1 Introduction
This instruction manual is for users of the TRUST 360 USB 2.0 SPACEC@M. This
camera can be used to record video clips, take photographs (snapshots) or as a
webcam for the Internet. This camera is intended for use with a USB 2.0 port,
although it can also be connected to a USB 1.1 port.
2 Safety
Carefully read the following instructions before use:
- The TRUST 360 USB 2.0 SPACEC@M does not require any special
maintenance. Use a slightly damp, soft cloth to clean the camera.
- Do not use aggressive substances, such as white spirit, to clean the camera.
These may harm the material.
- Do not use this camera near water.
- Make sure nothing is placed on the cable. Do not use the camera in an area
where the cable can become worn or damaged as a result of people walking over
it.
- Do not repair the camera yourself.
3 Approval
- This camera meets the essential requirements and other relevant conditions of the
applicable European directives. The Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is available
at www.trust.com/13959/ce.
4 Functions
Camera functions (see figure 1):

5 Installation
5.1 Webcam
See the Quick Installation Guide.
5.2 Photo Impression 3.0
Carry out the following to install Photo Impression:
1. Insert the Trust Installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
2. The Trust Installer will start automatically. If it does not start automatically,
double-click the ‘My Computer’ icon on your Windows desktop, open the CD-
TRUST 360 USB 2.0 SPACEC@M
ROM drive and start the Trust Installer by double-clicking the ‘setup.exe’ file
included on the CD-ROM.
3. Select ‘Install Software’ from the menu.
4. Select ‘Photo Impression 3.0’.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Once the installation has been completed, click ‘Finish’ to complete the
installation process and restart your computer.
5.3 Video Impression 1.6
Carry out the following to install Video Impression:
1. Follow points 1 to 3 of chapter 5.2.
2. Select ‘Video Impression 1.6’.
3. Follow points 5 and 6 of chapter 5.2.
6 Using the webcam
6.1 Taking a snapshot using Photo Impression
1. Click the Photo Impression icon on your Windows desktop. Figure 2 will
appear.
2. Click ‘Camera/Scanner’ (A, figure 3).
3. Select ‘360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M’ for point B (see figure 3).
4. Click the Camera/Scanner icon (C, figure 3). The TWAIN window will now be
opened (see figure 4).
5. Click the ‘Capture’ button (A, figure 4) to take a photograph.
6. Click ‘Exit’ (B, figure 4) to transfer the photograph(s) to Photo Impression.
The photographs will now appear with the other photographs in figure 3.
7. The photograph can now be selected and edited. Select the photograph by
clicking it and then clicking ‘OK’.

window.
6.2 Recording video clips using Video Impression
Video Impression 1.6 can be used to record video clips with your TRUST 360
USB2.0 SPACEC@M.
1. Click the Video Impression icon on your Windows desktop. Figure 5 will
appear.
2. Click the ‘New’ icon (see figure 5). Figure 6 will appear.
3. Click the ‘Acquire’ icon (A, figure 6). Figure 7 will appear.
4. Select ‘360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M’.
5. Click ‘Select’ (see figure 7) to select the webcam. Figure 6 will appear.
6. Click the ‘Capture’ icon (B, figure 6) to record video clips. Figure 8 will appear.
7. Click button A (see figure 8) to view a live video image.
8. Click button B (see figure 8) to start recording a video clip.

9. To stop recording a video clip, click button D (see figure 8) or the Esc key on
your keyboard.
10. You can view the video clip by clicking button C (see figure 8).
11. The video clip can be saved by clicking the Diskette icon E (see figure 8). You
can specify the location where you wish to save the video clip.

window.
6.3 Holding a video conference using MSN/Windows
Messenger
Note: In order to take part in a videoconference, both yourself and the other
participants must have an activated Internet connection and, in this case,
Messenger.
Note: This explanation is for Windows Messenger 4.7 and MSN Messenger 6.1.
For the functionality of other versions of Messenger or alterations, please
see Microsoft's explanation of Messenger which can usually be found by
pressing F1.
In the latest releases of Microsoft Windows, Windows Messenger is included in the
Windows Start menu. If your version of Windows does not include Windows
Messenger, it can be downloaded from the Microsoft Internet site:
www.microsoft.com.
6.3.1 Configuring Messenger
You can register for a free Microsoft account via Messenger. You must enter a user
name and a password. After you have requested an account, you can add your
friends and family members who also have Messenger to your contact list in
Windows Messenger. Also see the Messenger Help function.

Once you have received approval from the other person to enter his or her name in
your contact list, then his or her alias will be displayed in your contact list. The
contact list displays who is online and who is not online. If the person is displayed as
being online, you can then send this person instant messages by double-clicking that
person’s alias. A new window will appear in which you can type or receive messages.
6.3.2 Holding a videoconference using Messenger
Note: Connect a microphone to your computer so that you can also talk to the
other participants of the videoconference.
A videoconference is started in the same way as sending a message. Double-click
the alias of one of the people who are online. The window usually used to send
messages will be opened. Next, double-click the webcam icon. An installation Wizard
will appear if this is the first time you wish to hold a videoconference. Follow the on-
screen instructions.
Note: Select the TRUST 360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M as the video source.
Select ‘Line-in’ as your sound card’s audio input. Select your sound
card’s audio output for the sound playback.
If another person accepts your request, this person’s image will appear in the top
right-hand corner and your image will appear in the bottom right-hand corner. Please

7 Troubleshooting

7.1 Uninstalling old drivers and devices
Most errors which occur during the installation are caused by the presence of drivers
for similar, old devices. The best solution is to remove all the drivers for older devices
before installing the new driver. Make sure you only remove the drivers for old,
unused (similar) devices.
1. Click 'Start - Settings – Control Panel’ and double-click the 'Add/Remove
Programs’ icon.
2. Find all the programs for similar, old devices and remove them by clicking the
‘Add/Remove’ button.
3. Restart the computer.
7.2 Checking after the installation
After installing the driver, the following are installed on your computer and can be
checked:
‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’. Double-click the ‘System’ icon and select the
‘Device Manager’ tab.
- Imaging devices – 360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M
‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’ and then double-click the ‘Add/Remove Programs’
icon.
- 360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M
Start - Programs – 360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M
- Uninstall 360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M
Note: Deviations may occur as a result of using new drivers available on the
Internet.
Note: The location or name may vary in the Windows Control Panel for different
operating systems.
7.3 Removing the driver
Carry out the following to remove the webcam’s driver from your computer.
1. Disconnect the webcam from your PC.
2. Click ‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’. (In Windows XP: ‘Start – Control
Panel’).
3. Double-click the ‘Add/Remove Programs’ icon.
4. Select ‘360 USB2.0 SPACEC@M’.

8 Warranty conditions
- Our products have a two-year manufacturer's warranty which is effective from the
date of purchase.
- If there is a fault, return the product to your dealer and include a description of the
fault, the proof of purchase and all the accessories.
- During the warranty period, you will receive a similar product, if one is available. If
no similar product is available, your product will be repaired.

- The warranty becomes invalid if the product has been opened, if there is
mechanical damage, if the product has been misused, if alterations have been
