ON PLACEMENT
• Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot, cold, dusty, or humid.
• Placetheunitonaatandevensurface.
• Donotrestricttheairowoftheunitbyplacingitinaplacewithpoorairow,bycoveringitwithacloth,orby
placingitonacarpet.
ON SAFETY
• WhenconnectinganddisconnectingtheACcord,griptheplugandnotthecorditself.Pullingthecordmay

• Whenyouarenotgoingtousetheunitforalongperiodoftime,disconnecttheACpowercord.
ON AC VOLTAGE

ON CONDENSATION
• When left in a heated room where it is warm and damp, water droplets or condensation may form inside the
CD player.
• When there is condensation inside the unit, the unit may not function normally.
• Letitstandfor1to2hoursbeforeturningthepoweron,orgraduallyheattheroomupanddrytheunitbeforeuse.
* Ensureaminimumdistanceof5cmaroundtheapparatusforsufcientventilation.
* Ensurethattheventilationisnotimpededbycoveringtheventilationopeningswithitems,suchasnewspapers,

Press the POWER button to turn the audio on.
TochangetheaudiomodebetweenRADIO,AUX,TAPEandCD,
press the FUNCTION button while the power is on.
The audio mode is displayed.
TurnofftheunitbypressingthePOWERbutton.
" OFF " word will be shown on the display
and then resume the current time.

USING HOUSE CURRENT
Beforeuse,checkthattheratedvoltageofyourunit
matchesyourlocalvoltage.
Note:Plugisusedasthedisconnectdevice.
The disconnect device shall remain readily
operable.
USING BATTERIES
Disconnect the AC power cord
from the AC inlet of the unit.
Battery power is cut
automatically by the cord
while it is connected.
Insert six UM-2
(sizeC)batteries.

replace all of the batteries with new ones.

Unit will be automatically off after 4.5 hours without further operation.

TO SKIP TO THE BEGINNING OF A TRACK
• Presseitheroneoftheskipbuttonsaccordingtothedesiredskipdirection.
• Play/back resumes from the selected track.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,theprevioustrackstartsagain.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,thenexttrackplays.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE WITHIN A TRACK
• Keeptheorbuttonpressedduringplayback,
andreleasethebuttonassoonasyourecognisethedesired
passage.ThennormalCDplaybackwillresumefromthispoint.
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press the STOP button and the display shows the total
tracks of the disc.
TO INTERRUPT PLAYBACK
Press the Play/ Pause button and the symbol " "
willbeashed.Pressthebuttonagaintoresume
playback.
1 . Turn on the unit by
pressingthePOWERbutton.
6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
Track number "01" & the symbol " " will be
shown.
Unit will be automatically off after 30mins without furtheroperation(instopmode/CDdooropen).

PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK

Programmedplaybackenablestracksonadisctobeplayed
inthedesiredorder.Upto20trackscanbeprogrammed.
1. Press the " PROGRAM " button.
2. Press the " NEXT " and " BACK " buttons to select the
desired track number.
3. Pressthe "PROGRAM" buttonagainto memorize
the track.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired tracks are
programmed.
5. Press the " PLAY/PAUSE " button to start.
" " , " PROG " & track number are shown on
the CD display.
6. Pressthe"STOP"buttononcetostopprogrammed
playback.
7. Press the " PLAY/PAUSE " button to resume
programmedplayback.
8. Open the CD door, turn off the CD player or press the
"STOP"buttontwicetocleartheprogrammed
memory.
Note: Programmingcanonlybemadewhentheplayer
is in stop mode.

- Becauseofnon-standardizedformatdenition/productionofCD-R/RW,playbackqualityandperformancearenot
guaranteed.
- ManufacturerisnotresponsiblefortheplayabilityofCD-R/RWduetorecordingconditions,suchasPCperformance,
writingsoftware,mediaability,etc.
- Do not attach a seal or label to either side of the CD-R/RW disc. It may cause a malfunction.
- ItisrecommendedtorecordonlyaudiolesonCD-R/RWdiscsforeasyreading.

IftheCDskipsorwillnotplay,thediscmayneedcleaning
.Beforeplaying,wipethediscfromthecentreoutwitha
cleaningcloth.Afterplaying,storethediscinitscase.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING THE CD LENS
If the CD lens is dusty, clean it with a brush-blower. Blow
several times on the lens and remove the dust with the
brush.Fingerprintsmaybe removedwith acottonswab
moistened with alcohol.
CLEANING THE UNIT
Donotusevolatilechemicalsonthisunit.Cleanbylightly
wipingwithasoftcloth.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Ifanabnormaldisplayindicationoranoperatingproblem
occurs, disconnect the AC power cord and remove the
batteries. Wait at least 5 seconds, then reconnect the AC
power cord or reinstall the batteries.
WARNING
ShouldtheCDdoorbeopenedbeforethereadingoftheCD
iscompleted,ajammingnoisemayoccur.Thisisresolved
byclosingtheCDdoor.

Press the STOP / EJECT button.

USE ONLY NORMAL ( TYPE I ) TAPE FOR RECORDING.
1 . Insert the cassette tape.
