Safety information
At time of delivery
Check packaging and dishwasher immediately for signs of transport damage. If the appliance is
damaged, do not put it into use but contact your supplier or customer service without delay.
Please dispose of packaging materials properly.
The dishwasher must only be used by adults for the washi ng of household dishes and cooking utensils.
This appliance cannot be installed outdoor, not even if the ar ea in which it is installed is covered by a
roof; it is also very dangerous to leave it exposed to the rain and elements.
Do not plac e any heav y objects or stand on the door when it is open. The appliance co uld tip f orwar d.
The water inside the dishwasher is not suitable for drinking.
Do not use solvents of any kind inside your dishwasher. They could cause an explosion danger.
Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher is operating. There is a risk of wat er squirting out.
During normal use
Do not touch the heating element during or after a wash cycle.
Fundamental rules to follow when using the appliance:
- Never touch the dishwasher when barefoot or with wet hands or feet;
- We discourage the use of extension cords and multiple sockets;
- If the a pp lian c e i s no t operatin g properly or m aintena nc e m us t b e perf o r m ed, dis c onn ec t t he
appliance from the power supply.
Site the dishwasher and connect it up in accordance with t he installat ion instructions.
The dishwasher must not be connected to the electricity supply while installation is being ca rr ied out.
Ensure that t he domestic wiring is properly earthed.
The mains electricity supp ly must conform to t he details shown on the dishwasher nameplate.
Do not connect the dishwasher to the electricity supply via an extension cable.
Built-under and built-in appliance s sh ould always be installed under a continuous work su rface whic h
is attached to the adjacent cupboards, in order to ensure t hat the appliance is entirely stable.
After the appliance has been installed,the mains plug should still be easily accessible.
During installation, the power supply cord must not be excessively or dangerously bent or flatt ened.

If yo ur family in clud es childre n
The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.
Young children should be supervised t o ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Keep detergent s out of the reach of children, who must also be kept away from the dishwasher when
it is open.
If a fault occurs
If the appliance m alfunctio ns, turn off wa ter supply to the appliance and disconnect the plug fr om the
wall socket. T hen, consult t he section entitled, "Fault finding" . If you cannot solve the proble m, con-
tact a service cen ter.
Only specialised personnel are authorised to make repairs.
If t he supply cord is damaged, it mus t be replace d by the man ufacture, it s service agent of simil arly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
To maintain the EFFICIENCY and SAFETY of this appliance,we recommend:
- call only the Service Centers authorized by the manufacturer.
- always us e original Spare Parts.
When disposing of old appliances
Applianc es whic h are no longer being u s ed m us t be m ade inoperable by c ut ting the po wer s upply
cord and remo ving the door lock.
Take the appliance to a designated waste disposal center.
Warning
Children could get locked in the appliance (risk of suffocation)
or get stuck in other positions. Therefore: Remove the mains
plug, cut the mains wire and set aside. Damage the door lock so
that the door can no longer be closed.

Positioning the appliance
Positioning the applianc e in the desired location. T h e bac k sh ould r est against the wall behind it, and the
side s, along the adja cent c abi net s or wall. T he d ish wash er is equ ipp ed wi th w ater supp ly an d dr ain
hoses that can be positioned to the right or the left to facilitate proper installation.
Levelling the appliance
Onc e the app lia nce is po sit ioned , adj ust the f eet ( sc rewing th em in or out ) to adj ust t he dis hwas her,
making it level . In any ca se , the appliance should not be inc lined more t han 2 ˚. If the appli ance is level, it
will help ensure proper performanc e.

Cold wat er connectio n
Conne ct the wat er s u pp l y hose t o a threaded 3/ 4 (g a s) co n nector,
making sure that it is fastened tightly in place (see fig. A).
Som e model s ar e fitted w ith a n "Aqu astop" wate r s upply ho se
(see fig.B) in which the small filter is already housed in the
threaded end.
If the water pipes a re new or hav e not been us ed for an extended
period of tim e, let the wa ter run to m ake sur e that the wat er is
clear and free of impurities . I f this precaution is not t aken, there
is a risk that the water inlet can get blocked and damage the
appliance.
Anti-Flooding protection
The dishwasher is equipped with a system that stops the supply of water in the event of a problem with the water
supply hose, or leaks within the unit, in order to prevent damage to your home. If for any reason the box
contai ning th e el ectric al com ponen ts happ ens to get dam aged, remove the plu g for th e appli ance from th e
socket immediately. In order to guarantee that the anti-flooding feature operates properly, the "A" box with water
supply hose must be attached to the water supply tap as shown in fig.B. No other type of con nection is acceptable.
The water supply hose must not, under any circumstances, be cut, as it contains electrical parts which are live.
If the length of the hose is not adequate to make a p roper connection, the hose must be replaced with one which
is long enough. This hose is available upon request from specialised retailers and service center.

Electrica l Co nn ect ion
After making sur e that the voltage and fr equency va lues for the current in the home corr es pond to those
on the rating pl ate ( locate d on t he stainl ess steel inne r door of the ap plianc e) and that the elect rical
system is corr ec t f or the max imum v oltage on the r ating plate, inse rt t he p lug int o an electric al soc ket
which is earthed proper ly (the earthing of the appliance is a safety requirement mandated by law).
If the electr ical so cket to which the appliance must be connected is not appropr iate for the plug, replace
the whole cable, rather than using adaptors or the like as they could cause overheating and burns.
Caution:
The dishwasher plug must be accessible even when the appliance
is installed as a built-in unit so that maintenance can be done safely.
Drain h o se connect io n
Insert the dr ain hose into a drain pipe with a minim um diameter of 4cm , or let it r un into the s ink, m aki ng
sure to avoid bending or crimping it. If necessary, fit a syphon trap (U-bend) with a connecting piece for
the dr ain hose (fig .C). T h e free end of t he ho s e must be a t a height between 40 and 100 cm and m us t not
be immersed in wat er.
Attention:
The connecting piece for syphon trap (U-bend) must be solidly fas-
tened to the wall to prevent the drain hose from moving and allow-
ing water to spill outside the drain.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (UK ONLY)
For your safety please read the following inf ormation.
Warni ng: This appliance must be earthed.
The applianc e m ust be co nnected to a 220-240 vo lts 50 cy cle AC su pply by means of a thr ee pin s oc ke t,
suitably earthed and should be protected by a 13 am p fuse in the plug or a 15 amp fuse in the consumer
unit.
The appliance is supplied with a moulded 13 amp 3 pin mains plug fitted with a 13 amp fuse. Should the
fuse require replac ement, it must be replaced with a fuse rated at 13 amp and approved to BS1362.
The plug contains a r em ova ble fuse co ve r that mus t be refit ted when the fuse is r eplac ed. In the ev ent of
the fus e cov er being lost or damaged , the plug m ust not be used unti l a replac ement c over has been
obtained.
If t he m oul ded mains plug i s uns uit abl e f or the soc k et outlet in your hom e or is r em ov ed for any ot he r
reason, then the fuse should be remove d and the cut off plug disposed of safely to prevent the hazard of
electric shock.
There is a danger of electric shock if t he cut off plug is inserted into any 13 amp socket outlet .
Caution:
The dishwasher plug must be ac cessible even when t he appliance is ins talled as a bu ilt -in unit so that
maintence can be done safety.

Salt
The hardness of t he water v aries f rom place to plac e. I f hard water is use d in the dishw asher , deposits
will form on the dishes and utensils.
The appliance is equipped with a special softener that uses a salt specifically designed to eliminate lime
and minerals from the wat er.
How to fill the salt
Loading the salt into the container
Always use salt intended for use with dishwashers.
The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows:
Adjusting salt consumption
The dis hwas her is designed to allow for adjusting the amount of s alt consumed based on the hardness of
the w at er us ed. T h is is int e nded to o pt im iz e and cus t om iz e the level of s alt c ons um pt ion s o t hat it r e-
main s at a min imu m.
To adjust salt consumption, proceed as follows:
It is recommended that adjustments be made in accordance wit h the f ollowing table:
When the low salt indicator “1” lights , you must fill the salt .
Remov e t he lo wer r ac k and t hen uns crew and r em ov e t he c ap
from the salt container;
If you are filling the container for the first t ime, fill it with water;
Place the end of the funnel ( s upplied) into the hole and int r oduc e
about 2 kg of salt. It is normal for a small amount of water to
come out of the salt container.
Carefully screw the cap back on.

Important
To prevent the formation of rust, load the salt just before beginning a wash cycle.
Unscrew the cap from the salt container;
There is a ring on the cont ainer with an arrow on it (see figure to
the side).
If necessary, rotate the ring in an anticlockwise direct ion from the
"-" sett ing towar ds t he "+" s ign, based on t he har dnes s of the
water being used.

Rinse aid
This product makes dishes sparkle and helps them to dry without
spotting. The dispenser is loc ated on the inside panel of the door .
Loading the rinse aid
Regardless of the type of detergent dispenser installed on your
appliance, y ou mus t proc eed as indi cated below when loading t he rins e
aid.
To open the dispenser, turn the " 2" cap in an anti- clockwise direction
and then pour in the rinse aid, making sure not to overfill . The amount
of rinse aid used for each cycle can be re gulated by turning the " 3"
dose adjustor, locat ed beneath the "2" cap, wit h a screwdriver. Ther e
are 6 different settings; the normal dosage setting is 3.
How to fill rinse aid
When the low rinse aid indica tor “H” lights, you must load rinse aid .
How to fill the detergent dispenser

Important
Proper dosage of th e rinse ai d improves drying. If d rops of water remain on the dishes or spot-
ting occurs, the dosage adjustor should be turned to a higher setting. If the dishes have white
streaks, tu r n th e d o sage adj u sto r to a lower settin g .
Detergent
Detergent specific ally int ended for u s e with dishwashers must be used.
The d ispenser must be refilled bef ore t he start of each wash cycle
following the inst ructions provided in the "P rogramme overview". The
det ergent dispenser is locat ed on the inside panel of the door.
Loading the detergent
To open the " 4 " cover on the dispenser, press the "5" butt on.
The detergent for the wash cycle should be pour ed into the " 6 "
compartment.
The detergent for the pre-wash cycle should be poured int o t he
“ 7 ” compartment.
After the detergent has been placed in the dispenser, close the
cover and press down until it clicks in place.
Notice:
To faci litate closi ng the cover, remove any excess detergen t on the ed ges o f the dispen ser.

opa que in appea ranc e af ter the y hav e been wa shed many t imes in a di shwa sher . Highl y abs orb ent
materials, such as sponges and towels,should never be placed in the dishwasher.
Our recommendation
In future, only purchase table or kitchenware that has been confirmed as being dishwasher-proof .
Important
Dishes or cutlery that have been soiled by tobacco ash, wax,
Iubricating grease or paint, should not be put in the dishwasher.

detergent manufacturers.
Select a programme with a low temperature and a short duration as possible.
To prevent damage, take glass and cutlery out of the dishwasher as soon as possible after the
programme has ended.

Arranging crockery, glasses, etc. in the dishwasher

coming clogged, which results in reduced performance.
If the pots and pans have baked-on food that is extremely hard to remove, we recommend that they are
soaked before washed. This will eliminate the need for extra wash cycles .
Pull out the rack to load the dishwasher.
How to use the lower rack
We recommend that you place the most diff icult to clean items
on the bott om rack: pots, pans, lids, serving dishes and bowls,
as shown in the figure to the right.
It is preferable to place serving dishes and lids on the sides of
the racks in order t o avoid blocking the rot at ion of the top spray
arm.
Pots, serving bowls, etc. must al ways be placed face down
(see fig.D) .

knives and other utensils with sharp points must be loaded in the
basket with their points down or placed in a horizontal position.
The silverware basket can not be doubled (see fig.E).

bowls and shallow pans (as long as t hey are not too dirty).

the bottom basket.
Position the dishes and cookware so that they do not get
moved by the spray of water.

located on both sides of the rack it self (see fig.F ).

The knife rack clips onto the side of the t op basket, giving you
the fr eedo m t o was h your la rge s har p kniv es sep arat ely and

well as the amount and condition of food r emains, with the details contained in t he wash cycl e table.The

The stated programme data are based on standard operating conditions. The values can vary consider-

Turn on the tap.
Close the door after loading the appliance.
Set On-Off button to On. The state indicator "A" light.
Rotate t h e k nob to s elec t pr ogr amme y ou wis h, the tim e-
remaining indicator display the time of the programme you
selected. Af t er 3 seconds the appliance emits a short warn-
ing signal, and start the progr am m e ,the state indicator "A"
blinks .
Warning
When the dishwasher power on, the programme which the knob indicated
can not be carried out, you must Rotate the knob to another programme
and then back to it.

End of programme
Six beeps will indicate that the wash cycle has finished and the state indicators "A" light.
Switching the dishwasher OFF
Several minutes aft er the programme has ended:
Set On-Off button to Off
Open the door .
Turn the water tap off.
Remove dishes, etc. when they have cooled down.
Interrupping the programme
Open the door. Caution! There is a risk of water squirting out from inside the appliance. Do not open
the door fully until spray arm has stopped rotat ing.
When you open the door, the dishwasher will beep ten times every thirty seconds.
If the applianc e has alr eady heated up or the hot water was switched ON and then the appliance door
opened, leav e the door ajar f or sever al mi nutes and t hen clos e. O therwis e, t he applian ce doo r ma y
open due to expansion.

You can delay the start of a programme in increments of 1 hour up to 24 hours.

Switch dishwasher ON.
Immediat ely press the Delayed S tart but ton “ F ”, t he delayed star t indicator “ E ” blinks, the remain-
ing time ind icat or “ G ” changes to “ ”.
Press the Delayed Start button for 2 seconds until the numerical display show the required delay.
To cancel the time delay setting, pressing the Delayed Start button until the delayed start indicator
“ E” goes out.
Rotate progr am m e kn ob “ J ” to select the desired pr ogr am m e.

Close the door after loading the appliance.
Notice:
When the app liance i s alread y underway p ress the bu tton " B" for 3 seco nds, all
of the settings will be cancelled.

After 3 seco nds the d elayed start indicator “ E ” blinks, the t ime-rem aining indicator “ G ” will blink and
decrease , the program m e will s tart until the delay ed start indica tor “ G ” goes out .
3in1 function
When using "3 in 1"combination products, the rinse-aid and salt lights are no longer useful. I t may be
helpful to select the lowest possible setting f or water hardness.
If you decide to switch to the use of a standard detergent system we advise that you:
1: Refill both the salt and rinse aid compartments.
2: Switch the water hardness setting to the highest possible position and run for three normal cycles
without a load.
3: Read just t he water hardne ss s etting ag ain ac cording t o the c onditio ns for your regio n (F or more
information please refer to your instruct ion manual).
Rese t drain fun ction
You can us e Res et drain func tion t o stop th e wash ing cyc le un der r unning by Rot ating t he k nob t o
"Reset ", and the appliance will stop after a few minutes drain phase.
Warning
Do not place the tablets in the tub or the cutlery basket as this will result in
poorer wash results. The tablets should be placed in the detergent doser.
Cancelling or modifying a cycle
A cycle that is und erway can be modif ied if it has only been runnin g for a short time. O therwise, the
deter gent may have already been used, and the appliance may hav e alr eady dr ained the wash water.
If this is the cas e, the detergent dispens er m ust be ref illed ( s ee the paragraph entitled, “ Loading the
detergent ”) .
To modify a cycle that is already underway, follow the instructions contained in the paragraph entitled
"Reset dr ain f unc tion", an d s elec t the programme y ou wis h ( s ee t he par agr aph ent itled, "S wit c hing
the dishwasher ON").

How to keep your dishwasher in shape
Aft er Every Wash
Af ter every wash, turn off t he water supply t he appli ance and leav e the door s lig htly ajar s o that moisture
and odors are not trapped inside.
Remo ve t he plug
Before cleaning or performing maintenance, always remove the plug from the socket. Do not run risks.
No so lven ts or Ab rasive Cleanin g Produ cts
To c lean the exte rior and rubb er pa rt s of th e d ishw ash er, do not use solve nts or abra sive c lean in g
products. Rather, use only a cloth and warm soapy water.
To remove spots or stains from the surface of the interior, use a cloth dampened with water and a litt le
while vinegar, or cleaning product made specifically for dishwashers.
Moving the Appliance
If t he a ppliance m us t be moved, tr y t o k eep i t in a v er t ic al po s it ion. If a bs olut ely n ec es s ar y, it c an be
positioned on its back.
Seals
One of the factors that cause odors to form in the dishwasher is food that remains trapped in the seals.
Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge will prevent this from occurring.
The door should not be left in the open position since this could present a tripping hazard.
When You Go on Holiday
When you go on holiday, it is recommended that you run a wash cycle with the dishwasher empty and
then rem ove the plu g from the soc ket, turn of f the wate r s upply and l eave the door of the appl ianc e
slightly ajar. This will help the seals last longer and prevent odors from forming within t he appliance.

Check the LOW SALT indicator “ G” .Top up with salt, if
required.

Top up with rinse-aid,if required.
Filters
The filter s “ 8”, “ 9” prevent larger particles of food in t he wa-

Measure s must be taken to ensure that built-under and built-in units that are subsequently re-sited
as free-standing appliances cannot topple over. This can be achieved by bolting the dishwasher to
