Component Function
1Lever • Used to remove excess Cable from a Steel
Cable Tie, after it has been tightened.
2Head • Used to hold a Steel Cable Tie during the
tightening process.
3Nose • Used to align the Steel Cable Tie through the
Head of the Cable Tie Tool.
4Grippers • Used to grip a Steel Cable Tie during the
tightening process.
5Handles • Used to tighten a Steel Cable Tie during the
tightening process.

Using the Cable Tie Tool
It is recommended that you put on a pair of Safety Gloves before handling the Steel
Cable Tie.
Metal Cable Tie Tool
1. Wrap a Steel Cable Tie around a set of cables.
2. Insert the end of the Steel Cable Tie through the Self Locking Head on the Steel
Cable Tie.
3. Pull the end of the Steel Cable Tie to tighten the Steel Cable Tie around the set of
cables.
4. Insert the end of the Steel Cable Tie through the side of the Head of the Cable Tie
Tool so that the Steel Cable Tie is in-between the Nose of the Cable Tie Tool and
feeds out the back of the Head of the Cable Tie Tool in-between the Grippers.

5. Push the Head of the Cable Tie Tool towards the Self Locking Head on the Steel
Cable Tie.
6. Squeeze the Cable Tie Tool’s Handles together, tightening the Steel Cable Tie
around the set of cables.
Note: You will have to squeeze the Cable Tie Tool’s Handles several times in order
to tighten the Steel Cable Tie around the set of cables.
7. When you have reached the maximum tension. Use the Lever to remove the excess
Steel Cable Tie.
Note: Be careful not to over-tighten the Steel Cable Tie, as you may damage the set
of cables.
