SSB-557, SSM-557, SLB-557 and SLM-557 Interface Brackets
SSB-557, SSM-557, SLB-557 and SLM-557 Interface Brackets are designed for use with Chief® Series Projector Mounts. See the specific
installation instructions provided with the mount for additional installation information.
Unpack carton and verify kit conten ts. If any listed parts are missing, immediately contact a Ch ief Customer Service representative.
WARNING: IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN LEAD TO EQUIPMENT FALLING CAUSING SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY AND
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! DO NOT substitute hardware. Use only hardware supplied by manufacturer!
Installation Instructions
WARNING: OVER TIGHTENING OF SCREWS CAN DAMAGE PARTS AND CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY AND
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! DO NOT over tighten screws when installing interface bracket.
NOTE: Step 1 is only required when installing an SLB/SSB interface bracket. If an SLM/SSM bracket is being installed, proceed to step 2.
1. Screw thumb screws onto 10-24 x 5/8" Phillips pan head screws. DO NOT fully tighten thumb screws at this time.
2. Turn projector upside down on a flat surface.
3. Raise the front adjustable feet and place interface bracket onto projector.
4. Ensure the f ront slots a re around the adjustabl e feet and the rear holes i n the bracket are aligned with t he inserts i n the rear of the projector .
5. Install the two M4 screws in the rear holes and tighten. Lower and fit the two front adjustable feet against the plate.
6. Attach the U-Form bracket around the projector and up through the holes in the bracket plate.
7. Using the two #10 flat washers and 10-24 Nylock nuts, secure interface bracket to projector and tighten all fasteners at this time.
NOTE: Felt squares are provided to protect projector shell, if desired. They can be attached to the projector or wrapped around
the U-For m ro d. Secur i ty scr ews c an be substituted when mounting inter fac e bracket to project or by using the parts and
installation instructions in the All-Points Security Kit.
