Parts DescriPtion
GeneraL WarninG
These instructions contain many WARNINGS. Read and
understand all of the WARNINGS. Failure to assemble and
use this Thule child carrier correctly may lead to serious
personal injury or death to you or your passenger.
• When the Thule child carrier is used as a Bicycle
Trailer, the stroller wheels must never be installed in
their in-use position (wheels down). They may only be
carried in their out-of-use position (wheels up).
• To prevent the Thule child carrier from tipping
backwards, the storage bags at the rear of the carrier
must not be loaded with excessive weight. Carry out
the following check while the carrier is standing on a
at surface:
• Tip the Thule child carrier backwards by about
15cm/6in. The Thule child carrier should return
to its original standing position and should not tip
backwards. A maximum combined load of 4kg/8.8lb
is allowable in all the rear storage bags together if no
Thule console is being used.
• The maximum allowable load of the Console is
1kg/2.2lb. The maximum allowable load of the other
rear storage bags is reduced to 2kg/4.4lb if the Thule
console is loaded with 1kg/2.2lb.
• The Thule Strolling Kit is not suitable for inline skating
or jogging.

1.1 instaLLinG the thULe stroLLinG Kit
A. Press and hold in the caster button on one of the
VersaWings™. (See image 1)
B. Insert the caster shaft up into the caster hole.
(See image 2)
C. Release the caster button.
D. Verify that the caster wheel is securely attached to the
Thule child carrier by giving it a sharp pull downward.

A. Press the caster button on one of the VersaWings™
and insert the caster shaft from the top down into
the caster hole. (See image 3)
B. Repeat for the other caster wheel.
C. Removal is the opposite to installation.
D. Verify that the caster wheel is securely attached to the
Thule child carrier by giving it a sharp pull upward.

WARNING
Always make sure that the stroller wheels are
properly and fully engaged and locked. To
check this move the stroller wheels up and
down in a vertical direction. Make sure the
plastic locking button has fully clicked back out.

NOTICE
It is recommended that wheel shafts be checked
regularly. If loose shafts are noticed, it is
recommended to service the kit. Refer to the next
page for servicing instructions.

A. Remove the caster wheel from the chassis.
B. Slide the large o-ring off of the axle. (See image 1)
C. Using the Phillips head screwdriver and 13mm/1/2in
wrench, remove the bolt through the wheel and take
the wheel off. (See image 2)
D. Using a small straight-blade screwdriver, pry the
c-clip off of the axle and pull the axle out. (See
image 3)
E. With the small straight blade screwdriver, dig under
the small o-rings and slide the o-rings off of the axle.

F. Lightly grease two of the small replacement o-rings
and the axle.
G. Fit the two small replacement o-rings onto the axle
in the same positions as the previous ones. Do not
use any tools to prevent damaging the o-rings.

H. Reinstall the axle; slide a replacement c-clip back
onto the axle and snap it in place using pliers.

I. Put the wheel back on and tighten the bolt through it.
J. Slide a large replacement o-ring onto the axle.
