Do not install the appliance in a confined space, such as a
bookcase or built-in cabinet.
Do not expose the batteries (battery pack or batteries
installed) to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like
for a long time.
Do not subject the batteries to extreme low temperature
conditions that may result in overheating and thermal
runaway.

Disposal of waste batteries and
electrical and electronic equipment
(applicable in the European Union
and other countries with separate
collection systems)
This symbol on the product, the battery
or on the packaging indicates that the
product and the battery shall not be
treated as household waste. On certain batteries this
symbol might be used in combination with a chemical
symbol. The chemical symbol for lead (Pb) is added if the
battery contains more than 0.004% lead. By ensuring that
these products and batteries are disposed of correctly,
you will help to prevent potentially negative
consequences for the environment and human health
which could be caused by inappropriate waste handling.
The recycling of the materials will help to conserve natural
resources.
In case of products that for safety, performance or data
integrity reasons require a permanent connection with an
incorporated battery, this battery should be replaced by
qualified service staff only. To ensure that the battery and
the electrical and electronic equipment will be treated
properly, hand over these products at end-of-life to the

Precautions
On BLUETOOTH® communications
• Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a range of
about 10 m. Maximum communication range may vary
depending on obstacles (human body, metal, wall, etc.) or
electromagnetic environment.
• Bluetooth communications may be disabled, or noise or
audio dropout may occur under the following conditions.
– There is a human body between the unit and the
Bluetooth device.
This situation may be improved by placing the Bluetooth
device facing the aerial of the unit.
– There is an obstacle, such as metal or a wall, between
the unit and the Bluetooth device.
– A Wi-Fi device or microwave oven is in use, or
microwaves are emitted near the unit.
– The aerial is built into the unit as illustrated in the dotted
line (Fig. ).
The sensitivity of the Bluetooth communications will
improve by removing any obstacles between the
connected Bluetooth device and the aerial of this unit.
• Because Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n) use
the same frequency (2.4 GHz), microwave interference may
occur resulting in noise or audio dropout or
communications being disabled if this unit is used near a
Wi-Fi device. In such a case, perform the following.
– Use this unit at least 10m away from the Wi-Fi device.
– If this unit is used within 10m of a Wi-Fi device, turn off
the Wi-Fi device.
– Install this unit and the Bluetooth device as near to each
other as possible.
• Microwaves emitting from a Bluetooth device may affect
the operation of electronic medical devices. Turn off this
unit and other Bluetooth devices in the following locations,
as it may cause an accident:
– where inflammable gas is present, in a hospital, or a
petrol station
– near automatic doors or a fire alarm.
• Due to the characteristic of the wireless technology, the
sound played on this unit is delayed from the sound and
music played on the sending device. Therefore, the image
and sound may be misaligned when viewing a movie or
playing a game.
• This product emits radio waves when used in wireless
mode.
When used in wireless mode on an airplane, follow flight
crew directions regarding permissible use of products in
wireless mode.
• This unit supports security capabilities that comply with
the Bluetooth standard to provide a secure connection
when the Bluetooth wireless technology is used, but
security may not be enough depending on the setting. Be
careful when communicating using Bluetooth wireless
technology.
• We do not take any responsibility for the leakage of
information during Bluetooth communications.
• Connection with all Bluetooth devices cannot be
guaranteed.
– A device featuring Bluetooth function is required to
conform to the Bluetooth standard specified by
Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and be authenticated.
– Even if the connected device conforms to the above
mentioned Bluetooth standard, some devices may not
be connected or work correctly, depending on the
features or specifications of the device.
– While talking on the phone hands free, noise may occur,
depending on the device or communication
environment.
• Depending on the device to be connected, it may require
some time to start communications.
If sound skips frequently during playback
• The situation may be improved by setting the sound
quality mode to “priority on stable connection.” For details,
refer to the Help Guide.
• The situation may be improved by changing the wireless
playback quality settings or fixing the wireless playback
mode to SBC on the transmitting device. For details, refer
to the operating instructions supplied with the
transmitting device.
• If you are using a smartphone, the situation may be
improved by shutting down unnecessary applications or
rebooting the smartphone.
On the use of calling apps for smartphones and
computers
• This unit supports normal incoming calls only. Calling apps
for smartphones and computers are not supported.
On charging the unit
• This unit can be charged using USB only. Personal
computer with USB port is required for charging.
• This unit cannot be turned on, nor can the Bluetooth and
noise cancelling functions be used, during charging.
• If you do not use the unit for a long time, the rechargeable
battery may not be able to keep sufficient charge. The
battery will be able to keep a charge properly after
repeatedly discharging and charging several times.
• If you store the unit for a long time, charge the battery
once every half year to prevent over-discharge.
• If the length of time you can use the unit became
extremely short, the rechargeable battery should be
replaced with a new one. Please contact your nearest Sony
dealer for a battery replacement.
• Make sure to close the micro-USB port cover securely after
charging (Fig. ).
Note on static electricity
• Static electricity accumulated in the body may cause mild
tingling in your ears. To minimise the effect, wear clothes
made from natural materials.
If the unit does not operate properly
• Reset the unit (Fig. ).
Press the and – buttons simultaneously while charging.
The unit will be reset. Pairing information is not deleted.
• If the problem persists even after the resetting operation
above, initialize the unit as follows.
Disconnect the micro-USB cable from the micro-USB port,
turn off the unit, then hold down the and buttons
simultaneously for more than 7 seconds. The indicator
(blue) flashes 4times, and the unit is reset to the factory
settings. All pairing information is deleted.
• After the unit is initialized, it may not connect to your
iPhone or computer. In this case, delete the pairing
information of the unit from the iPhone or computer, and
then pair them again.
What is noise cancelling?
• The noise cancelling circuit actually senses outside noise
with built-in microphones and sends an equal-but-
opposite cancelling signal to the unit.
– The noise cancelling effect may not be pronounced in a
very quiet environment, or some noise may be heard.
– Depending on how you wear the unit, the noise
cancelling effect may vary or a beeping sound (howling)
may occur. In these cases, take off the unit and put it on
again.
– The noise cancelling function works for noise in the low
frequency band primarily. Although noise is reduced, it is
not cancelled completely.
– When you use the unit in a train or a car, noise may
occur depending on street conditions.
– Mobile phones may cause interference and noise.
Should this occur, locate the unit further away from the
mobile phone.
– Do not cover the microphones of the unit () with your
hands. The noise cancelling function or the Ambient
Sound Mode may not work properly, or a beeping sound
(howling) may occur. In these cases, take your hands off
of the microphones of the unit (Fig. ).
On wearing the unit
• After use, remove the headphones slowly.
• Because the headphones are of a high density enclosure,
forcing them against your ears may result in eardrum
damage.
Pressing the headphones against your ears may produce a
diaphragm click sound. This is not a malfunction.
Splash proof performance of this unit
The splash proof specifications of this unit are equivalent
to IPX41) in IEC 60529 “Degrees of protection against
ingress of water (IP Code)”, which specifies the degree of
protection provided against the entry of water.
(Make sure that the micro-USB port cover is closed
securely when you use the unit.)
However, the unit cannot be used in water. Unless the unit
is used correctly, water may get into the unit and cause
fire, electrocution, or malfunctions.
Note the following cautions carefully and use the unit
correctly.
1) IPX4 (degree of protection against splashing water):
Protected against water splashing from any direction.

specifications apply to
Applicable: Fresh water, tap water, perspiration
Not applicable: Liquids other than those above
(examples: soapy water, detergent water, water with
bath agents, shampoo, hot spring water, pool water,
seawater, etc.)
Splash proof performance of the unit is based on
Sony measurements under the conditions
described above. Note that malfunctions as a result
of water immersion caused by misuse by the
customer are not covered by the warranty.
To maintain splash proof performance
Note the following cautions carefully and use the unit
correctly.
• The micro-USB port cover is important for maintaining
splash proof performance. Make sure the micro-USB port
cover is closed securely when you use the unit. If the
cover has any foreign objects on it or is not completely
closed, splash proof performance cannot be maintained.
In addition, water may get into the unit and cause
malfunctions.
• Do not splash water forcibly against the cylindrical part
from which sound is emitted. Doing so may deteriorate
the splash proof performance of the unit.
• Do not put the unit in water or use it in a humid place
such as a bathroom.
• Do not drop the unit or expose it to mechanical shock.
Doing so may deform or damage the unit, resulting in
deterioration of splash proof performance.
• Wipe off with a soft dry cloth any water that gets on the
unit. If water remains in the earbud holes, the sound
may seem low or not be audible at all. In this case,
remove the earbuds, face the sound conduit downward,
and shake the sound conduit a couple of times (Fig. )
• Do not leave the unit with water on it in cold places as
the water may freeze. In order to avoid malfunctions,
make sure that you wipe off water after use.
• If the unit is cracked or deformed, refrain from using the
unit near water or contact your nearest Sony dealer.
Others
• Do not place this unit in a place exposed to humidity, dust,
soot or steam, or in a car or place subject to direct sunlight.
• Using the Bluetooth device may not function on mobile
phones, depending on radio wave conditions and location
where the equipment is being used.
• High volume may affect your hearing.
• For traffic safety, do not use while driving or cycling.
• Do not use the unit in places where it would be dangerous
if you are unable to hear ambient sound, such as at
railroad crossings, train station platforms, and construction
sites.
• Keep earbuds clean. To clean the earbuds, wash them with
a mild detergent solution.
• Do not subject the unit to excessive shock.
• Clean the unit with a soft dry cloth.
• Do not expose the unit to water.
Remember to follow the precautions below.
– Be careful not to drop the unit into a sink or other
container filled with water.
– Do not use the unit in humid locations or bad weather,
such as in the rain or snow.
• If you experience discomfort after using the unit, stop
using the unit immediately.
• Install the earbuds firmly. If an earbud accidentally
detaches and is left in your ear, it may cause injury.
• Since children may swallow small parts such as an earbud,
keep the unit out of reach of children.
• If you have any questions or problems concerning this unit
that are not covered in this manual, please consult your
nearest Sony dealer.
Long Hybrid silicone rubber earbuds are consumables. If
they are damaged or deteriorated, consult your nearest
Sony dealer to replace them.
Optional replacement arc supporters can be ordered from
your nearest authorized Sony retailer.

À propos des communications BLUETOOTH®
• La technologie sans fil Bluetooth fonctionne dans un rayon
d’environ 10 m. La portée de communication maximale
peut varier en fonction des obstacles (corps humain, objet
métallique, mur, etc.) ou de l’environnement
électromagnétique.
• Les communications Bluetooth peuvent être désactivées,
des parasites ou des pertes de niveau sonore peuvent
apparaître dans les conditions suivantes.
– Une personne se trouve entre l’appareil et le
périphérique Bluetooth.
Cette situation peut être améliorée en plaçant le
périphérique Bluetooth face à l’antenne de l’appareil.

se trouve entre l’appareil et le périphérique Bluetooth.
– Un appareil Wi-Fi ou un four à micro-ondes est utilisé à

La sensibilité des communications Bluetooth pourra être

peuvent perturber le fonctionnement des appareils
médicaux électroniques. Pour éviter tout accident, mettez
cet appareil et les autres périphériques Bluetooth hors
tension s’ils sont situés dans les endroits suivants :
– en présence de gaz inflammable, dans un hôpital ou une
station essence
– à proximité de portes automatiques ou d’alarmes
incendie.
• En raison des caractéristiques de la technologie sans fil, le
son reproduit sur cet appareil est décalé par rapport au
son et à la musique en cours de lecture sur le périphérique
émetteur. Par conséquent, l’image et le son peuvent être
décalés lorsque vous visionnez un film ou utilisez un jeu

• La connexion ne peut pas être garantie avec tous les
périphériques Bluetooth.
– Un périphérique doté de la fonction Bluetooth doit être
conforme à la norme Bluetooth spécifiée par Bluetooth
SIG, Inc. et doit être authentifié.
– Même si le périphérique connecté est conforme à la
norme Bluetooth mentionnée plus haut, il est possible
que certains périphériques ne se connectent pas ou ne
fonctionnent pas correctement, selon leurs
caractéristiques ou spécifications.
– Les communications téléphoniques mains libres peuvent
s’accompagner de parasites, selon le périphérique ou
l’environnement de communication.
• Selon le périphérique à connecter, un certain temps peut
s’écouler avant le début des communications.
En cas de sauts fréquents du son pendant la lecture
• Cette situation peut être améliorée en réglant le mode de
qualité du son sur « priorité à une connexion stable ». Pour
plus de détails, reportez-vous au Guide d’aide.
• La situation peut être améliorée en modifiant les
paramètres de qualité de la lecture sans fil ou en réglant
sur SBC le mode de lecture sans fil du périphérique
émetteur. Pour plus de détails, reportez-vous au mode
d’emploi fourni avec le périphérique émetteur.
• Si vous utilisez un smartphone, la situation peut être
améliorée en arrêtant les applications inutiles ou en
redémarrant le smartphone.
À propos de l’utilisation d’applications d’appel pour
smartphones et ordinateurs
• Cet appareil ne prend en charge que les appels entrants
normaux. Les applications d’appel pour smartphones et
ordinateurs ne sont pas prises en charge.
À propos du chargement de l’appareil
• Cet appareil peut seulement être chargé via USB. Un
ordinateur équipé d’un port USB est nécessaire pour
effectuer le chargement.
• Pendant le chargement, il n’est pas possible de mettre cet
appareil sous tension et d’utiliser les fonctions Bluetooth
et réducteur de bruits.
• Si vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil pendant une période
prolongée, la batterie rechargeable risque de ne pas
garder une charge suffisante. La batterie pourra garder
correctement sa charge après avoir été déchargée et
rechargée à plusieurs reprises.
• Si vous rangez l’appareil pendant une période prolongée,
chargez la batterie deux fois par an pour éviter la décharge
totale.
• Si l’autonomie de l’appareil diminue considérablement,
vous devez remplacer la batterie rechargeable par une
neuve. Contactez votre revendeur Sony le plus proche pour
vous procurer une batterie de rechange.
• Veillez à fermer le cache du port micro-USB de manière
sûre après le chargement (Fig ).
Remarque à propos de l’électricité statique
• L’électricité statique accumulée dans votre corps peut
causer de légers fourmillements dans vos oreilles. Vous
pouvez atténuer cet effet en portant des vêtements en
matière naturelle.
Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas correctement
• Réinitialisez l’appareil (Fig. ).
Appuyez simultanément sur les touches et – pendant le
chargement. L’appareil est réinitialisé. Les informations de
jumelage ne sont pas supprimées.
• Si le problème persiste même après avoir effectué la
réinitialisation ci-dessus, initialisez l’appareil comme suit.
Déconnectez le câble micro-USB du port micro-USB,
mettez l’appareil hors tension, puis maintenez les touches
et enfoncées simultanément pendant plus de 7
secondes. Le témoin (bleu) clignote 4 fois et l’appareil est
réinitialisé selon les paramètres définis en usine. Toutes les
informations de jumelage sont supprimées.
• Après avoir initialisé l’appareil, il est possible qu’il ne se
connecte pas à votre iPhone ou à votre ordinateur. Dans ce
cas, supprimez les informations de jumelage de l’appareil
sur l’iPhone ou l’ordinateur, puis jumelez-les à nouveau.
Qu’est-ce que le réducteur de bruits ?
• Le circuit du réducteur de bruits capte les bruits extérieurs
grâce à ses micros incorporés et envoie à l’appareil un
signal d’annulation des bruits égal, mais opposé.
– Il est possible que l’effet du réducteur de bruits ne soit
pas prononcé dans un environnement très calme, ou
encore que certains bruits soient audibles.
– L’effet du réducteur de bruits peut varier ou un signal
sonore (alarme) peut retentir selon la façon dont vous
portez l’appareil. Dans ces cas, retirez l’appareil et
remettez-le.
– Le réducteur de bruits agit principalement sur la gamme
des basses fréquences. Bien que le bruit soit réduit, il
n’est pas complètement inaudible.
– Lorsque vous utilisez l’appareil dans un train ou en
voiture, des bruits peuvent être perceptibles en fonction
de l’état de la route.
– Les téléphones mobiles peuvent provoquer des
interférences et des bruits. Dans ce cas, éloignez
davantage encore l’appareil du téléphone mobile.
– Ne couvrez pas les micros de l’appareil () avec les
mains. La fonction réducteur de bruits ou le mode bruit
ambiant risque de ne pas fonctionner correctement, ou
un signal sonore (alarme) peut retentir. Dans ces cas,
retirez les mains du micro de l’appareil (Fig. ).
Sur le port de l’appareil
• Après l’utilisation, retirez le casque lentement.
• Étant donné que l’appareil dispose d’une structure haute
densité, les appliquer fermement contre vos oreilles peut
entraîner des lésions des tympans.
Le fait de presser l’appareil contre vos oreilles peut
produire une vibration du diaphragme. Il ne s’agit pas d’un
dysfonctionnement.
Performances anti-éclaboussures de cet appareil
Les caractéristiques de résistance aux projections d’eau de
cet appareil sont équivalentes au niveau IPX4 1) de la
norme IEC 60529 « Degrés de protection contre la
pénétration d’eau (code IP) », qui spécifie le degré de
protection fourni contre l’entrée d’eau.
(Assurez-vous que le cache du port micro-USB est fermé
de manière sûre quand vous utilisez l’appareil.)
L’appareil ne peut toutefois pas être utilisé dans l’eau. Si
l’appareil n’est pas utilisé correctement, de l’eau peut
pénétrer à l’intérieur de celui-ci et provoquer un incendie,
une électrocution ou des dysfonctionnements.
Respectez attentivement les précautions suivantes et
utilisez l’appareil correctement.

conditions décrites ci-dessus. Notez que les
dysfonctionnements liés à une immersion dans
l’eau provoquée par une mauvaise utilisation du
client ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.
Pour maintenir les performances anti-
éclaboussures
Notez soigneusement les précautions suivantes et utilisez
l’appareil correctement.
• Le couvercle du port micro-USB est important pour
maintenir les performances anti-éclaboussures .
Assurez-vous que le couvercle du port micro-USB est
bien fermé lorsque vous utilisez l’appareil. Si des objets
étrangers se trouvent sur le capot, ou si ce dernier n’est
pas complètement fermé, les performances anti-
éclaboussures ne peuvent pas être maintenues. En
outre, de l’eau peut pénétrer dans l’appareil et entraîner
un dysfonctionnement.
• Ne projetez pas d’eau sur la partie cylindrique qui émet
le son. Cela pourrait détériorer les performances
anti-éclaboussures de l’appareil.
• Ne mettez pas l’appareil dans l’eau, ne l’utilisez pas dans
un endroit humide, tel qu’une salle de bain.
• Ne faites pas tomber l’appareil, ne l’exposez pas à un
choc mécanique. Cela pourrait déformer ou
endommager l’appareil, ce qui entraîne la détérioration
des performances anti-éclaboussures.
• Essuyez avec un chiffon doux et sec l’eau se trouvant sur
l’appareil. S’il reste de l’eau dans les trous des oreillettes,
le son peut sembler bas ou ne pas être audible du tout.
Dans ce cas, retirez les oreillettes, placez le conduit
sonore vers le bas et secouez-le plusieurs fois (Fig. ).
• Ne laissez pas l’appareil recouvert d’eau dans des
endroits froids car l’eau peut geler. Pour éviter tout
dysfonctionnement, veillez à essuyer l’eau après
utilisation.
• Si l’unité est fendue ou déformée, n’utilisez pas
l’appareil près de l’eau ou contactez votre revendeur
Sony le plus proche.
Autres
• Ne placez pas cet appareil dans un endroit exposé à
l’humidité, la poussière, la suie ou la vapeur. Ne le laissez
pas non plus dans un lieu ou un véhicule exposé sen plein
soleil.
• Il est possible que l’appareil Bluetooth ne fonctionne pas
avec des téléphones portables, selon l’état des ondes
radio et le lieu d’utilisation.
• Vous risquez de subir des lésions auditives si vous utilisez
cet appareil à un volume trop élevé.
• Pour des raisons de sécurité, ne l’utilisez pas en voiture ou
à vélo.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans des endroits où il peut être
dangereux de ne pas entendre les bruits ambiants,
notamment à proximité d’un passage à niveau, sur un quai
de gare ou sur un chantier.
• Veillez à maintenir les oreillettes propres. Pour nettoyer les
oreillettes, lavez-les avec une solution détergente douce.
• Ne soumettez pas l’appareil à un choc excessif.
• Nettoyez l’appareil avec un chiffon doux et sec.
• N’exposez pas l’appareil à l’eau.
Veillez à respecter les précautions ci-dessous.
– Veillez à ne pas laisser tomber l’appareil dans un évier
ou tout autre récipient rempli d’eau.
– N’utilisez pas l’appareil dans des endroits humides ou
par mauvais temps, notamment sous la pluie ou la
neige.
• Cessez immédiatement d’utiliser l’appareil si vous
éprouvez la moindre gêne.
• Fixez fermement les oreillettes. Si une oreillette se
détachait accidentellement et restait coincée dans votre
oreille, elle risquerait de vous blesser.
• Comme les enfants peuvent avaler de petites pieces telles
qu’une oreillette, tenez l’appareil hors de la portée des
enfants.

l’appareil, qui ne serait pas abordé dans ce manuel,

Precauciones
Sobre las comunicaciones BLUETOOTH®
• La tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth funciona dentro de un
radio de aproximadamente 10 m. El radio máximo de
comunicación puede variar en función de los obstáculos
(personas, metales, paredes, etc.) o el entorno
electromagnético.
• En las siguientes condiciones, es posible que se corte la
comunicación Bluetooth o que se produzca ruido o una
pérdida del audio.
– Presencia de un cuerpo humano entre la unidad y el
dispositivo Bluetooth.
La situación puede mejorar si coloca el dispositivo
Bluetooth mirando hacia la antena de la unidad.
– Presencia de un obstáculo, como un objeto de metal o

– Se está utilizando un dispositivo Wi-Fi o un horno

calidad del sonido en “prioridad a la conexión estable”.

• Si usa un smartphone, la situación puede mejorar si cierra

Utilización de apps de llamadas para smartphones y
ordenadores
• Esta unidad solo admite las llamadas entrantes normales.
La unidad no es compatible con las apps de llamadas para
smartphones y ordenadores.
Carga de la unidad
• Esta unidad funciona únicamente con carga USB. No es
necesario un ordenador personal con puerto USB para la
carga.
• Durante la carga, esta unidad no puede encenderse ni
pueden usarse las funciones Bluetooth o de cancelación
de ruido.
• Si no utiliza la unidad durante un período prolongado, es
posible que la pila recargable no conserve una carga
suficiente. La pila podrá conservar una carga suficiente
después de varios ciclos seguidos de descarga y carga.
• Si almacena la unidad durante un período prolongado,
cargue la pila una vez cada medio año para evitar una
descarga excesiva.
• Si la autonomía de la unidad se reduce notablemente,
sustituya la pila recargable por otra nueva. Póngase en
contacto con su distribuidor Sony para sustituirla.
• Asegúrese de cerrar la cubierta del puerto micro-USB
firmemente después de realizar la carga (Fig ).
Nota acerca de la electricidad estática
• Es posible que sienta un suave cosquilleo en los oídos
debido a la electricidad estática acumulada en el cuerpo.
Puede minimizar el efecto si utiliza ropa confeccionada
con materiales naturales.
Si la unidad no funciona correctamente
• Reinicie la unidad (fig. ).
Pulse los botones y – al mismo tiempo durante la carga.
La unidad se reiniciará. La información de emparejamiento
no se elimina.
• Si el problema continúa incluso después de reiniciar la
unidad, inicialice la unidad de la forma descrita a
continuación.
Desconecte el cable micro USB del puerto micro USB,
apague la unidad y mantenga pulsados los botones y
al mismo tiempo durante más de 7 segundos. El
indicador (azul) parpadea 4 veces y se restablece la
configuración de fábrica de la unidad. Toda la información
de emparejamiento se elimina.
• Después de inicializar la unidad, es posible que no se
conecte a su iPhone o su ordenador. En este caso, elimine
la información de emparejamiento de la unidad del iPhone
o el ordenador y vuelva a emparejarlos.
¿Qué es la cancelación de ruido?
• El circuito de cancelación de ruido detecta el ruido exterior
a través de los micrófonos integrados y envía una señal de
cancelación igual pero de signo contrario a la unidad.
– El efecto de cancelación de ruido tal vez no se aprecie
mucho en entornos muy silenciosos o es posible incluso
que se escuche algún ruido.
– En función de como utilice la unidad, es posible que el
efecto de cancelación de ruido varíe o que se escuche
un pitido. En estos casos, quítese la unidad y vuelva a
ponérsela.
– La función de cancelación de ruido funciona
principalmente para los ruidos de la banda de
frecuencias bajas. Aunque el ruido se reduce, no se
elimina del todo.
– Si utiliza la unidad en un tren o un coche, puede
producirse ruido en función de las condiciones de la
circulación.
– Los teléfonos móviles pueden causar interferencias y
ruido. En estos casos, aleje la unidad del teléfono móvil.
– No tape los micrófonos de la unidad () con las manos.
La función de cancelación de ruido o el Modo sonido
ambiente podrían dejar de funcionar correctamente o
podría escucharse un pitido. En estos casos, aparte las
manos de los micrófonos de la unidad (fig. ).
Utilización de la unidad
• Luego de su uso, quite los auriculares suavemente.
• Puesto que los auriculares tienen una carcasa de alta
densidad, forzarlos contra los oídos podría causar daños
en el tímpano.
Presionar los auriculares contra los oídos podría causar un
sonido de clic en el diafragma. No se trata de un fallo de
funcionamiento.
Funcionamiento a prueba de salpicaduras de esta
unidad
Las especificaciones de splash proof de esta unidad son
equivalentes a IPX4 1) en IEC 60529 “Grados de protección
contra la entrada de agua (código IP)”, que especifica el
grado de protección suministrado contra la entrada de
agua.
(Asegúrese de que la cubierta del puerto micro USB está
cerrada firmemente cuando utilice la unidad.)
No obstante, la unidad no se puede utilizar en el agua. A
menos que la unidad se utilice correctamente, el gua
podría entrar en la unidad y causar incendios,
electrocuciones o fallos de funcionamiento.
Tenga en cuenta las siguientes precauciones con cuidado
y utilice la unidad correctamente.

Para mantener el funcionamiento a prueba de
salpicaduras
Tenga en cuenta las siguientes precauciones y utilice la
unidad correctamente.
• La tapa del puerto micro-USB es importante para
mantener el funcionamiento a prueba de salpicaduras.
Asegúrese de que la tapa del puerto micro-USB está
bien cerrada cuando utilice la unidad. Si la tapa tiene
objetos extraños o no está completamente cerrada, no
puede mantenerse el funcionamiento a prueba de
salpicaduras. Además, puede entrar agua en la unidad y
causar fallos de funcionamiento.
• No tire agua directamente a la parte cilíndrica por la que
se emite el sonido. Si lo hace, puede deteriorarse el
funcionamiento a prueba de salpicaduras de la unidad.
• No coloque la unidad en agua ni la utilice en un lugar
húmedo como un cuarto de baño.
• No deje caer la unidad ni la exponga a golpes
mecánicos. Si lo hace, la unidad puede deformarse o
dañarse, deteriorando el funcionamiento a prueba de
salpicaduras.
• Si hay agua en la unidad, séquela con un paño suave
seco. Si queda agua en los orificios de los adaptadores,
el sonido puede parecer bajo o no ser audible. En este
caso, retire los adaptadores, coloque el conducto de
sonido hacia abajo y sacuda el conducto del sonido un
par de veces (fig. ).
• No deje agua sobre la unidad en lugares fríos, ya que el
agua puede congelarse. Para evitar fallos de
funcionamiento, asegúrese de que seca el agua después
del uso.
• Si la unidad presenta grietas o deformaciones, no la
utilice cerca del agua o póngase en contacto con su
distribuidor Sony más cercano.
Otros
• No deje la unidad en un lugar con presencia de humedad,
polvo, hollín o vapor, ni en un coche u otro lugar expuesto
a la luz solar directa.
• Es posible que el dispositivo Bluetooth no pueda utilizarse
con teléfonos móviles, en función de las condiciones de
las ondas de radio y el lugar en el que se utilice el equipo.
• Si utiliza los auriculares a un volumen alto, puede dañar
sus oídos.
• Por razones de seguridad viaria, no los utilice mientras
conduzca o vaya en bicicleta.
• No utilice la unidad en lugares en los que no escuchar el
sonido ambiente pueda resultar peligroso, como pasos a
nivel, andenes de ferrocarril u obras.
• Mantenga los adaptadores siempre limpios. Para limpiar
los adaptadores, lávelos con una solución de detergente
neutro.
• No exponga la unidad a impactos fuertes.
• Limpie la unidad con un paño suave y seco.
• No exponga la unidad al contacto con el agua.

BLUETOOTH®-Kommunikation
• Die Reichweite der BluetoothFunktechnologie beträgt ca.
10 m. Die maximale Kommunikationsreichweite kann je
nach Hindernissen (Personen, Metall, Wände usw.) oder
der elektromagnetischen Umgebung variieren.
• Unter den folgenden Bedingungen ist keine Bluetooth-
Kommunikation möglich oder Störrauschen bzw.
Tonaussetzer können auftreten.
– Es befindet sich eine Person zwischen dem Gerät und
dem Bluetooth-Gerät.
In dieser Situation kann der Empfang eventuell
verbessert werden, indem Sie das Bluetooth-Gerät auf
die Seite dieses Geräts stellen, an der sich die Antenne
befindet.
– Zwischen diesem Gerät und dem Bluetooth-Gerät
befindet sich ein Hindernis, wie z. B. Metall oder eine
Wand.
– Ein Wi-Fi-Gerät oder ein Mikrowellenherd wird in der

Bei häufigen Tonaussetzern während der Wiedergabe
• Die Empfangsqualität lässt sich eventuell verbessern,
indem Sie „Priorität auf stabiler Verbindung“ als den
Tonqualitätsmodus einstellen. Näheres dazu finden Sie in

indem Sie die Qualitätseinstellungen für die drahtlose
Wiedergabe ändern oder den drahtlosen
Wiedergabemodus am Sendegerät fest auf SBC einstellen.

• Falls Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwenden, hält der
Akku nach dem Laden möglicherweise nicht sehr lange.
Der Akku hält die Ladung wieder länger, nachdem Sie ihn
einige Male entladen und wieder aufgeladen haben.
• Falls Sie das Gerät lange Zeit nicht verwenden, laden Sie
den Akku halbjährlich auf, um ihn vor einer Tiefentladung
zu schützen.
• Wenn sich die Betriebsdauer des Akkus stark verkürzt,
müssen Sie den Akku durch einen neuen ersetzen.
Wenden Sie sich für einen Ersatzakku bitte an Ihren
Sony-Händler.
• Achten Sie darauf, die Abdeckung des Micro-USB
- Anschlusses nach dem Laden sicher zu schließen
(Abb.).
Hinweis zur statischen Aufladung
• Statische Aufladung, die sich im Körper gebildet hat, führt
möglicherweise zu einem leichten Kribbeln in den Ohren.
Der Effekt lässt sich minimieren, indem Sie Kleidungsstücke
aus natürlichen Materialien tragen.
Wenn das Gerät nicht richtig funktioniert
• Setzen Sie das Gerät zurück (Abb. ).
Drücken Sie beim Laden gleichzeitig die Tasten und

• Wenn das Problem auch nach dem oben beschriebenen
Zurücksetzen bestehen bleibt, initialisieren Sie das Gerät
wie folgt. Trennen Sie das Micro-USB-Kabel vom
Micro-USB-Anschluss, schalten Sie das Gerät aus und
halten Sie dann die Tasten und gleichzeitig mehr als
7 Sekunden gedrückt. Die (blaue) Anzeige blinkt 4-mal
und das Gerät wird auf die Werkseinstellungen
zurückgesetzt. Alle Pairing-Informationen werden
gelöscht.
• Nach der Initialisierung des Geräts kann sich das Gerät
eventuell nicht mehr mit Ihrem iPhone oder Computer
verbinden. Löschen Sie in diesem Fall die Pairing-
Informationen des Geräts von Ihrem iPhone oder
Computer und führen Sie das Pairing dann erneut durch.
Was ist das Noise-Cancelling?
• Der Noise-Cancelling-Schaltkreis erkennt
Umgebungsgeräusche über eingebaute Mikrofone und
sendet ein gleichwertiges, aber entgegengesetztes
Schallunterdrückungssignal an das Gerät.
– In einer sehr ruhigen Umgebung ist der Noise-
Cancelling-Effekt nicht sehr ausgeprägt bzw. es sind
noch einige Geräusche zu hören.
– Abhängig davon, wie Sie das Gerät tragen, kann der
Noise-Cancelling-Effekt variieren oder es kann zu einem
piependen Geräusch (Heulen) kommen. Nehmen Sie in
diesem Fall das Gerät ab und setzen Sie es wieder auf.
– Die Noise-Cancelling-Funktion wirkt überwiegend auf
Geräusche mit niedrigen Frequenzen. Diese Geräusche
werden zwar reduziert, aber nicht vollständig
unterdrückt.
– Wenn Sie das Gerät in einem Zug oder Auto verwenden,
können je nach den Verkehrsbedingungen Geräusche zu
hören sein.
– Mobiltelefone können Interferenzen und Störrauschen
verursachen. Sorgen Sie in diesem Fall für mehr Abstand
zwischen dem Gerät und dem Mobiltelefon.
– Bedecken Sie die Mikrofone des Geräts () nicht mit den
Händen. Andernfalls funktioniert der Noise-Cancelling-
Effekt oder der Modus für Umgebungsgeräusche nicht
ordnungsgemäß oder es kann zu einem piependen
Geräusch (Heulen) kommen. Nehmen Sie in diesen
Fällen die Hände von den Mikrofonen des Geräts
(Abb.).
Tragen des Geräts
• Nehmen Sie die Kopfhörer nach dem Gebrauch langsam
heraus.
• Da das Gehäuse der Kopfhörer das Ohr hermetisch
abschließt, kann das Trommelfell verletzt werden, wenn
Sie die Kopfhörer gegen die Ohren drücken.
Wenn Sie die Kopfhörer gegen die Ohren drücken, ist
möglicherweise ein klickendes Geräusch zu hören. Dies ist
keine Fehlfunktion.
Spritzwasserschutz-Leistung dieses Geräts
Die Spezifikationen dieses Geräts zum Spritzwasserschutz
entsprechen der IP-Schutzart IPX41) der Norm IEC 60529
„Schutzgrade gegen Eindringen von Wasser (IP-Code)“, die
den Grad des Schutzes vor eindringendem Wasser
definiert.
(Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Abdeckung des Micro-USB-
Anschlusses sicher verschlossen ist, wenn Sie das Gerät
verwenden.)
Allerdings darf das Gerät nicht im Wasser verwendet
werden. Wenn das Gerät nicht sachgemäß verwendet
wird, kann Wasser eindringen und es besteht Feuergefahr
und die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlags oder es kommt
zu Fehlfunktionen.
Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise
gewissenhaft und verwenden Sie das Gerät sachgemäß.

Quellen, Wasser aus einem Swimming-Pool,
Meerwasser usw.)
Die Spritzwasserschutz-Leistung des Geräts basiert
auf Messungen von Sony unter den oben
beschriebenen Bedingungen. Beachten Sie, dass
Fehlfunktionen als Ergebnis von
Wassereinlagerungen, die durch falschen Gebrauch
des Kunden verursacht wurden, nicht von der
Garantie gedeckt werden.
Aufrechterhaltung der Spritzwasserschutz-Leistung
Beachten Sie genau die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise
und verwenden Sie das Gerät ordnungsgemäß.
• Die micro-USB-Anschlussabdeckung ist wichtig für die
Aufrechterhaltung der Spritzwasserschutz-Leistung.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die micro-
USBAnschlussabdeckung fest verschlossen ist, wenn Sie
das Gerät verwenden. Wenn sich fremde Objekte auf der
Abdeckung befinden oder sie nicht vollständig
verschlossen ist, kann die Spritzwasserschutz-Leistung
nicht aufrechterhalten werden. Zudem kann Wasser in
das Gerät gelangen und Fehlfunktionen verursachen.
• Spritzen Sie kein Wasser stark gegen den zylindrischen
Teil, aus dem der Ton ausgegeben wird. Dabei kann sich
die Spritzwasserschutz-Leistung des Geräts
verschlechtern.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht ins Wasser und verwenden
Sie es nicht an feuchten Orten wie z. B. einem
Badezimmer.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht fallen und setzen Sie es
keinen mechanischen Stößen aus. Dabei kann das Gerät
verformt oder beschädigt werden, wodurch sich die
Spritzwasserschutz- Leistung verschlechtert.
• Wischen Sie mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch Wasser,
das auf das Gerät gelangt, ab. Wenn Wasser in den
Löchern der Ohrpolster verbleibt, kann der Ton leise
erscheinen oder gar nicht hörbar sein. Entfernen Sie in
diesem Fall die Ohrpolster, richten Sie den Soundkanal
nach unten und schütteln Sie ihn mehrmals (Abb. ).
• Lassen Sie an kalten Orten kein Wasser auf dem Gerät,
da das Wasser gefrieren kann. Um Fehlfunktionen zu
vermeiden, stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie Wasser nach der
Verwendung abwischen.
• Wenn das Gerät einen Riss aufweist oder verformt ist,
verwenden Sie es nicht mehr in der Nähe von Wasser
oder wenden Sie sich an den nächsten Sony-Händler.
Sonstiges
• Legen Sie dieses Gerät nicht an einen Ort, an dem es
Feuchtigkeit, Staub, Ruß oder Dampf ausgesetzt ist, und
nicht in ein Auto oder an einen Ort mit direkter
Sonneneinstrahlung.
• Je nach dem Zustand der Funkwellen und dem Ort, an dem
die Geräte verwendet werden, funktioniert das
BluetoothGerät u. U. nicht mit Mobiltelefonen.
• Eine zu hohe Lautstärke kann zu Gehörschäden führen.
• Verwenden Sie Kopfhörer aus Gründen der
Verkehrssicherheit nicht beim Fahren von Kraftfahrzeugen
oder beim Fahrradfahren.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht an Orten, an denen es
gefährlich wäre, keine Umgebungsgeräusche mehr
wahrnehmen zu können, wie z. B. an Bahnübergängen, auf
Bahnsteigen und auf Baustellen.
• Halten Sie die Ohrpolster sauber. Waschen Sie die
Ohrpolster dazu mit einer milden Reinigungslösung.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor starken Stößen.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Wasser.
Befolgen Sie stets die folgenden Vorsichtsmaßnahmen.
– Lassen Sie das Gerät auf keinen Fall in ein Waschbecken
oder einen anderen mit Wasser gefüllten Behälter fallen.
– Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht an feuchten Orten oder
bei schlechten Witterungsbedingungen wie Regen oder
Schnee.
• Wenn Sie sich nach dem Verwenden des Geräts nicht wohl
fühlen, verwenden Sie das Gerät auf keinen Fall weiter.
• Bringen Sie die Ohrpolster fest an. Andernfalls könnte sich
ein Ohrpolster versehentlich lösen, im Ohr stecken bleiben
und Verletzungen verursachen.
• Kinder könnten Kleinteile wie die Ohrpolster verschlucken.
Halten Sie das Gerät daher von Kindern fern.
• Sollten an dem Gerät Probleme auftreten oder sollten Sie
Fragen haben, auf die in dieser Anleitung nicht
eingegangen wird, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren

Installeer het toestel niet in een krappe ruimte zoals een
boekenrek of ingebouwde kast.
Stel de batterijen (accu of geïnstalleerde batterijen) niet
langdurig bloot aan overmatige hitte zoals van de zon, vuur
en dergelijke.
Stel de batterijen niet bloot aan extreem lage temperaturen.
Deze kunnen namelijk oververhitting en thermische doorslag
veroorzaken.
Demonteer, open of vernietig accu's of batterijen niet.
Stel accu's of batterijen niet bloot aan hitte of vuur. Vermijd
opslag in direct zonlicht.
Als een accu zou lekken, laat de vloeistof dan niet in contact
komen met de huid of ogen. Als er contact heeft
plaatsgevonden, was de getroffen zone dan overvloedig met
water en roep medische hulp in.
Accu's en batterijen moeten worden opgeladen voor
gebruik. Raadpleeg altijd de instructies van de fabrikant of
de apparaathandleiding voor de juiste oplaadinstructies.
Na lange opslagperiodes kan het nodig zijn om de accu’s of
batterijen meerdere keren op te laden en te ontladen om
optimale prestaties te verkrijgen.

Verwijdering van oude batterijen,
elektrische en elektronische
apparaten (van toepassing in de
Europese Unie en andere landen
met afzonderlijke
inzamelingssystemen)
Dit symbool op het product, de batterij
of op de verpakking wijst erop dat het
product en de batterij, niet als huishoudelijk afval
behandeld mogen worden. Op sommige batterijen kan
dit symbool gebruikt worden in combinatie met een
chemisch symbool. Het chemisch symbool voor lood (Pb)
wordt toegevoegd wanneer de batterij meer dan 0,004%
lood bevat. Door deze producten en batterijen op juiste
wijze af te voeren, vermijdt u mogelijke negatieve
gevolgen voor mens en milieu die zijn gekoppeld aan
verkeerde afvalbehandeling. Het recyclen van materialen
draagt bij aan het behoud van natuurlijke bronnen.
In het geval dat de producten om redenen van veiligheid,
prestaties dan wel in verband met data-integriteit een
permanente verbinding met een ingebouwde batterij
vereisen, mag deze batterij enkel door gekwalificeerd
servicepersoneel worden vervangen. Om ervoor te zorgen
dat de batterij, elektrische en elektronische apparaten op
een juiste wijze zal worden behandeld, dienen deze
producten aan het eind van hun levenscyclus worden
ingeleverd bij het juiste inzamelingspunt voor het

Voorzorgsmaatregelen
Over BLUETOOTH®-communicatie
• De draadloze Bluetooth-technologie werkt binnen een
bereik van ongeveer 10 m. Het maximale bereik van de
communicatie kan variëren afhankelijk van obstakels
(personen, metalen, wanden enz.) of de
elektromagnetische omgeving.
• In de volgende omstandigheden kan de Bluetooth-
communicatie verstoord raken, kan er ruis hoorbaar zijn of
kan het geluid wegvallen.
– Er bevindt zich iemand tussen het toestel en het
Bluetooth-apparaat.
U kunt deze situatie verhelpen door het Bluetooth-
apparaat naar de antenne van het toestel te richten.
– Er bevindt zich een obstakel zoals een metalen voorwerp
of muur tussen het toestel en het Bluetooth-apparaat.
– Er is een Wi-Fi-apparaat of magnetron in gebruik of
microgolven worden uitgestraald in de buurt van dit
toestel.
– De antenne is ingebouwd in het toestel zoals
aangegeven met de stippellijn (afb. ).
U kunt de gevoeligheid van de Bluetooth-communicatie
verbeteren door eventuele obstakels tussen het
aangesloten Bluetooth-apparaat en de antenne van dit
toestel te verwijderen.
• Omdat Bluetooth-apparaten en Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n)
dezelfde frequentie gebruiken (2,4 GHz), kan er zich
microgolfinterferentie voordoen. Als dit toestel in de buurt
van een Wi-Fi-apparaat wordt gebruikt, kan dit ertoe
leiden dat er ruis hoorbaar is, het geluid wegvalt of de
communicatie verstoord raakt. Ga in dergelijke gevallen als
volgt te werk.
– Gebruik dit toestel op een afstand van minstens 10 m
van het Wi-Fi-apparaat.
– Als dit toestel op minder dan 10 m van een Wi-Fi-
apparaat wordt gebruikt, schakelt u het Wi-Fi-apparaat
uit.
– Installeer dit toestel en het Bluetoothapparaat zo dicht
mogelijk bij elkaar.
• Microgolven die worden uitgestraald door een
Bluetooth-apparaat kunnen de werking van elektronische
medische apparaten beïnvloeden. Schakel dit toestel en
andere Bluetooth-apparaten uit op de volgende plaatsen,
omdat dit ongelukken kan veroorzaken:
– in de buurt van ontvlambare gassen, in ziekenhuizen of
benzinestations
– in de buurt van automatische deuren of brandalarmen
• Vanwege de aard van draadloze technologie is het geluid
dat wordt afgespeeld op dit apparaat vertraagd ten
opzichte van het geluid en de muziek op het zendende
apparaat. Het is mogelijk dat hierdoor het beeld en het
geluid niet synchroon lopen bij het bekijken van een film
of het spelen van een game.
• Dit product produceert radiogolven wanneer het in de
draadloze modus wordt gebruikt.
Wanneer u het in de draadloze modus aan boord van een
vliegtuig gebruikt, dient u de instructies van het
boordpersoneel met betrekking tot het gebruik van
producten in de draadloze modus te volgen.
• Dit toestel ondersteunt veiligheidsvoorzieningen die
voldoen aan de Bluetooth-norm voor een beveiligde
verbinding wanneer de draadloze Bluetooth-technologie
wordt gebruikt, maar deze beveiliging zal afhankelijk van
de omstandigheden mogelijk niet voldoende zijn. Wees
voorzichtig wanneer u communiceert via de draadloze
Bluetooth-technologie.

• Wij kunnen niet garanderen dat er een verbinding tot
stand kan worden gebracht met alle Bluetooth-apparaten.
– Een apparaat met Bluetooth-functie moet voldoen aan
de Bluetooth-norm die opgesteld werd door Bluetooth
SIG, Inc. en moet geverifieerd zijn.
– Zelfs als het verbonden apparaat voldoet aan de
hierboven vermelde Bluetoothnorm, kan met sommige
apparaten mogelijk geen verbinding worden gemaakt of
functioneert het apparaat niet correct, afhankelijk van de
kenmerken of technische gegevens van het apparaat.
– Wanneer u handenvrij belt, kan er afhankelijk van het
apparaat of de communicatieomgeving ruis optreden.
• Afhankelijk van het apparaat waarmee de verbinding tot
stand wordt gebracht, kan het even duren voordat de
communicatie van start gaat.
Als het geluid regelmatig hapert tijdens het afspelen
• Het probleem kan mogelijk verholpen worden door de
geluidskwaliteitsstand in te stellen op “prioriteit voor
stabiele verbinding”. Raadpleeg de Helpgids voor meer
informatie.
• Het probleem kan mogelijk verholpen worden door op het
verzendende apparaat de instellingen voor de kwaliteit
van het draadloos afspelen te veranderen of de stand voor
het draadloos afspelen in te stellen op SBC. Raadpleeg
voor meer informatie de meegeleverde gebruiksaanwijzing
van het verzendende apparaat.
• Als u een smartphone gebruikt, kan het probleem mogelijk
verholpen worden door onnodige toepassingen te sluiten
of door de smartphone opnieuw op te starten.
Over het gebruik van bel-apps voor smartphones en
computers
• Met dit toestel kunt u enkel normale inkomende oproepen
ontvangen. Bel-apps voor smartphones en computers
worden niet ondersteund.
Het toestel opladen
• Dit toestel kan alleen opgeladen worden via USB. Voor het
opladen hebt u een pc met een USB-poort nodig.
• Tijdens het opladen kunt u dit toestel niet inschakelen en
kunt u evenmin de Bluetooth- en
geluidsonderdrukkingsfunctie gebruiken.
• Als u het toestel langdurig niet gebruikt, lukt het mogelijk
niet om de batterij tot de normale capaciteit op te laden.
Na de batterij verschillende keren na elkaar te hebben
opgeladen en geleegd, zult u deze opnieuw volledig
kunnen opladen.
• Als u het toestel ergens langdurig opbergt, dient u de
batterij minstens elke zes maanden op te laden om
overmatige ontlading te voorkomen.
• Als u het toestel beduidend minder lang kunt gebruiken,
moet u de oplaadbare batterij vervangen door een nieuwe.
Neem hiervoor contact op met uw dichtstbijzijnde
Sony-verdeler.
• Zorg ervoor dat de afdekking van de micro-USB-poort na
het laden zorgvuldig gesloten is (afb. ).
Opmerking over statische elektriciteit
• Door toenemende statische elektriciteit in uw lichaam kunt
u prikkelingen in uw oren voelen. Dit effect kan worden
beperkt door kleren te dragen die gemaakt zijn van
natuurlijke materialen.
Als het toestel niet correct werkt
• Reset het toestel (afb. ).
Druk tijdens het opladen tegelijk op de knoppen en –.
Het toestel wordt gereset. De koppelingsinformatie wordt
niet gewist.
• Als het probleem blijft aanhouden, zelfs na het toestel te
hebben gereset, initialiseert u het toestel als volgt.
Koppel de micro-USB-kabel los van de micro-USB-poort,
schakel het toestel uit en houd de knoppen en
langer dan 7 seconden tegelijk ingedrukt. De indicator
(blauw) knippert 4 keer en de fabrieksinstellingen van het
toestel worden hersteld. Alle koppelingsinformatie wordt
gewist.
• Na het initialiseren van het toestel kan het mogelijk geen
verbinding maken met uw iPhone of computer. Wis in dat
geval de koppelingsinformatie van de iPhone of computer
en voer vervolgens de koppelingsprocedure opnieuw uit.
Wat is geluidsonderdrukking?
• Het geluidsonderdrukkingscircuit registreert
omgevingsgeluiden via ingebouwde microfoons en
verzendt een signaal in tegenfase naar het toestel.
– In een erg stille omgeving is het effect van de
geluidsonderdrukking mogelijk niet erg uitgesproken of
hoort u mogelijk toch geluiden.
– Afhankelijk van de manier waarop u het toestel opzet,
kan het effect van de geluidsonderdrukking variëren of
kan er een pieptoon (gehuil) te horen zijn. Zet in dat
geval het toestel af en zet het vervolgens opnieuw op.
– De geluidsonderdrukkingsfunctie dempt vooral
omgevingsgeluiden met lage frequenties. De
omgevingsgeluiden worden verminderd, maar worden
niet volledig uitgeschakeld.
– Wanneer u het toestel gebruikt in een trein of auto, kan
er geluid hoorbaar zijn afhankelijk van de
buitenomgeving.
– Mobiele telefoons kunnen storing en geluiden
veroorzaken. Gebruik het toestel in dat geval uit de
buurt van eventuele mobiele telefoons.
– Bedek de microfoons van het toestel () niet met uw
handen. De geluidsonderdrukkingsfunctie of de
omgevingsgeluidmodus werkt mogelijk niet goed of er
kan een pieptoon (gehuil) te horen zijn. Laat in dat geval
de microfoons van het toestel los (afb. ).
Het toestel opzetten
• Verwijder na het gebruik de hoofdtelefoon voorzichtig uit
uw oren.
• De hoofdtelefoon heeft een zeer dichte omsluiting.
Wanneer u hem met kracht tegen uw oren duwt, kan het
trommelvlies beschadigd raken.
Wanneer u de hoofdtelefoon tegen uw oren duwt, kan het
membraan een klikgeluid produceren. Dit is geen defect.
Spatwaterbestendigheid van dit apparaat
De eigenschappen met betrekking tot splash proof van dit
apparaat zijn equivalent met IPX4 1) in IEC 60529
“Beschermingsgraden tegen het binnendringen van water
(IP-codering)”, die de beschermingsgraad tegen het
binnendringen van water specificeert.
(Zorg ervoor dat de afdekking van de micro-USB-poort
zorgvuldig gesloten is wanneer u het apparaat gebruikt.)
Het apparaat kan echter niet onder water worden gebruikt.
Als u het apparaat niet correct gebruikt, kan er water
binnendringen en brand, elektrische schokken of andere
storingen veroorzaken.
Neem de onderstaande voorzorgsmaatregelen altijd in
acht en gebruik het apparaat op een correcte manier.
1) IPX4 (beschermingsgraad tegen spatwater): aan alle
kanten spatwaterbestendig.
Vloeistoffen waarvoor de eigenschappen met
betrekking tot splash proof van toepassing zijn
Van toepassing: zoet water, kraanwater, zweet
Niet van toepassing: andere vloeistoffen dan de
bovenstaande (voorbeelden: zeepwater, water met
detergent of badproducten, shampoo, water van een
warmwaterbron, zwembadwater, zeewater enz.)
De spatwaterbestendigheid van dit apparaat is
gebaseerd op Sony-metingen in bovenvermelde
omstandigheden. Merk op dat defecten ten
gevolge van onderdompeling in water veroorzaakt
door de klant niet door de garantie zijn gedekt.
Om de spatwaterbestendigheid te behouden
Let voorzichtig op de volgende waarschuwingen en
gebruik het apparaat correct.
• Het deksel van de micro-USB-poort is belangrijk om de
spatwaterbestendigheid te behouden. Zorg ervoor dat
het deksel van de micro-USB-poort goed is gesloten
wanneer u het apparaat gebruikt. Als het deksel
vreemde voorwerpen bevat of niet volledig is gesloten,
kan de spatwaterbestendigheid niet worden behouden.
Daarnaast kan er water in het apparaat dringen en
defecten veroorzaken.
• Spat geen water met geweld tegen het cilindrische
gedeelte waar geluid uit komt. Als u dat doet,
vermindert dit de spatwaterbestendigheid van het
apparaat.
• Plaats het apparaat niet in water en gebruik het niet in
een vochtige plaats zoals een badkamer.
• Laat het apparaat niet vallen en stel het niet bloot aan
mechanische schokken. Als u dit doet kan het apparaat
vervormen of beschadigd raken, wat leidt tot een
verminderde spatwaterbestendigheid.
• Als er water op het apparaat komt, veegt u dit af met
een zachte droge doek. Als er water in de oordopjes
blijft, kan het geluid stil lijken of zelfs helemaal niet te
horen zijn. In dat geval moet u de oordopjes
verwijderen, de geluidsgeleider naar beneden richten en
deze een paar keer heen en weer schudden (afb. ).
• Laat geen water op het apparaat in koude plaatsen
omdat het water dan kan aanvriezen. Om defecten te
vermijden moet u ervoor zorgen dat u water afveegt na
gebruik.
• Als het apparaat gebarsten of vervormd is, mag u het
niet langer in de omgeving van water gebruiken of
neemt u contact op met een Sony-verdeler in uw buurt.
Overige
• Bewaar het toestel niet op een plaats waar het wordt
blootgesteld aan vocht, stof, roet of stoom, of in een
wagen of op een plaats die blootstaat aan rechtstreeks
zonlicht.
• Mogelijk zal het Bluetooth-apparaat, afhankelijk van de
omstandigheden van de radiogolven en de locatie waar
het apparaat wordt gebruikt, niet werken in combinatie
met mobiele telefoons.
• Een hoog volumeniveau kan uw gehoor beschadigen.
• Voor veiligheid in het verkeer mag u dit apparaat niet
gebruiken tijdens het autorijden of fietsen.
• Gebruik het toestel niet op plaatsen waar het gevaarlijk
kan zijn dat u de omgevingsgeluiden niet hoort, zoals aan
een spoorwegovergang, op een treinperron of op een
bouwwerf.
• Zorg ervoor dat de oordopjes proper blijven. Om de
oordopjes te reinigen, wast u deze met een mild
zeepsopje.
• Stel het toestel niet bloot aan zware schokken.
• Reinig het toestel met een zachte droge doek.
• Stel het toestel niet bloot aan water.
Volg altijd de onderstaande voorzorgsmaatregelen.
– Laat het toestel niet vallen in een gootsteen of een
ander voorwerp dat gevuld is met water.
– Gebruik het toestel niet op vochtige locaties of in slecht
weer, zoals bij regen of sneeuw.
• Als u ongemakken ervaart na het toestel te hebben
gebruikt, mag u het niet langer gebruiken.
• Bevestig de oordopjes stevig. Als een oordopje per
ongeluk loslaat en in uw oor achterblijft, kan dit letsels
veroorzaken.
• Aangezien kinderen kleine onderdelen zoals een oordopje
kunnen inslikken, moet u het toestel uit de buurt van
kinderen houden.
• Bij vragen of problemen met betrekking tot dit toestel die
niet in deze gids aan bod komen, kunt u contact opnemen
met een Sony-verdeler bij u in de buurt.
Lange hybride oordopjes uit siliconenrubber zijn
verbruiksartikelen. Als ze beschadigd zijn of als de
kwaliteit ervan afgenomen is, neemt u contact op met
een Sony-verdeler in uw buurt om ze te laten vervangen.
U kunt optionele gebogen ondersteuningen bij de

Precauzioni
Comunicazioni BLUETOOTH®
• La tecnologia wireless Bluetooth opera in un raggio di circa
10 m. Il raggio di comunicazione massimo può variare in
base alla presenza di ostacoli (persone, oggetti metallici,
pareti e così via) o all’ambiente elettromagnetico.
• Nelle seguenti circostanze, potrebbe essere disattivata la
comunicazione Bluetooth o potrebbero verificarsi rumori o
interruzione dell’audio.
– Una persona si frappone tra l’unità e il dispositivo
Bluetooth.
Questa situazione può essere migliorata collocando il
dispositivo Bluetooth di fronte all’antenna dell’unità.
– Un ostacolo, come un oggetto di metallo o una parete, si
frappone tra l’unità e il dispositivo Bluetooth.
– È in funzione un dispositivo Wi-Fi o un forno a
microonde, oppure vi è un emissione di microonde nei
pressi dell’unità.
– L’antenna è incorporata nell’unità, come illustrato dalla
linea tratteggiata (fig. ).
La sensibilità delle comunicazioni Bluetooth migliora
rimuovendo eventuali ostacoli interposti fra il dispositivo
Bluetooth collegato e l’antenna di questa unità.
• I dispositivi Bluetooth e Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n) utilizzano
la stessa frequenza (2,4 GHz), pertanto possono verificarsi

distanza dal dispositivo Wi-Fi, spegnere il dispositivo
Wi-Fi.
– Posizionare questa unità e il dispositivo Bluetooth il più
vicino possibile tra loro.
• Le microonde emesse da un dispositivo Bluetooth possono
influire negativamente sul funzionamento delle
apparecchiature mediche elettroniche. Spegnere l’unità e
altri dispositivi Bluetooth nei seguenti luoghi, per evitare
possibili incidenti:
– in presenza di gas infiammabili, all’interno di ospedali o
stazioni di rifornimento
– in prossimità di porte automatiche o allarmi antincendio.
• A causa delle caratteristiche della tecnologia senza fili,
l’audio riprodotto da questa unità presenta un ritardo
rispetto a quello riprodotto sul dispositivo di emissione.
Pertanto, l’immagine e il suono potrebbero non essere
allineati durante la riproduzione di un filmato o lo
svolgimento di un gioco.
• Quando utilizzato in modalità wireless, questo prodotto
emette onde radio.
Quando utilizzato in modalità wireless su un aereo, seguire
le istruzioni del personale di volo relativamente all’uso
consentito dei prodotti in modalità wireless.
• Questa unità supporta funzionalità di sicurezza conformi
allo standard Bluetooth per garantire una connessione
sicura quando è in uso la tecnologia wireless Bluetooth;

correttamente a seconda delle funzioni o delle
caratteristiche tecniche del dispositivo.
– Durante le comunicazioni telefoniche in vivavoce, a
seconda del dispositivo o dell’ambiente di
comunicazione è possibile che si verifichino disturbi.
• A seconda del dispositivo da connettere, l’avvio delle
comunicazioni potrebbe richiedere tempo.
Se il suono salta spesso durante la riproduzione
• La situazione può essere migliorata impostando la
modalità di qualità del suono su “priorità alla stabilità della

• La situazione può essere migliorata modificando le
impostazioni della qualità di riproduzione wireless o
impostando la modalità di riproduzione wireless SBC sul

• Se si utilizza uno smartphone, la situazione potrebbe
essere migliorata con lo spegnimento delle applicazioni
non necessarie o con il riavvio dello smartphone.
Uso delle app di chiamata per smartphone e
computer
• Questa unità supporta esclusivamente le normali chiamate
in arrivo. Le app di chiamata per smartphone e computer
non sono supportate.
Ricarica dell’unità
• Questa unità può essere ricaricata esclusivamente tramite
USB. Per la ricarica è necessario un personal computer
dotato di porta USB.
• Durante la ricarica non è possibile né accendere l’unità né
utilizzare le funzioni Bluetooth e di eliminazione del
rumore.
• Se l’unità rimane inutilizzata per lungo tempo, la batteria
ricaricabile potrebbe non essere in grado di mantenere
una carica sufficiente. La batteria sarà in grado di
mantenere correttamente la carica dopo aver eseguito
diversi cicli di scaricamento e ricarica.
• Se l’unità deve rimanere inutilizzata per lungo tempo, è
consigliabile ricaricare la batteria ogni sei mesi per evitare
che si scarichi eccessivamente.
• L’elettricità statica che si accumula nel corpo può causare
un lieve formicolio nelle orecchie. L’effetto può essere
ridotto al minimo indossando abiti realizzati in tessuti
naturali.
• Assicurarsi di chiudere correttamente il coperchio della
porta micro-USB dopo la ricarica (fig ).
Nota sull’elettricità statica
• L’elettricità statica accumulata nel corpo può provocare
una lieve sensazione di formicolio nelle orecchie.
Per ridurre questo effetto, indossare capi di abbigliamento
realizzati con materiali naturali.
Se l’unità non funziona correttamente
• Reimpostare l’unità (Fig. ).
Premere contemporaneamente i pulsanti e – durante la
ricarica. L’unità viene reimpostata. Le informazioni di
associazione non vengono eliminate.
• Se il problema persiste dopo avere eseguito l’operazione
di reimpostazione sopra indicata, procedere
all’inizializzazione dell’unità come indicato di seguito.
Scollegare il cavo micro USB dalla porta micro USB,
spegnere l’unità, quindi tenere premuti
contemporaneamente i pulsanti e per almeno 7
secondi. La spia (blu) lampeggia 4 volte e l’unità viene
reimpostata alle impostazioni di fabbrica. Tutte le
informazioni di associazione vengono eliminate.
• Una volta inizializzata l’unità, potrebbe non essere
possibile connetterla all’iPhone o al computer in uso. In
questo caso, eliminare le informazioni di associazione
all’unità dall’iPhone o dal computer, quindi eseguire
nuovamente la procedura di associazione.
Che cos’è l’eliminazione del rumore?
• Il circuito di eliminazione del rumore rileva realmente i
rumori esterni con dei microfoni incorporati, e invia un
segnale di eliminazione uguale e contrario all’unità.
– L’effetto dell’eliminazione del rumore potrebbe non
risultare marcato in un ambiente molto silenzioso,
oppure si potrebbe sentire del rumore.
– A seconda di come si indossa l’unità, l’effetto di
eliminazione del rumore potrebbe variare oppure
potrebbe percepirsi un segnale acustico (ululato). In tali
casi, spegnere l’unità e quindi riaccenderla.
– La funzione di eliminazione del rumore opera
principalmente sui rumori nella banda delle basse
frequenze. Anche se il rumore viene ridotto, non viene
eliminato completamente.
– Quando si utilizza l’unità in un treno o in un’auto,
potrebbe verificarsi del rumore, a seconda delle
condizioni della strada.
– I telefoni cellulari possono provocare delle interferenze e
del rumore. Qualora si verifichi questa eventualità,
allontanare ulteriormente l’unità dal telefono cellulare.
– Non coprire i microfoni dell’unità () con le mani. La
funzione di eliminazione del rumore o la Modalità suono
ambiente potrebbero non funzionare correttamente,
oppure potrebbe percepirsi un segnale acustico
(ululato). In tali casi, tenere le mani lontane dai microfoni
dell’unità (Fig. ).
Quando si indossa l’unità
• Dopo l’utilizzo, rimuovere le cuffie lentamente.
• Le cuffie presentano un rivestimento ad alta densità;
spingendole con forza eccessiva nelle orecchie si
potrebbero causare lesioni al timpano.
La pressione delle cuffie contro le orecchie può produrre
un suono di scatto della membrana. Questo fenomeno
non è indice di un problema di funzionamento.
Prestazioni a prova di spruzzi di questa unità
Le specifiche splash proof di questa unità sono equivalenti
al livello IPX4 1) della norma IEC 60529 “Livello di
protezione contro la penetrazione dannosa di acqua
(codice IP)”, che specifica il grado di protezione fornito
contro la penetrazione dell’acqua.
(Assicurarsi che il coperchio della porta micro-USB sia
chiuso correttamente quando si utilizza l’unità.)
Tuttavia, l’unità non può essere utilizzata in acqua. Se
l’unità non viene utilizzata correttamente, l’acqua può
penetrare al suo interno e causare incendi, folgorazioni o
malfunzionamenti.
Prestare attenzione alle avvertenze seguenti e utilizzare
correttamente l’unità.

La resistenza agli spruzzi dell’unità si basa su
misurazioni eseguite da Sony nelle condizioni
descritte in precedenza. Eventuali
malfunzionamenti a seguito di immersione in
acqua causata da uso improprio da parte del cliente
non sono coperti dalla garanzia.
Conservazione della resistenza agli spruzzi
Leggere attentamente le seguenti avvertenze e utilizzare
l’unità correttamente.
• Il coperchio della porta micro-USB è importante per
conservare la resistenza agli spruzzi. Quando si utilizza
l’unità, verificare che il coperchio della porta micro-USB
sia ben chiuso. Se sul coperchio sono presenti oggetti
estranei o se non è completamente chiuso, la resistenza
agli spruzzi non è efficace. L’acqua potrebbe inoltre
entrare nell’unità e causare malfunzionamenti.
• Non spruzzare acqua con forza verso la parte cilindrica
da cui viene emesso il suono. Ciò potrebbe
compromettere la resistenza agli spruzzi dell’unità.
• Non immergere l’unità in acqua e non usarla in luoghi
umidi, come un bagno.
• Non lasciar cadere l’unità né sottoporla a urti. In caso
contrario potrebbe deformarsi o danneggiarsi, con
conseguente deterioramento della resistenza agli
spruzzi.
• Asciugare con un panno morbido e asciutto l’acqua che
dovesse raggiungere l’unità. Se rimane dell’acqua nei
fori degli auricolari, il suono potrà risultare basso o non
udibile. In questo caso, rimuovere gli auricolari, rivolgere
il condotto sonoro verso il basso e scuoterlo un paio di
volte (Fig. ).
• Non lasciare acqua sull’unità in ambienti freddi, poiché
potrebbe gelare. Per evitare malfunzionamenti,
eliminare l’eventuale acqua dopo l’uso.
• Se l’unità presenta crepe o deformazioni, non utilizzarla
vicino all’acqua o contattare il rivenditore Sony più
vicino.
Altro
• Non collocare l’unità in ambienti esposti a umidità,
polvere, fuliggine, vapore o in un veicolo o luogo esposto
alla luce solare diretta.
• Il dispositivo Bluetooth potrebbe non essere utilizzabile
con i telefoni cellulari, a seconda delle condizioni delle
onde radio e del luogo in cui viene utilizzato l’apparecchio.
• L’ascolto ad alto volume può avere ripercussioni sull’udito.
• Per motivi di sicurezza stradale, non utilizzare durante la
guida o in bicicletta.
• Non utilizzare l’unità in ambienti in cui potrebbe essere
pericoloso non riuscire a sentire i rumori dell’ambiente, ad
esempio in prossimità dei passaggi a livello, sulle
piattaforme delle stazioni ferroviarie o nei pressi di cantieri
edili.
• Mantenere puliti gli auricolari. Per pulire gli auricolari,
lavarli con una soluzione detergente delicata.
• Non sottoporre l’unità a urti eccessivi.
• Pulire l’unità con un panno morbido e asciutto.
• Non esporre l’unità all’acqua.
Attenersi alle precauzioni riportate di seguito.
– Evitare di lasciar cadere l’unità in un lavandino o in un
altro contenitore pieno d’acqua.
– Non utilizzare l’unità in ambienti umidi o in caso di
cattivo tempo, ad esempio se piove o nevica.
• Interrompere immediatamente l’uso dell’unità se si
avverte qualsiasi genere di fastidio dopo l’uso.
• Installare in modo saldo gli auricolari. Se un auricolare si
stacca accidentalmente e rimane all’interno dell’orecchio,
potrebbero verificarsi ferite.
• Poiché i bambini potrebbero ingoiare piccole parti quali un
auricolare, tenere l’unità lontano dalla portata dei bambini.
• Per eventuali domande o problemi riguardanti l’unità non

Óvintézkedések
A BLUETOOTH®-kommunikáció
• A Bluetooth vezeték nélküli technológia körülbelül 10
méter sugarú körben működik. A maximális
kommunikációs tartomány az akadályoktól (emberi testtől,
fémtől, falaktól stb.) és az elektromágneses környezettől
függően változhat.
• A következő feltételek esetén fordulhat elő a Bluetooth-
kommunikáció megszűnése, illetve zajos vagy szakadozott
hangminőség.
– Egy emberi test van az egység és a Bluetooth-eszköz
között.
Ez a helyzet javítható, ha a Bluetootheszközt az egység
antennája felé fordítja.
– Az egység és a Bluetooth-eszköz között akadály, például
fém vagy fal található.
– Az egység közelében Wi-Fi-eszközt vagy mikrohullámú
sütőt használnak, illetve valamilyen készülék
mikrohullámokat bocsát ki.
– Az antenna a pontozott vonal által ábrázolt helyen van
beépítve az egységbe ( ábra).
A Bluetooth-kommunikáció érzékenysége javul, ha
minden akadályt eltávolít a csatlakoztatott
Bluetootheszköz és ennek az egységnek az antennája
közül.
• Mivel a Bluetooth eszközök és a Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n)
ugyanazt a frekvenciát használják (2,4 GHz), mikrohullámú
interferencia léphet fel, ami zajt, szakadozást vagy a
kommunikáció megszűnését okozhatja, ha ezt az egységet
egy Wi-Fi eszköz közelében használják. Ilyen esetben
tegye a következőket.
– Ezen egységet legalább 10 méter távolságra használja a
Wi-Fi eszköztől.
– Ha az egységet 10 méteres távolságon belül használja

Ha a hang gyakran megugrik a lejátszás során
• A helyzet javítható, ha a hangminőség üzemmód
beállításakor a „stabil kapcsolat elsőbbsége” lehetőséget

Okostelefonos vagy számítógépes
telefonalkalmazások használata
• Ez az egység csak a normál bejövő hívásokat támogatja.
Az okostelefonos vagy számítógépes telefonalkalmazások
nem támogatottak.
Az egység töltése
• Az egység kizárólag USB használatával tölthető. Egy
USB-csatlakozóval rendelkező személyi számítógép
szükséges a töltéshez.
• Az egység nem kapcsolható be, illetve az eszköz Bluetooth
és zajszűrő funkciói sem használhatók töltés közben.
• Ha hosszú ideig nem használja az egységet, előfordulhat,

Mi a zajszűrés?
