Preparing your site
1. Set up your local HDMI enabled video source in your desired
location.
2. Set up your remote HDMI display in your desired location.
Notes:
• Ensure the transmitter is situated near a USB power source.
• Ensure the receiver is situated near an AC outlet.
• Ensure all devices are turned o before you begin the
installation.

About this product
HDBaseT is a standardized, zero-latency video distribution
technology that’s revolutionizing HDMI distribution. HDBaseT uses
an advanced method of modulation that enables you to distribute
uncompressed HDMI audio and video over standard network
cabling. This extender kit turns your HDMI signal into an HDBaseT
signal, which enables you to extend your source signal to the
HDBaseT receiver up to 70 m away.

This product is backed by a two year warranty.
StarTech.com warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for the periods noted, following the initial date of purchase. During this period, the products may be returned for
repair, or replacement with equivalent products at our discretion. The warranty covers parts and labor costs only. StarTech.com does not warrant its products from defects or damages arising from
misuse, abuse, alteration, or normal wear and tear.

Hardware installation
1. Position the transmitter near the video source.
2. Connect the HDMI input on the transmitter to the HDMI output on
your video source.
3. Connect the included USB cable to the Micro-USB port on the
transmitter and to a nearby USB power source.
4. Connect a CAT5e or CAT6 cable (not included) to the RJ-45 output
on the transmitter and to the RJ-45 input on the receiver.
Note: This needs to be a direct connection. Do not route the cable
through any networking equipment.
5. Connect an HDMI cable (not included) to the HDMI output on the
receiver and to the HDMI input on your display.
6. Connect the included power adapter from the power adapter port
on the receiver and to an AC outlet.
7. Power up your display, followed by your video source. The image
from your video source will now appear on your remote display.
Note: The resolution performance of this extender will vary
depending on the length of your cabling. Please review the chart
below to determine the best solution for your setup. For best
results, StarTech.com recommends using shielded CAT6 cable.

The receiver has a two-color LED indicator that can be used to
notify you of the video status. Please review the table below to
interpret the LED activity on the receiver.
