobbling or toppling over during descaling. You can also use a square or
rectangular container.
6 Press the 2-cup button qq and let the machine operate. Repeat this until the
water reservoir is empty. (Fig. 30)
Never interrupt the descaling process!
7 Repeat steps 1 to 6. Replace the used pod with another used pod to lter out
the scale residue.
Note: To descale properly, you have to use 2 litres of descaling mixture.
Note: Make sure you push down the lid lever until it snaps home with a click. You can only
start the descaling process when the lid is closed and the lid lever is properly locked.
8 Rinse the water reservoir with tap water. Fill the water reservoir up to the
MAX indication with tap water and repeat steps 3 to 6.
Note: Do not rell the water reservoir with used hot water or the used descaling mixture.
9 Fill the water reservoir with fresh tap water up to the MAX indication again
and repeat steps 3 to 6 once more.
Note: Always rinse the machine by letting it empty two full water reservoirs.
Note: You can also rinse the machine by letting it complete two ushing cycles as
described in ‘Flushing’ in chapter ‘Cleaning’.
10 Remove the used pad and clean the pod holder after descaling to prevent the
sieve in the centre from getting clogged.
Frost-free storage
If the machine has already been used and therefore has been ushed with water, you
may only use and store it in a frost-free place to prevent it from becoming damaged.
Replacement
All removable parts can be ordered from your Philips dealer or a Philips service
centre.
Environment
- Do not throw away the machine with the normal household waste at the end
of its life, but hand it in at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing this,
you help to preserve the environment (Fig. 31).

in your country (you nd its phone number in the worldwide guarantee leaet). If
there is no Consumer Care Centre in your country, go to your local Philips dealer.

rights of Sara Lee/Douwe Egberts or Philips under any of their patents nor does it
confer upon the purchaser a licence under these patents.
Troubleshooting
This chapter summarises the most common problems you could encounter with
the machine. If you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, see
chapter ‘Guarantee & service’.

You have not ushed the machine properly before rst use.
As a result, the boiler is not or only partly lled. Flush the

use’) before you brew another cup of coffee.
I cannot close the
lid properly.
Check if a used coffee pod sticks to the water distribution
disc. If this is the case, remove the used pod.
Check if you have not put two coffee pods in the 1-cup pod
holder q.
The machine has
been stored in a
room that was not
frost-free.
Contact the Philips Consumer Care Centre in your country.
The SENSEO®
coffee is not
strong enough.
Make sure that:
you have used the correct number of pods and have pressed
the right button. Use 1 pod in combination with the 1-cup
pod holder q and the 1-cup button q. Use 2 pods in
combination with the 2-cup pod holder qq and the 2-cup
button qq;
the coffee pod or pods has/have been placed properly in the
centre of the pod holder, to prevent water from escaping
along de edge of the pod or pods. When you use two coffee
pods on top of each other, make sure that the convex sides
of both pods point downwards and press the pods lightly into
the pod holder (see step 6 in chapter ‘Using the machine’);
you have not used the same pod twice by accident;
the coffee in the pod is evenly distributed;
If you prefer a more robust avour, SENSEO® coffee pods
with a stronger blend are available.
The SENSEO®
coffee is too
strong.
If you prefer a milder avour, SENSEO® coffee pods with a
milder blend are available.
The coffee is not
hot enough.
Do not use cups that are too large, as they cause the coffee
to get cold more quickly. When you use cups, make sure they
have a capacity of 150ml. When you use a mug, make sure it
has a capacity of 280ml.
To keep the coffee hot longer, preheat the cups with hot
water.
The machine
spatters when I
brew coffee.
Move the drip tray to a higher position so that the edge of
your cup is closer to the spout.
I want to brew
coffee in a tall
vacuum mug but
this mug does
not t under the
spout.
If you remove the drip tray, the mug may t under the spout.
Water and steam
have leaked from
the bottom of the
appliance in a fast
way.
Your SENSEO® machine has a technical malfunction and has
drained all water for safety reasons. The machine is blocked
and does not function anymore. For assistance, please visit

Philips service centre.

A készülék első használata előtt gyelmesen olvassa el a használati útmutatót, és
őrizze meg későbbi használatra.
Vigyázat!
- Soha ne merítse a készüléket vízbe vagy más folyadékba.
Figyelmeztetés
- Mielőtt a készüléket az elektromos hálózatra csatlakoztatná, ellenőrizze, hogy a
készülék alján feltüntetett feszültség egyezik-e a helyi hálózati feszültséggel.
- A készülék működtetésében járatlan személyek, gyerekek, nem beszámítható,
szakmai tudással vagy tapasztalattal nem rendelkező személyek felügyelet nélkül
soha ne használják a készüléket.
- Vigyázzon, hogy gyermekek ne játsszanak a készülékkel.
- Ne használja a készüléket, ha a hálózati csatlakozódugó, a kábel vagy maga a
készülék sérült.
- Amennyiben a hálózati kábel meghibásodott, a kockázatok elkerülése érdekében
Philips szakszervizben ki kell cserélni.
Figyelem
- A készüléket kizárólag Philips hivatalos szakszervizbe vigye vizsgálatra, illetve
javításra. Amennyiben nem szakember próbálja megjavítani a készüléket, a
garancia érvényét veszti.
- Ne használjon normál őrölt kávét vagy szakadt kávépárnát a SENSEO®
készülékhez, mert az annak eldugulását okozhatja.
- Ne használja a kávéfőzőt transzformátorral együtt, mert az veszélyes helyzeteket
eredményezhet.
- A készüléket minden esetben hideg, egyenes, stabil felületen helyezze el.
- Működés közben soha ne hagyja felügyelet nélkül a készüléket.
- Ne használja a készüléket a tengerszint felett 2200 méternél magasabban fekvő
helyen.
- A készülék nem működik 10°C-nál hidegebb helyen.
- Az első használat előtt öblítse át a készüléket friss vízzel (lásd a „A készülék
előkészítése a használathoz” c. részt). Ennek során a forraló is megtelik vízzel, ami
elengedhetetlen a készülék megfelelő működéséhez.
- Ne használja a SENSEO® készüléket ioncserélő eljárás alapján működő
vízlágyítóval.
- A SENSEO® készülék vízkőmentesítése háromhavonta ajánlott. Ha a készülék
vízkőmentesítése nem történik meg időben a „Vízkőmentesítés” című fejezetben
ismertetett eljárás szerint, a készülék elromolhat.
- A vízkőmentesítési műveletet soha ne szakítsa meg!
- Soha ne használjon olyan vízkőmentesítő szert, amely olyan ásványi savakat
tartalmaz, mint a kénsav, sósav, szulfát sav vagy ecetsavat (pl. ecet). Ezek a
vízkőmentesítők károsíthatják az Ön SENSEO® kávéfőzőjét.
Soha ne fordítsa a SENSEO® készüléket az oldalára. Mindig tartsa álló helyzetben,
még szállítás közben is.
Elektromágneses mezők (EMF)
Ez a készülék megfelel az elektromágneses mezőkre (EMF) vonatkozó szabványoknak.
Amennyiben a használati útmutatóban foglaltaknak megfelelően üzemeltetik, a
tudomány mai állása szerint a készülék biztonságos.
A készülék előkészítése a használathoz
Megjegyzés: A SENSEO® kávéfőzőt fel kell tölteni vízzel a kávéfőzéshez!
Az átöblítés során a forraló megtelik vízzel. Ezt követően a készülék használatra kész.
A készülék átöblítését a következőképpen végezze:
1 Döntse a víztartályt kifelé, majd emelje ki a készülékből (ábra 2).
2 Töltse fel hideg vízzel a víztartályt a MAX jelzésig. (ábra 3)
3 A víztartály visszahelyezése a kávéfőzőbe: enyhén döntse meg, majd először a
víztartály alját helyezze be (1). Ezután nyomja a helyére a víztartály felső részét
(2).
4 A kar felfelé mozgatásával nyissa ki a fedelet (ábra 4).
5 Helyezze az egycsészés q vagy a kétcsészés kávépárna-tartót qq a
készülékbe, párna nélkül. (ábra 5)
6 Zárja le a fedelet és rögzítse a kart (ábra 6).
Megjegyzés: Ügyeljen a kar megfelelő rögzítésére: nyomja le kattanásig. A készüléket csak
akkor lehet átöblíteni, ha a fedél megfelelően le van zárva.
7 Csatlakoztassa a hálózati dugót földelt fali konnektorba.
8 A víz felfogásához helyezzen egy edényt (legalább 1500 ml űrtartalmút) a
kávékifolyó nyílása alá. (ábra 7)
Megjegyzés: Az edény stabilan álljon a cseppfelfogó tálcán vagy a készülék talapzatán,
hogy öblítés közben ne mozogjon és ne boruljon fel. Szögletes és kerek edényt is
használhat.
9 Nyomja meg a be- és kikapcsológombot 3 (1), majd röviden az 1-csésze q és
a 2-csésze gombot qq egyszerre (2). (ábra 8)
,A forraló feltöltődik a víztartályban levő vízzel. Ez néhány percig tart (kb. 90-
150 másodperc). Az átöblítés a normál kávéfőzésnél nagyobb zajjal jár.
Megjegyzés: A készülék első használata előtt tisztítsa meg a kávékifolyót, a kávékifolyó
fedelét, a kávégyűjtőt, a kávépárna-tartókat és a víztartályt mosogatógépben vagy meleg,
mosogatószeres vízben.
A Philips SENSEO® kávéfőző ezt követően használatra kész.
A készülék használata
Ha a készülék csak kevés, illetve semennyi kávét sem készít, ez azt jelenti, hogy
nem öblítette át megfelelően a kávéfőzőt az első használat előtt. Ezért a forraló
nem vagy csak félig töltődött fel vízzel. Újabb adag kávé készítése előtt öblítse
el megfelelően a kávéfőzőt (lásd „A készülék előkészítése a használathoz” című
fejezetet).
1 Töltse fel hideg vízzel a víztartályt egészen a MAX jelzésig, majd helyezze vissza
a készülékbe. (ábra 9)
Tilos tejet, kávét, forró vizet vagy szénsavas vizet a víztartályba önteni.
- q MIN: 1 csésze SENSEO® kávé elkészítéséhez szükséges vízmennyiség.
- qq MIN: 2 csésze SENSEO® kávé elkészítéséhez szükséges vízmennyiség.
- Tele víztartály lehetővé teszi több SENSEO® kávét (legfeljebb 8 csészét) egymás
utáni elkészítését. Így nem szükséges minden egyes kávét főzése előtt feltöltenie
a víztartályt.
2 Nyomja meg a be- és kikapcsológombot 3. (ábra 10)
,A be- és kikapcsológomb jelzőfénye lassan villog, miközben a víz melegszik. A
melegítés körülbelül 75 másodpercet vesz igénybe.

5 Vegye le a dekoratív kifolyófedelet (ábra 20).
6 Vegye le a kávégyűjtőt (ábra 21).
7 Tisztítsa meg a kávékifolyót, a kávékifolyó fedelét, a dekoratív kifolyófedelet, a
kávégyűjtőt, a kávépárna-tartókat, a csészetartó tálcát és a cseppfelfogó tálcát
mosogatógépben vagy meleg, mosogatószeres vízben (ábra 22).
Megjegyzés: Ha kézzel tisztítja a csészetartó tálcát, feltétlenül vegye ki a készülékből,
és fogja a kezében. Óvatosan tartsa, mivel nem megfelelő kezelés esetén éles felülete
sérülést okozhat (ábra 23).
Megjegyzés: A kávépárna-tartók tisztítása után ellenőrizze, nem tömődött-e el a középen
lévő szűrő. Ha igen, tartsa folyó víz alá a kávépárna-tartót, és öblítse ki a tömődést.
Szükség esetén használjon mosogatókefét a szűrő tisztításához (ábra 24).
8 A víztartályt forró, szükség esetén mosogatószeres vízben vagy
mosogatógépben tisztítsa. (ábra 25)
Megjegyzés: Mosogatókefe használatakor ügyeljen arra, hogy ne sértse meg a víztartály
aljában levő szelepet.
Tipp: A víztartály belsejének alapos tisztításához el is távolíthatja a kifröccsenést
megakadályozó peremet.
9 Ne használjon éles tárgyat a készülék vízbetöltő nyílásának
tisztításához (ábra 26).
10 Tisztítást követően, öblítse le a kávéfőző részeit tiszta vízzel, majd helyezze
vissza azokat a készülékbe/-re.
11 A vízelosztó lapot nedves ruhával tisztítsa (ábra 27).
Óvatosan járjon el. Ügyeljen arra, hogy a gumi tömítőgyűrű ne ragadjon be a
vízelosztó lap pereme alá, különben a kávéfőző szivárogni fog.
Átöblítés
Ha három napon át nem használta a kávéfőzőt, öblítse át friss vízzel és csak ezt
követően főzzön vele ismét kávét.
A készülék átöblítését a következőképpen végezze:
1 Töltse fel hideg vízzel a tartályt egészen a MAX jelzésig, majd helyezze vissza a
készülékre. (ábra 9)
2 Helyezze az egycsészés q vagy a kétcsészés kávépárna-tartót qq a
készülékbe, párna nélkül.
3 A víz felfogásához helyezzen egy edényt (legalább 1500 ml űrtartalmút) a
kávékifolyó nyílása alá. (ábra 28)

A készülék feltölti a rendszert a víztartályban levő vízzel. Az öblítés azonnal
megkezdődik, majd a végén a készülék automatikusan kikapcsol.
Vízkőmentesítés (HD7012/HD7011/HD7006)
A vízkőzmentesítés időpontja
Gondoskodjon a SENSEO® kávéfőzőgép gyakori vízkőmentesítéséről! A legideálisabb,
ha évente 4-6 alkalommal vízkőmentesít, de legalább 3 havonta egyszer. A
vízkőmentesítés kb. 1 órát vesz igénybe.
A vízkőmentesítés szükségessége
A vízkő a készülék belsejében alakul ki. Alapvető fontosságú a SENSEO® kávéfőző
vízkőmentesítése legalább 3 havonta. A vízkőmentesítés:
- Meghosszabbítja az Ön SENSEO® kávéfőzőjének élettartamát.
- Biztosítja a csészék maximális térfogatát
- Biztosítja a kávé maximális hőmérsékletét
- A gép halkabban működik, amikor vizet forral.
- Elkerülhető a meghibásodás
Ha a vízkőmentesítést nem megfelelően hajtja végre, akkor a gépben lévő
vízkőmaradványok felhalmozódhatnak tartós, javíthatatlan hibát okozva a készülékben.
Használjon megfelelő vízkőmentesítő szert
Soha ne használjon olyan vízkőmentesítő szert, amely olyan ásványi savakat
tartalmaz, mint a kénsav, sósav, szulfát sav vagy ecetsavat (pl. ecet). Ezek a
vízkőmentesítők károsíthatják az Ön SENSEO® kávéfőzőjét.
Csak a citromsav alapú vízkőmentesítők alkalmasak a SENSEO® készülék
vízkőmentesítésére. Ezek a szerek úgy mentesítik a készüléket a vízkőtől, hogy közben
nem károsítják azt. A megfelelő mennyiség meghatározását lásd a ‘Vízkőmentesítés’
pontban. Minden vízkőmentesítő adag csak egyszer használható fel. Használat után a
vízkőmentesítő már nem hat.
Javasoljuk, hogy használja a speciális SENSEO® vízkőmentesítőt (HD7012, HD7011,
HD7006). Olvassa el a vízkőmentesítő szeren található utasításokat.
Megjegyzés: A speciális SENSEO® vízkőmentesítő szer a SENSEO® készülékeket árusító
üzletekben kapható vagy az interneten keresztül rendelhető meg:

,Amikor a be- és kikapcsológomb jelzőfénye folyamatosan világítani kezd, a
kávéfőző használatra kész.
Megjegyzés: Ha a víztartály nem tartalmaz elég vizet egy csésze SENSEO® kávé
elkészítéséhez, a be- és kikapcsológomb jelzőfénye gyorsan villog, az 1-csésze gomb és
a 2-csésze gomb pedig nem működik.
3 A kar felfelé mozdításával nyissa ki a fedelet (ábra 4).
4 Helyezze a megfelelő kávépárna-tartót a készülékbe.
Megjegyzés: Ellenőrizze, hogy a kávépárna-tartó tiszta-e és a középen lévő szűrő nincs-e
eltömődve, azaz nincs-e rajta kávétörmelék.
- 1 csésze SENSEO® kávé elkészítéséhez helyezzen be 1 kávépárnát, használja az
egycsészés kávépárna-tartót q, és nyomja meg az 1-csésze gombot q. (ábra 11)
- 2 csésze SENSEO® kávé elkészítéséhez helyezzen be 2 kávépárnát, használja a
mélyebb, kétcsészés kávépárna-tartót qq, és nyomja meg a 2-csésze gombot
qq. (ábra 12)
5 Ezt követően helyezze a SENSEO® kávépárnát (vagy párnákat) a kávépárna-
tartó közepére úgy, hogy a domború oldala lefelé mutasson.
Megjegyzés: Gazdag és teljes aroma eléréséhez használja a Douwe Egberts által
kifejezetten a SENSEO® kávéfőzőhöz kifejlesztett SENSEO® kávépárnákat.
- Helyezzen 1 SENSEO® kávépárnát az egycsészés kávépárna-tartóba
q. (ábra 13)
- Helyezzen 2 SENSEO® kávépárnát a 2-csészés kávépárna-tartóba
qq. (ábra 14)
Megjegyzés: Ellenőrizze, hogy a párnában (vagy a párnákban) lévő kávé egyenletesen
eloszlott-e, és nyomja bele óvatosan a párnát a tartóba.
Ne használjon normál őrölt kávét vagy szakadt kávépárnát a készülékhez, mert
eldugulhat.
6 Zárja le a fedelet és rögzítse a kart (ábra 15).
Fontos, hogy kattanásig nyomja lefelé a kart.
Megjegyzés: Csak akkor lehet kávét főzni, ha a fedél megfelelően le van zárva és a kar
rögzítve van.
7 A cseppfelfogó tálca beállítása a csészék méretéhez: először óvatosan felfelé
nyomva vegye ki a cseppfelfogó tálcát (1), majd húzza maga felé (2) (ábra 16).
8 A cseppfelfogó tálca visszahelyezése: nyomja a megfelelő magasságban a
készülék elejéhez (1). Fontos, hogy a cseppfelfogó tálca hátlapjának teteje egy
vonalban legyen valamelyik vezetővonallal. Majd enyhén csúsztassa lefelé a
cseppfelfogó tálcát (2), amíg a horgok a nyílásokba nem illeszkednek.
9 Helyezzen egy vagy két csészét a csészetartó tálcára.
Tipp: A csészék űrtartalma legyen legalább 150 ml. Ne használjon túlságosan nagyméretű
csészéket, mert azokban gyorsabban kihűl a kávé.
10 Egy csésze kávé főzéséhez nyomja meg az 1-csésze gombotq. Két csésze kávé
főzéséhez nyomja meg a 2-csésze gombot qq. (ábra 17)
,A SENSEO® kávéfőző megkezdi a kávé elkészítését. A készülék automatikusan
a megfelelő mennyiségű vizet adagolja.
Megjegyzés: A be- és kikapcsológomb 3 megnyomásával bármikor megszakíthatja a
kávéfőzési műveletet. Amikor ismét bekapcsolja a kávéfőzőt, a készülék nem folytatja a
megszakadt kávéfőzést.
Ne távolítsa el a víztartályt kávéfőzés közben, mert ekkor a készülék levegőt szív
be, és a következő csészét csak részben tölti meg.
11 Használat után emelje ki a kávépárna-tartót a készülékből és vegye ki belőle a
kávépárnát (vagy a párnákat).
Megjegyzés: Eközben legyen óvatos, mert előfordulhat, hogy maradt még forró víz vagy
kávé a párnában.
Tippek:
- Hogy a kávé íze mindig optimális legyen, rendszeresen öblítse ki a kávépárna-
tartókat, a kávégyűjtőt és a kávékifolyót.
- A SENSEO® kávé akkor a legnomabb, ha fogyasztás előtt megkeveri.
- Ha később még egy csésze SENSEO® kávét kíván inni, hagyja bekapcsolva a
készüléket. 30 perc múlva a kávéfőző automatikusan kikapcsol.
Tisztítás
Tilos a SENSEO® kávéfőzőt vízbe meríteni.
A készülék tisztításához ne használjon dörzsszivacsot, súrolószert vagy maró
hatású tisztítószert (pl. benzint vagy acetont).
Tilos a készüléket nyitott fedél mellett öblíteni.
Megjegyzés: Minden levehető alkatrész mosogatógépben tisztítható.
1 Húzza ki a készülék hálózati dugóját a fali aljzatból.
2 A készülék burkolatát puha, nedves törlővel tisztítsa.
A makacs kávéfoltokat ecetes melegvízzel távolíthatja el, majd törölje le tiszta vízzel
megnedvesített puha törlővel.
3 Távolítsa el a kávékifolyót a készülékből. (ábra 18)
4 Vegye le a kávékifolyó fedelét (ábra 19).

Probléma Megoldás
A SENSEO® kávéfőzőt 2200 méter tengerszint feletti
magasság feletti helyen használta. Ezért a víz a szükséges
hőmérséklet elérése előtt forrt fel. Ez akadályozta a készülék
megfelelő működését. Kapcsolja ki a készüléket, és ne
használja a tengerszint felett 2200 méternél magasabban
fekvő helyeken.
A be- és
kikapcsológomb
jelzőfénye
folyamatosan
gyorsan villog.
Ellenőrizze a következőket:
a víztartály megfelelően van a helyén;
elegendő víz van a víztartályban (azaz a q MIN szint fölött, 1
csésze készítése esetén);
a környezeti hőmérséklet nem alacsonyabb 10 °C-nál.
Ellenkező esetben a készülék nem működik megfelelően.
Semmi sem
történik, ha
megnyomom az
egyik gombot.
Ellenőrizze a készülék megfelelő csatlakozását a fali aljzathoz.
Azt is ellenőrizze, hogy megfelelően zárta-e le a fedelet és a
kar rögzítve van-e. Ha a fedél nincs lezárva vagy a kar nincs
kattanásig benyomva, a készülék nem működik.
Víz szivárog a
készülékből.
Valószínűleg a MAX szintnél több vizet töltött a víztartályba.
Ne töltse a víztartályt a MAX szint fölé.
Esetleg eltömődött a kávépárna-tartó közepén lévő szűrő. Ha
így van, a kávépárna-tartót folyó víz alá tartva szüntesse meg
az eltömődést. Szükség esetén használjon mosogatókefét vagy
tűt a szűrő tisztításához.
Ellenőrizze, hogy a kávépárnát megfelelően helyezte-e el a
kávépárna-tartó közepén.
Ellenőrizze, hogy a tömítőgyűrű nem ragadt-e a vízelosztó lap
pereme alá (lásd erről a használati utasítás elején lévő ábrát).
Teljesen természetes, ha néhány csepp víz a munkafelületre
csöppen. Ez például akkor fordulhat elő, amikor a helyére
teszi vagy leveszi a víztartályt. Óvatosan távolítsa el a használt
kávépárnát, mert előfordulhat, hogy maradt még rajta víz.
Esetleg eltávolította a víztartályt, miközben a kávéfőző éppen
melegít, mert ez vízszivárgást idézhet elő (a víz normál
esetben a víztartályba kerülne).
Ha egyik fenti módon sem sikerül megoldania a problémát,
forduljon az országában működő Philips vevőszolgálathoz.
Nem tudom
kinyitni a fedelet. Átmenetileg vákuum alakult ki a fedél alatt.
Kapcsolja ki a készüléket, és várjon 24 órát a fedél kinyitása
előtt. A fedél kinyitásához ne húzza erősen a kart.
Ha kinyitotta a fedelet, vegye ki a kávépárna-tartót és folyó
víz alá tartva szüntesse meg az eltömődést. Szükség esetén
használjon mosogatókefét vagy tűt a szűrő tisztításához.
Ügyeljen arra, hogy ne mozgassa a SENSEO® készüléket. A
készülék mozgatása, szabadba való kihelyezése vagy hűvös,
hideg környezetbe való áthelyezése nem gyorsítja a fedél
kioldását.
NE helyezze a SENSEO® készüléket a hűtőszekrénybe
vagy a mélyhűtőbe, mivel ez nem gyorsítja a fedél kioldását.
A kávépárna-tartó rendszeres tisztításával megelőzheti a
fedél beragadását. Ne tegyen (lternomságúra) őrölt kávét
a kávépárna-tartóba. Amikor a párnát a tartóba helyezi,
domború oldala lefelé mutasson, nehogy elszakadjon.
Ellenőrizze, hogy a párnában lévő kávé egyenletesen
eloszlott-e és nyomja bele óvatosan a párnát a tartóba.
Ha a probléma többször is felmerül, forduljon a Philips
ügyfélszolgálatához.
A készülék
kevesebb kávét
főz, mint korábban.
Esetleg eltömődött el a kávépárna-tartó közepén lévő szűrő.
Ha így van, a kávépárna-tartót folyó víz alá tartva szüntesse
meg az eltömődést. Szükség esetén használjon mosogatókefét
vagy tűt a szűrő megtisztításához.
Vízkőmentesítse a készüléket (lásd a „Vízkőmentesítés” c.
részt).
Vízkőmentesítés
1 Keverjen össze 50 gramm citromsavat 1 liter vízzel egy mérőedényben.
Keverje addig, amíg a por teljesen fel nem oldódik.
2 Töltse meg a víztartályt a vízkőmentesítő keverékkel. Ezután helyezze vissza a
víztartályt a kávéfőzőbe. (ábra 29)
3 Nyomja meg a be- és kikapcsológombot 3. (ábra 10)
Amikor a be- és kikapcsológomb jelzőfénye folyamatosan világítani kezd, a kávéfőző
használatra kész.
4 Helyezze az egycsészés kávépárna-tartót q egy használt kávépárnával a
kávéfőzőbe. Zárja le gondosan a fedelet.
Megjegyzés: A készülék vízkőmentesítéséhez mindig használt kávépárnát használjon. A
kávépárna „szűrőként” funkcionál és megakadályozza, hogy a kávétartóban lévő szűrő
eltömődjön a vízkőmaradékkal.
5 A tisztítókeverék felfogásához helyezzen egy legalább 1500 ml űrtartalmú
edényt a kávékifolyó nyílása alá. (ábra 28)
Megjegyzés: Az edény stabilan álljon a cseppfelfogó tálcán vagy a készülék talapzatán,
hogy vízkőmentesítés közben ne mozogjon és ne boruljon fel. Szögletes és kerek edényt
is használhat.
6 Nyomja meg a 2-csésze qq gombot, és várjon, míg a készülék elvégzi a
feladatot. Ismételje mindaddig, amíg a víztartály ki nem ürül. (ábra 30)
A vízkőmentesítési műveletet soha ne szakítsa meg!
7 Ismételje meg 1-6-ig a lépéseket. Cserélje ki a használt kávépárnát egy másik
használt párnára a vízkőmaradék leszűréséhez.
Megjegyzés: A helyes vízkőmentesítéshez használjon 2 liter vízkőmentesítő keveréket.
Megjegyzés: Nyomja le a kart kattanásig. A vízkőmentesítés csak akkor kezdődik el, ha a
fedél le van zárva és a kar megfelelően rögzítve van.

10 Távolítsa el a használt kávépárnát és tisztítsa ki a kávépárna-tartót a
vízkőmentesítés után, hogy megakadályozza a középen található szűrő vagy
lyuk eltömítődését.
Fagymentes tárolás
A már használt, azaz vízzel már átöblített készüléket kizárólag fagymentes helyen
használja és tárolja. Ellenkező esetben a készülék károsodhat.
Csere
A készülék cserélhető alkatrészei megrendelhetők a Philips szakszerviztől.
Környezetvédelem
- A feleslegessé vált készülék szelektív hulladékként kezelendő. Kérjük,
hivatalos újrahasznosító gyűjtőhelyen adja le, így hozzájárul a környezet
védelméhez (ábra 31).

ezért nincs teljesen feltöltve. Öblítse át a kávéfőzőt (lásd erről
„A készülék előkészítése a használathoz” c. részt) a kávéfőzés
megkezdése előtt.

A SENSEO® kávé

nyomta-e meg. Egy párnához használja az egycsészés
kávépárna-tartót q és nyomja meg az 1-csésze gombot q.
Két kávépárnához használja a kétcsészés kávépárna-tartót
qq és nyomja meg a 2 csésze gombot qq;
a kávépárnát megfelelően, a kávépárna-tartó közepén
helyezte-e el, megakadályozva a víz szivárgását a kávépárna
széleinél. Amikor két kávépárnát használ egymásra helyezve,
ügyeljen arra, hogy mindkét kávépárna domború oldala lefelé
mutasson, majd nyomja enyhén a párnákat a kávépárna-
tartóba (lásd „A készülék használata” című fejezet 6. lépését).

azokban gyorsabban kihűl a kávé. A csésze űrtartalma legyen
1,5 dl, bögre esetén 2,8 dl.
Ha hosszabb ideig szeretné melegen tartani a kávét, melegítse
fel a csészét forró vízzel.
Kávéfőzés közben
a készülék fröcsköl.
Helyezze magasabbra a cseppfelfogó tálcát, hogy a csésze
széle közelebb legyen a kifolyóhoz.
