Follow all instructions.
Do not use this apparatus near water.

Introduction
By connecting the Bluetooth adapter to your
Hi-Fispeakersystem,youcanenjoyaudiofrom
your Bluetooth-enabled device on your Hi-Fi
system through Bluetooth wireless connection.

3 Before use
Always follow the instructions in this chapter in
sequence.
Connect audio cables
There are three ways to connect the Bluetooth
adaptertoyourHi-Fisystem.Selectonetfor
the Hi-Fi system.
Option 1: Connect through the AUX
OUT socket
Connect the RCA audio cable between
• the AUX OUT socket on the Bluetooth
adapter, and
• the analogue audio input sockets on your
Hi-Fi system.
Option 2: Connect through the
COAXIAL OUT socket
LR
Connect a coaxial audio cable between
• the COAXIAL OUT socket on the
Bluetooth adapter, and
• the coaxial audio input socket on your
Hi-Fi system.
Note
•Make sure that no cable is plugged in the AUX OUT
socket.
Option 3: Connect through the
OPTICAL OUT socket
Connect an optical audio cable between
• the OPTICAL OUT socket on the
Bluetooth adapter, and
• the optical audio input sockets on your
Hi-Fi system.
Note
•Make sure that no cable is plugged in the AUX OUT
socket.

Connect power
Caution
•Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power
supply voltage matches the voltage printed on the
bottom of the unit.
•Risk of electric shock! Hold the plug securely when
unplugging the device.
Note
•The type plate is located on the bottom of the
Bluetooth adaptor.
Connect the power adaptor to:
• the DC IN socket at the back of the
Bluetooth adapter.
• the wall outlet.

4 Use the
Bluetooth
adapter
Connect the Bluetooth adapter to your Hi-Fi
system with audio cable, and then you can
stream audio from your Bluetooth device to the
Hi-Fi system via Bluetooth.
Connect a Bluetooth device
Note
•WOOX Innovations does not guarantee the
compatibility with all Bluetooth devices.
•Before pairing a device with this product, read its user
manual for Bluetooth compatibility. Make sure that the
connected Bluetooth device supports the Advanced
AudioDistributionProle(A2DP)andtheAudioVideo
RemoteControlProle(AVRCP).
•The product can connect a maximum of 3 Bluetooth
devices simultaneously.
•Make sure that Bluetooth function is enabled on your
device, and your device is set as visible to all other
Bluetooth devices.
•The operational range between this product and a
Bluetoothdeviceisapproximately10meters(33feet).
•Any obstacle between this product and a Bluetooth
device can reduce the operational range.
•Keep away from any other electronic device that may
cause interference.

The LED Bluetooth indicator in the button
indicates the status of Bluetooth connection.

Enter Bluetooth pairing mode
• When connected to power, the Bluetooth
adapter tries to connect with the last
paired device. If no device is paired, the
Bluetooth adapter enters Bluetooth pairing
mode automatically.
• Afterwards press and hold for 2 seconds
to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
Note
•If Bluetooth pairing fails in 15 minutes, the Bluetooth
adapter exits the pairing mode.
Connect manually
1 Press and hold for 2 seconds to switch
this Bluetooth adapter to pairing mode.
» The Bluetooth indicator in the button
blinks in 4 Hz.
2 On your Bluetooth device, enable the
Bluetooth feature and search for devices.
3 In the device list, select PHILIPS AEA2700.
• If a message prompts for the
permission for Bluetooth connection
with PHILIPS AEA2700,conrmit.
• If a password is required, enter 0000
andthenconrm.
Connect easily by NFC
If your Bluetooth device supports NFC (Near
FieldCommunication),youcanconnectitwith
this product easily.
1 On your device, enable NFC and
Bluetooth functions.
2 Tap the back of your Bluetooth device at
the NFC tag on this product.
3 On your Bluetooth device, follow the on-
screen instructions to complete the pairing
and connection.

Connect a fourth Bluetooth device
• Connect the fourth device manually (see
'Connectmanually'onpage6).
• Press and hold for 2 seconds to switch
AEA2700 to pairing mode, and then
connect the fourth Bluetooth device by
NFC (see 'Connect easily by NFC' on
page6).
» Once the fourth device is connected,
the earliest connected device will be
replaced, if there is no music play.
Disconnect a device
• On your device, disable the Bluetooth
connection with this product.
• If the Bluetooth connection is activated
by NFC, tap the back of your Bluetooth
device at the NFC tag on this product.
Reconnect a device
• For a paired Bluetooth device on which
the automatic reconnection is enabled,
this product reconnects with it once it is
detected.
• For a paired Bluetooth device that does
not support the automatic reconnection,
reconnect it with this product manually.
Clear pairing history
Press and hold for 5 seconds.
» The connected speaker beeps three
times.

Warning
•Never remove the casing of this product.
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair
the product yourself.
If you encounter problems when using this
device, check the following points before
requesting service. If the problem remains
unsolved, go to the Philips Web page (www.
philips.com/support).Whenyoucontactthe
Consumer Care, make sure that the product
is nearby and the model number and serial
number are available.
General
No power
•Make sure that the AC power adapter is
connected properly.
•Make sure that there is power at the AC
outlet.
No sound from your Hi-Fi system
•Check if the Hi-Fi system is connected to
power.
•Make sure that the system is connected
with the Bluetooth adapter properly.
•Make sure that the Bluetooth wireless
connection is successful.
•Adjustthevolumeofyoursystemand
Bluetooth device.
•Make sure that the Hi-Fi system is in
Audio-in or line-in mode.
About Bluetooth device
The audio quality is poor after connection
with a Bluetooth-enabled device.
•The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the
device closer to the Bluetooth adaptor or
remove any obstacle between the device
and the adaptor.
Cannot connect with the device.
•The Bluetooth function of the device is not
enabled. Refer to the user manual of the
device for how to enable the function.
•The adapter is already connected with
another Bluetooth-enabled device.
Disconnect that device and then try again.
The paired device connects and disconnects
constantly.
•The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the
device closer to the Bluetooth adapter or
remove any obstacle between the device
and the adapter.
•For some devices, the Bluetooth
connection may be deactivated
automatically as a power-saving feature.
This does not indicate any malfunction of
the system.
