Safety information
Your All-in-One ASUS All-in-One PC is designed and tested to meet the
latest standards of safety for information technology equipment. However,
to ensure your safety, it is important that you read the following safety
instructions.
Setting up your system
• Readandfollowallinstructionsinthedocumentationbeforeyou
operate your system.
• Donotusethisproductnearwateroraheatedsourcesuchasa
radiator.
• Setupthesystemonastablesurface.
• Openingsonthechassisareforventilation.Donotblockorcover
these openings. Ensure that you leave plenty of space around the
system for ventilation. Never insert objects of any kind into the
ventilation openings.
• Usethisproductinenvironmentswithambienttemperatures
between 0˚C and 40˚C.
• Ifyouuseanextensioncord,ensurethatthetotalampererating
of the devices plugged into the extension cord does not exceed
its ampere rating.
Care during use
• Donotwalkonthepowercordorallowanythingtorestonit.
• Donotspillwateroranyotherliquidsonyoursystem.
• Whenthesystemisturnedoff,asmallamountofelectrical
current still remains in the product. Always unplug all power,
modem, and network cables from the power outlets before
cleaning the system.

• The touch screen (on selected models) requires periodic cleaning
to perform at optimal touch sensitivity. Keep the screen clean
from foreign objects or excessive dust accumulation. To clean the
screen:
- Turn o the system and disconnect the power cord from the
wall.
- Spray a small amount of household glass cleaner on the
supplied cleaning cloth and gently wipe the surface of the
screen.
- Do not spray the cleaner directly on the screen.
• Donotusean abrasivecleanerora coarsecloth when cleaning
the screen.
• If you encounter the following technical problems with the
product, unplug the power cord and contact a qualied service
technician or your retailer.
- The power cord or plug is damaged.
- Liquid has been spilled into the system.
- The system does not function properly even if you follow the
operating instructions.
- The system was dropped or the cabinet is damaged.
- The system performance changes.

Sound Pressure Warning
Excessive sound pressure from earphones or headphones can cause
hearing loss or permanent damage to hearing. Increasing the volume and
equalizer beyond default levels increases the output voltage and sound
pressure produced by the earphones or headphones.

2. It is recommended that the power socket is in close proximity to
the ASUS All-in-One PC.
DC Fan Warning
Please note that the DC fan is a moving part and can cause harm when
used improperly. Keep away from the fan when using the product.

Getting to know your ASUS All-in-
One PC
Chapter 1: Hardware Setup
Front view

Camera
The built-in camera allows you to take pictures or record
videos using your ASUS All-in-One PC.

Camera indicator
The camera indicator lights up when the built-in camera is in
use.
Microphone
The built-in microphone can be used for video conferencing,
voice narrations, audio recordings, and multimedia
applications.
LCD display panel
The LCD display panel provides excellent viewing features for
photos, videos, and other multimedia les.
On selected models, multi-touch is supported. You can
operate your ASUS All-in-One PC using touch gestures.
Power indicator
This LED power indicator lights up when the ASUS All-in-One
PC is turned on or on sleep mode.
Hard Disk Drive (HDD) indicator
This LED indicates hard disk drive activity.
Brightness adjust
These buttons allows you to adjust the brightness or contrast
settings.
Volume adjust
These buttons allows you to adjust the system volume.
Power button
Press this button to your All-in-One PC on or o.

Antenna input (optional)
The antenna input is for TV frequency signal and allows
for use from subscription television services. The
provided antenna can receive digital TV.
Power input
The bundled power adapter converts AC power to DC
power for use with this jack. Power supplied through
this jack supplies power to the ASUS All-in-One PC. To
prevent damage to the ASUS All-in-One PC, always use
the bundled power adapter.
WARNING! The power adapter may become warm or
hot when in use. Do not cover the adapter and keep it
away from your body.
LAN port
This 8-pin RJ-45 LAN port supports a standard Ethernet
cable for connection to a local network.
HDMI output port
Connect this port with devices equipped with an HDMI
input port, such as an LCD monitor or projector.

USB 3.0 ports
These Universal Serial Bus 3.0 (USB 3.0) ports connect
to USB 3.0 devices such as a mouse, printer, scanner,
camera, and others.
USB 2.0 ports
These USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports are compatible
with USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 devices such as keyboards,
pointing devices, ash disk drives, external HDDs,
speakers, cameras, and printers.
IMPORTANT! The two (2) USB 2.0 ports are available on
ET203 Series models only.
Random-access memory module (RAM)
compartment
This compartment secures the RAM (random-access
memory) module of your All-in-One PC.
IMPORTANT! For more information on how to add
or upgrade the RAM module, refer to the Installing a
Random-access Memory module section.

Memory card reader
This ASUS All-in-One PC has a built-in memory card reader slot
that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, SDXC cards.
USB 3.0 ports
These Universal Serial Bus 3.0 (USB 3.0) ports connect
to USB 3.0 devices such as a mouse, printer, scanner,
camera, and others.
The lower port supports AI Charger II.

AI Charger II LED indicator
This LED lights up when the AI Charger II port is in use.
Headphone output port
This port allows you to connect your ASUS All-in-One PC
to amplied speakers or headphones.
Microphone input combo port
This port allows you to connect your ASUS All-in-One PC
to an external microphone.
Optical Disc Drive manual eject hole
The manual eject hole is used to eject the drive tray in
case the electronic eject button does not work.
WARNING! Use the manual eject hole only when the
electronic eject button does not work.
Optical Disk Drive electronic eject button
Press this button to eject the optical drive tray.
You can also eject the drive tray using your media player
or by right-clicking the optical drive icon in Windows
File Explorer and clicking Eject.

Optical Drive (on selected models)
This support compact discs (CD), digital video discs
(DVD), and/or Blu-ray discs (BD), and recordable (R) or
re-writable (RW) discs. Consult product specications
for details on included optical drive.
NOTE: DVD R/RW is optional and is available on
selected models only.
USB 2.0 port
This USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports are compatible with
USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 devices such as keyboards, pointing
devices, ash disk drives, external HDDs, speakers,
cameras, and printers.
NOTES:
• Use this port if the cable of your mouse or
keyboard is not long enough to be connected on
the rear USB 2.0 port.
• This port is available on ET223 Series models
only.

Chapter 2: Using your ASUS
All-in-One PC
Assembling the base
1. Place the ASUS All-in-One PC on a at and stable surface such as
a table or desk.
2. Align and attach the base to the stand. Ensure that the stand is
tted rmly and aligned properly to the base.
NOTE: The stand ts to the base in one orientation only.
3. Secure the base to the stand with the bundled stand screw.
NOTE: The bundled stand screw is tool-less by design but you can also
use a Phillips or a at screwdriver, a coin, or a token to install it.
NOTE: The illustration above is for reference only. The actual All-in-One
PC may slightly vary depending on the model but the installation steps
remains the same.

Positioning your ASUS All-in-One
PC
1. Place your ASUS All-in-One PC on a at surface such as a table or
desk.
2. Tilt the display to an angle between -5o to 25o.
IMPORTANT! Avoid adjusting the display to an angle beyond the
recommended values or you may risk damaging the ASUS All-in-One PC.

Connecting a wired keyboard and mouse
Connect the keyboard and the mouse to the USB ports on the rear or
side panel.
NOTE: To fully maximize your AiO PC’s AI Charger II feature, we
recommend to use the upper USB 3.0 port on the side panel for wired
keyboard or mouse. Use the lower USB 3.0 port to charge smart devices or
MP3 players.

NOTES:
• Reconnect the wireless keyboard and mouse with the wireless
dongle if they lose connection. Avoid using either devices
alongside other wireless devices. Position the mouse and
keyboard at least 20 cm away from other wireless hardware to
avoid interference.
• The illustrations above are for reference only. Actual hardware
and specications of the optional wired or wireless keyboard and
mouse may vary.
Connecting a wireless keyboard and mouse
(optional)
1. Install batteries into the wireless keyboard and mouse.
2. Connect the wireless dongle for keyboard and mouse to a USB
port on the rear or on the side panel.
NOTE: We recommend to use the USB 2.0 port for keyboard and mouse.
3. You can begin using the wireless keyboard and mouse.

Powering on your ASUS All-in-One PC
Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC IN jack on the rear panel ( 1,
2, and 3 ) and then press the Power button on the front panel (4) of the
ASUS All-in-One PC to power on the system.
WARNING! DO NOT connect the AC power cord to an AC outlet prior to
connecting the DC plug to the system. Doing so may damage the AC-DC
adapter.
NOTE: For details on turning o your ASUS All-in-One PC, refer to
the section Turning your ASUS All-in-One PC o in Working with
Windows® 8.1.

Using the touch screen (optional)
The touch screen panel of your ASUS All-in-One PC provides excellent
viewing features for photos, videos, and other multimedia les on your
ASUS All-in-One PC. It also supports the 10-point multi-touch feature
that facilitates smoother and more accurate touch gestures allowing
you to operate your ASUS All-in-One PC faster and easier.

Chapter 3: Working with
Windows® 8.1
NOTE: The operating system varies with country or region.
Starting for the rst time
When you start your computer for the rst time, a series of screens
appear to guide you in conguring your Windows® 8.1 operating system.
To start your ASUS All-in-One PC for the rst time:
1. Press the power button on your ASUS All-in-One PC. Wait for a few
minutes until the setup screen appears.
2. From the setup screen, pick your region and a language to use on
your ASUS All-in-One PC.
3. Carefully read the License Terms. Select I accept.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to congure the following basic
items:
• Personalize
• Getonline
• Settings
• Youraccount
5. After conguring the basic items, Windows® 8.1 proceeds to install
your apps and preferred settings. Ensure that your ASUS All-in-
One PC is kept powered on during the setup process.
6. Once the setup process is complete, the Start screen appears.

Windows® UI
Windows® 8.1 comes with a tile-based user interface (UI) which allows
you to organize and easily access Windows® apps from the Start screen.
It also includes the following features that you can use while working
on your ASUS All-in-One PC.
Start screen
The Start screen appears after successfully signing in to your user
account. It helps organize all the applications you need in just one
place.
Windows® Apps
These are apps pinned on the Start screen and displayed on tiled-format
for easy access.
NOTE: Some apps require signing in to your Microsoft account before
they are fully launched.

Hotspots
Onscreen hotspots allow you to launch programs and access the

Windows® 8.1 also enables you to customize your Start screen,
allowing you to boot directly to the Desktop mode and customize the
arrangement of your apps onscreen.
To customize the settings of your Start screen:
1. Launch the Desktop.
2. Right-click anywhere on the taskbar, except on the Start button,
to launch the pop-up window.
3. Click Properties then select the Navigation tab to tick the
Navigation and Start screen options you want to use.

launch your current network adapter’s properties.
5. In the your current network adapter properties window, select
the Advanced tab.
6. In the Advanced tab, select Bandwidth Capability under the
Property option then select your preferred bandwidth setting

Adapter settings.
4. Right-click on your LAN and select Properties.
5. Click Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.

NOTE: Continue to the next steps if you are using PPPoE connection.

10. Enter your Username, Password, and Connection name. Click
Connect.
11. Click Close to nish the conguration.
12. Click the network icon in the taskbar and click the connection you
just created.
13. Enter your user name and password. Click Connect to connect to
the Internet.
Conguring a static IP network connection
To congure a static IP network connection:
1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 of the previous section Conguring a
dynamic IP/PPPoE network connection.
2 Click Use the following IP address.
3. Enter the IP address, Subnet mask and Gateway from your service
provider.
4. If needed, enter the preferred DNS Server address and alternative

Entering the BIOS Setup
BIOS (Basic Input and Output System) stores system hardware settings
that are needed for system startup in the ASUS All-in-One PC.
In normal circumstances, the default BIOS settings apply to most
conditions to ensure optimal performance. Do not change the default
BIOS settings except in the following circumstances:
• Anerrormessageappearsonthescreenduringthesystem
bootup and requests you to run the BIOS Setup.
• Youhaveinstalledanewsystemcomponentthatrequiresfurther
BIOS settings or update.
WARNING! Inappropriate BIOS settings may result to instability or boot
failure. We strongly recommend that you change the BIOS settings only
with the help of a trained service personnel.
Quickly enter the BIOS
To access the BIOS:
• WhenyourASUSAll-in-OnePCiso,pressthepowerbuttonfor
at least four (4) seconds to access the BIOS directly.
• PressthepowerbuttontoturnonyourASUSAll-in-OnePCthen
press <F2> or <Del> during POST.
NOTE: POST (Power-On Self-Test) is a series of software controlled
diagnostic tests that run when you turn on your ASUS All-in-One PC.

Resetting your PC
The Reset your PC option restores your PC to its factory default settings.
IMPORTANT! Back up all your data before using this option.
To reset your PC:
1. Press <F9> during bootup.
IMPORTANT! To go through POST, follow any of the ways described in the
section Quickly enter the BIOS in Chapter 3.
2. From the screen, click Troubleshoot.
3. Select Reset your PC.
4. Click Next.
5. Select Only the drive where the Windows is installed.
6. Select Just remove my les.

You can create a USB recovery drive and use this to recover your PC’s
settings.
Creating a USB recovery drive
WARNING! All les on your USB storage device will be permanently
deleted during the process. Before you proceed, ensure that you back up
all your important data.
To create a USB recovery drive:
1. Launch the Control Panel from the All Apps screen.
NOTE: For details, refer to Launching the All Apps screen under Working
with Windows® apps.
2. From the Control Panel’s System and Security, click Find and x
problems.
3. Click Recovery > Create a recovery drive.
4. Click Next.
5. Select the USB storage device where you want to copy the recovery
les.
6. Click Next.
7. Click Create. Wait for a while for the process to complete.
8. When the process is completed, click Finish.

Removing everything and reinstalling Windows
Restoring your PC to its original factory settings can be done using the
Remove everything and reinstall option in PC Settings. Refer to the
steps below to use this option.
IMPORTANT!
Back up all your data before using this option.
NOTE: This process may take a while to complete.
1. Launch the Charms bar.
2. Click Settings > Change PC Settings > General.
3. Scroll down to view the Remove everything and reinstall Windows
option. Under this option, click Get Started.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the reinstallation and

Installing a Random-access
Memory module
Upgrade the memory capacity of your ASUS All-in-One PC by installing
a RAM (random-access memory module) in the memory module
compartment.
WARNING! Disconnect all the connected peripherals, any telephone or
telecommunication lines and power connector (such as external power
supply, battery pack, etc.) before removing the compartment cover.
IMPORTANT!
• Visit an authorized service center or retailer for information on
RAM module upgrades for your ASUS All-in-One PC.
• Purchase RAM modules from authorized retailers of this ASUS All-
in-One PC to ensure maximum compatibility and reliability.
NOTE: The appearance of the RAM module may vary per model but the
RAM module installation remains the same.

1. Loosen the screw of the ASUS All-in-One PC’s compartment cover.
2. Pull out the compartment cover and remove it completely from
your ASUS All-in-One PC. Set aside.
3. Remove the metal cover (on selected models) then set aside.

4. Get the RAM module.
5. Align and insert the RAM module into the RAM module slot (A)
then push it down until it clicks in place (B).
NOTES:
• Use both hands in performing this step.

notches of the RAM module should be rmly xed in place.
6. Replace the compartment cover.
7. Secure the compartment cover using the screw that you removed
