On safety
The nameplate and important information concerning safety are located on the rear exterior of
the main unit and on the surface of the AC adaptor.
Before operating the system, be sure that the operating voltage of the system is identical with
that of your local power supply.

Notes on the AC adaptor
Use only the supplied AC adaptor. To avoid damaging the system, do not use any other AC
adaptor.
Polarity of the plug
On placement
Do not set the speaker in an inclined position.
Do not leave the system in a location near heat sources, or in a place subject to direct sunlight,
excessive dust, or mechanical shock.
Do not use or leave the system in a car.
Do not use the system in a sauna.
On cleaning
Do not use alcohol, benzine, or thinner to clean the cabinet.
Others
When using the Speaker Add or Wireless Party Chain function, the codec is changed to SBC.
At high temperature, the charging may stop or the volume may reduce to protect the battery.
Even if you do not intend to use the system for a long time, charge the battery to its full capacity
once every 6 months to maintain its performance.

Notes on water resistant feature
(Read before using the system)
Water resistant performance of the system
This system has a water resistant specification*1,*2 of IPX5*3 as specified in “Degrees of protection
against ingress of water” of the IEC60529 “Ingress Protection Rating (IP Code).” However, this
system is not completely water-tight.
Do not drop the system into hot water in a bathtub or purposely use it in water.

Not applicable : liquids other than the above (soapy water, water with detergent or
bath agents, shampoo, hot spring water, pool water, seawater, etc.)

The water resistant performance of the system is based on our measurements under the
conditions herein described. Note that malfunctions as a result of water immersion caused by
misuse by the customer are not covered by the warranty.
To avoid the deterioration of the water resistant performance
Check the following and use the system correctly.
Do not use or leave the system in an extremely hot or cold environment (temperature outside the
range of 5 °C – 35 °C). If the system is used or left in outside the above range, the system may
automatically stop to protect internal circuitry.
Be careful not to drop the system or subject it to mechanical shock. Deformation or damage may
cause deterioration of the water resistant performance.
Do not use the system in a location where large amount of water or hot water may splash on it.
The system does not have a design that is resistant to water pressure. Use of the system in the
above location may cause a malfunction.
Do not pour high-temperature water or blow hot air from a hair dryer or any other appliance on
the system directly. Also, never use the system in high temperature locations such as in saunas or
near a stove.
Handle the cap with care. The cap plays a very important role in maintenance of the water
resistant performance. When using the system, make sure that the cap is closed completely.
When closing the cap, be careful not to allow foreign objects inside. If the cap is not closed
completely the water resistant performance may deteriorate and may cause a malfunction of the
system as a result of water entering the system.

How to care for the system when wet
If the system gets wet, first remove the water from the system, and then wipe off the moisture on
the system using a soft, dry cloth. Especially in cold regions, leaving moisture on its surface may
cause the system to freeze and malfunction. Be sure to wipe off the moisture after using the
system.
Put the system on towel or dry cloth. Then leave it at room temperature and dry the system until no
moisture remains.

Resistencia al agua del sistema
Este sistema dispone de una especificación de resistencia al agua*1,*2 conforme con la norma

“Nivel de protección contra la penetración (Código IP)”. No obstante, este sistema no es totalmente
estanco.
No deje caer el sistema en agua caliente en una bañera o lo utilice intencionadamente en el agua.

No se aplican a: líquidos diferentes a los mencionados anteriormente (agua

La resistencia al agua del sistema se basa en nuestras mediciones, realizadas en las condiciones

Para evitar el deterioro de la resistencia al agua
Compruebe lo siguiente y utilice el sistema correctamente.
No utilice ni deje el sistema en entornos muy cálidos o fríos (temperaturas fuera del intervalo de
5°C a 35°C). Si se utiliza el sistema o se deja en el exterior fuera del intervalo anteriormente
indicado, es posible que el sistema deje de proteger el circuito interno de manera automática.
Tenga cuidado de no dejar que el sistema se caiga o someterlo a golpes mecánicos. La
deformación o los daños pueden causar el deterioro de la resistencia al agua.
No utilice el sistema en una ubicación en la que se pueda salpicar una gran cantidad de agua o
agua caliente. El sistema no tiene un diseño resistente a la presión del agua. Utilizar el sistema en
las ubicaciones indicadas anteriormente puede provocar un fallo de funcionamiento.
No vierta agua a alta temperatura o eche aire caliente de un secador de pelo o cualquier otro
aparato en el sistema directamente. Asimismo, nunca utilice el sistema en lugares a altas
temperaturas como saunas o cerca de un fogón.
Maneje la tapa con cuidado. La tapa desempeña un papel importante en el mantenimiento de la
resistencia al agua. Cuando utilice el sistema, asegúrese de que la tapa está completamente
cerrada. Cuando cierre la tapa, tenga cuidado de no dejar que entren objetos extraños. Si la tapa
no se cierra correctamente, la resistencia al agua se puede deteriorar y podría causar un fallo de
funcionamiento del sistema a consecuencia de la entrada de agua en el sistema.

Cómo cuidar del sistema si se moja
Si el sistema se moja, extraiga el agua del sistema en primer lugar y, a continuación, elimine la
humedad del sistema con un paño suave y seco. Especialmente en regiones frías, dejar humedad
en la superficie puede causar que el sistema se congele y un funcionamiento incorrecto. Asegúrese
de eliminar la humedad después de utilizar el sistema.
Coloque el sistema sobre una toalla o paño seco. Después déjelo a temperatura ambiente y seque
el sistema hasta que no quede humedad en él.

Pour éviter la détérioration de la résistance à l’eau
Vérifiez les points suivants et utilisez correctement le système.
N’utilisez pas le système et ne le laissez pas dans un environnement extrêmement chaud ou froid
(dont la température se situe hors d’une plage comprise entre 5 °C – 35°C). Si le système est
utilisé ou laissé hors de la plage ci-dessus, il peut automatiquement cesser de fonctionner afin
de protéger ses circuits internes.
Veillez à ne pas laisser tomber le système et à ne pas le soumettre à des chocs mécaniques.
Toute déformation ou dégât peut entraîner la détérioration de la résistance à l’eau.
N’utilisez pas le système dans un endroit où il risque d’être éclaboussé par de l’eau chaude ou
par de grandes quantités d’eau. Le système n’a pas été conçu pour résister à la pression de l’eau.
L’utilisation du système dans les environnements décrits ci-dessus peut entraîner sa défaillance.
Ne versez pas d’eau très chaude et ne soufflez pas de l’air chaud provenant d’un sèche-cheveux
ou d’un autre appareil, directement sur le système. En outre, n’utilisez jamais le système dans
des endroits où la température est élevée, notamment dans des saunas ou à proximité d’un
poêle.
Manipulez le capuchon avec soin. Le capuchon joue un rôle très important pour préserver la
résistance à l’eau. Lorsque vous utilisez le système, assurez-vous que le capuchon est
complètement fermé. Quand vous fermez le capuchon, veillez à ne laisser aucun corps étranger
pénétrer à l’intérieur. Si le capuchon n’est pas complètement fermé, la résistance à l’eau risque
de se détériorer et de provoquer une défaillance du système en raison de la pénétration de l’eau
à l’intérieur de celui-ci.

Comment prendre soin du système lorsqu’il est mouillé
Si le système est mouillé, éliminez d’abord l’eau, puis essuyez l’humidité à l’aide d’un linge doux et
sec. Si vous laissez l’humidité sur la surface du système, celui-ci risque de geler et de ne plus
fonctionner correctement, surtout dans les régions froides. Veillez à éliminer l’humidité après avoir
utilisé le système.
Posez le système sur une serviette ou un linge sec. Laissez-le ensuite sécher à la température
ambiante jusqu’à ce que l’humidité ait totalement disparu.

Hinweise zur Wasserfestigkeit

Wasserfestigkeit des Systems
Dieses System ist eingeschränkt wasserfest*1,*2 gemäß Schutzart IPX5*3 wie in „Schutzgrade gegen
Eindringen von Wasser“ der Norm IEC60529 „Schutzumfang gegen Eindringen von Wasser
(IP-Code)“ definiert. Das System ist jedoch nicht vollständig wasserdicht.
Lassen Sie das System nicht in heißes Wasser wie in einer Badewanne fallen und tauchen Sie es
nicht absichtlich ins Wasser.
Flüssigkeiten, gegen die das System wie angegeben wasserfest ist

Gilt nicht für: Andere als die oben genannten Flüssigkeiten (Seifenwasser, Wasser

Die Wasserfestigkeit des Systems basiert auf Messungen unter den in diesem Dokument
genannten Bedingungen. Beachten Sie, dass Funktionsstörungen, die auf eine unsachgemäße
Handhabung durch den Kunden und ein daraus resultierendes Eindringen von Wasser
zurückzuführen sind, nicht unter die Garantie fallen.
So vermeiden Sie ein Nachlassen der Wasserfestigkeit
Prüfen Sie folgende Punkte und verwenden Sie das System ordnungsgemäß.
Sie dürfen das System nicht in einer extrem heißen oder kalten Umgebung (Temperatur
außerhalb eines Bereichs von 5°C – 35°C) verwenden und ablegen. Wenn Sie das System
außerhalb des oben angegebenen Temperaturbereichs verwenden oder ablegen, wird es zum
Schutz der internen Schaltkreise unter Umständen automatisch ausgeschaltet.
Lassen Sie das System nicht fallen und schützen Sie es vor mechanischen Erschütterungen.
Verformungen und Beschädigungen können dazu führen, dass die Wasserfestigkeit nachlässt.
Verwenden Sie das System nicht an Orten, an denen große Wassermengen oder heißes Wasser
darauf verschüttet werden können. Das System ist nicht darauf ausgelegt, höherem Wasserdruck
standzuhalten. Bei Verwendung des Systems an einem wie oben beschriebenen Ort kann es zu
einer Fehlfunktion kommen.
Gießen Sie kein heißes Wasser direkt auf das System und richten Sie nicht den heißen Luftstrom
von einem Haartrockner oder einem anderen Gerät direkt auf das System. Verwenden Sie das
System keinesfalls an Orten mit hohen Temperaturen wie in einer Sauna oder in der Nähe eines
Ofens.
Gehen Sie sorgfältig mit der Kappe um. Die Kappe hat entscheidenden Einfluss auf die
Wasserfestigkeit. Achten Sie bei Verwendung des Systems darauf, dass die Kappe vollständig
geschlossen ist. Achten Sie beim Schließen der Kappe darauf, dass sich keine Fremdkörper darin
befinden. Bei nicht vollständig geschlossener Kappe kann die Wasserfestigkeit nachlassen und in
das System eindringendes Wasser kann eine Fehlfunktion des Systems verursachen.

Pflegemaßnahmen nach Kontakt mit Wasser
Wenn das System mit Wasser in Kontakt geraten ist, entfernen Sie zunächst das Wasser vom
System und wischen Sie dann auf dem System verbleibende Feuchtigkeit mit einem weichen,
trockenen Tuch ab. Bei Kälte besteht die Gefahr, dass auf der Oberfläche verbleibende Feuchtigkeit
gefriert und eine Fehlfunktion verursacht. Wischen Sie Feuchtigkeit nach Gebrauch des Systems
unbedingt ab.
Stellen Sie das System auf ein Handtuch oder ein anderes trockenes Tuch. Lassen Sie es dann bei
Zimmertemperatur vollständig trocknen, bis keine Feuchtigkeit mehr vorhanden ist.

Waterbestendigheid van het systeem
Wat waterbestendigheid betreft, beantwoordt dit systeem aan de specificaties*1,*2 van IPX5*3, zoals
beschreven in "Bescherming tegen het binnendringen van water" van IEC60529
"Beschermingsgraden van omhulsels (IP-codering)". Dit systeem is echter niet volledig waterdicht.
Laat het systeem niet vallen in warm water in een bad en gebruik het niet onder water.
Vloeistoffen waarvoor de waterbestendige prestaties van toepassing zijn
Van toepassing: zoet water, kraanwater
Niet van toepassing: andere vloeistoffen dan de bovenstaande (zeepwater, water met
detergent of badproducten, shampoo, water van een
warmwaterbron, zwembadwater, zeewater enz.)

De waterbestendige prestaties van het systeem zijn gebaseerd op onze metingen onder de hier
omschreven omstandigheden. Houd er rekening mee dat storingen ten gevolge van het
binnendringen van water door een foutief gebruik van de klant niet gedekt worden door de
garantie.
Achteruitgang van de waterbestendige prestaties voorkomen
Controleer de volgende punten en gebruik het systeem correct.
Gebruik of bewaar het systeem niet in een extreem warme of koude omgeving (met een
temperatuur van meer of minder dan 5 °C - 35 °C). Als u het systeem toch gebruikt of bewaart
buiten de hierboven vermelde temperaturen, is het mogelijk dat het automatisch uitgeschakeld
wordt om de interne circuits te beschermen.
Laat het systeem niet vallen en stel het niet bloot aan mechanische schokken. Vervorming of
beschadiging van het systeem kan leiden tot een achteruitgang van de waterbestendige
prestaties.
Gebruik het systeem niet op een plaats waar er grote hoeveelheden koud of heet water op
kunnen spatten. Het systeem is niet bestand tegen waterdruk. Als u het systeem gebruikt op een
plaats met de hierboven beschreven kenmerken, kan dit tot storingen leiden.
Giet nooit warm water op het systeem en blaas geen warme lucht van een haardroger of een
ander apparaat rechtstreeks naar het systeem. Gebruik het systeem evenmin in ruimtes waar de
temperatuur erg kan oplopen, zoals in een sauna of in de buurt van een kachel.
Spring voorzichtig om met de afdekking. De afdekking is erg belangrijk voor de waterbestendige
prestaties van het systeem. Zorg ervoor dat de afdekking altijd volledig gesloten is als u het
systeem gebruikt. Wanneer u de afdekking sluit, moet u erop letten dat er geen vreemde materie
kan binnendringen. Als de afdekking niet volledig gesloten is, kunnen de waterbestendige
prestaties achteruitgaan en kan het systeem defect raken doordat er water binnendringt.

Het systeem onderhouden als het nat is
Als het systeem nat is, verwijdert u eerst al het water en veegt u daarna het resterende vocht weg
met een zachte, droge doek. Vooral in koude regio's kan achterblijvend vocht op het systeem
bevriezen, met storingen tot gevolg. Zorg er dus voor dat u vocht van het systeem verwijdert na het
gebruik.
Leg het systeem op een handdoek of een andere droge doek en laat het drogen bij
kamertemperatuur tot er geen vocht meer zichtbaar is.

*6 LDAC is een audiocoderingstechnologie die ontwikkeld werd door Sony en die de transmissie
van Hoge-Resolutie (Hi-Res) Audio-gegevens mogelijk maakt, zelfs via een BLUETOOTH-
verbinding. In tegenstelling tot andere BLUETOOTH-compatibele coderingstechnologieën zoals
SBC, past LDAC geen down-conversion toe van de Hi-Res Audio-inhoud*7 en kunnen er met deze
technologie ongeveer drie keer meer gegevens*8 met een ongeëvenaarde geluidskwaliteit
verstuurd worden via een draadloos BLUETOOTH-netwerk door gebruik te maken van een
efficiënte codering en een geoptimaliseerde packetization.

Anche se non si intende utilizzare il sistema per un periodo di tempo prolungato, caricare la
batteria alla sua piena capacità una volta ogni 6 mesi per mantenere le sue prestazioni.

Prestazioni di impermeabilità del sistema
Il presente sistema presenta le caratteristiche tecniche di impermeabilità *1,*2 di IPX5*3 come
specificato in “Gradi di protezione contro la penetrazione di liquidi” della norma IEC60529 “Grado di
protezione in ingresso (codice IP)”; tuttavia il sistema non è completamente a tenuta stagna.
Evitare di far cadere il sistema nell’acqua calda di una vasca o di utilizzarlo consapevolmente in
acqua.
Liquidi a cui si applicano le caratteristiche tecniche relative alle prestazioni di
impermeabilità

Non applicabili: liquidi diversi da quelli indicati sopra (ad esempio acqua saponata,
acqua con detergenti o sostanze da bagno, shampoo, acqua di

Le prestazioni di impermeabilità del sistema sono basate sulle nostre misurazioni alle condizioni
descritte sopra. Tenere presente che i malfunzionamenti derivanti dall’immersione in acqua
provocati da uso improprio da parte del cliente non sono coperti dalla garanzia.
Per evitare il deterioramento delle prestazioni di impermeabilità
Verificare quanto segue e utilizzare il sistema in maniera corretta.
Non utilizzare o lasciare il sistema in ambienti estremamente caldi o freddi (con temperature oltre
l’intervallo di 5 °C – 35 °C). Se il sistema viene utilizzato o lasciato in condizioni oltre tale intervallo,
potrebbe arrestarsi automaticamente per proteggere i circuiti interni.
Non far cadere il sistema né sottoporlo a urti meccanici. Una deformazione o eventuali danni
possono causare il deterioramento delle prestazioni di impermeabilità.
Non utilizzare il sistema in luoghi in cui vi potrebbero schizzare grandi quantità di acqua o di
acqua calda. Il sistema non è stato progettato per resistere alla pressione dell’acqua. L’uso del
sistema in tali luoghi potrebbe causare malfunzionamenti.
Non versare acqua ad alta temperatura o soffiare aria calda da un asciugacapelli o qualsiasi altro
apparecchio direttamente sul sistema. Inoltre, non utilizzare il sistema in ambienti ad alta
temperatura come all’interno di saune o in prossimità di una stufa.
Maneggiare lo sportello con cura. Lo sportello ha un ruolo fondamentale nel mantenere le
prestazioni di impermeabilità. Durante l’utilizzo del sistema, assicurarsi che lo sportello sia
completamente chiuso. Durante la chiusura dello sportello, evitare che corpi estranei finiscano al
suo interno. Se lo sportello non è completamente chiuso, possono verificarsi un deterioramento
delle prestazioni di impermeabilità e un problema di funzionamento del sistema dovuto alla
penetrazione di liquidi.

Cosa fare se il sistema si bagna
Se il sistema si bagna, rimuovere l’acqua ed eliminare l’umidità formatasi sul sistema con un panno
morbido e asciutto. L’umidità presente sulla superficie potrebbe causare il blocco del sistema e
malfunzionamenti, soprattutto nelle regioni fredde. Accertarsi di asciugare l’umidità dopo aver
utilizzato il sistema.
Appoggiare il sistema su un asciugamano o un panno asciutto, lasciarlo a temperatura ambiente,
quindi asciugarlo fino a eliminare ogni traccia di umidità.
