Safety information
• Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that
came with the package.
• To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or
moisture.
• Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages
inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.
• If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a
qualified service technician or your retailer.
• Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected
and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage,
contact your dealer immediately.
• Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for
ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or
over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.
• The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source
indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to
your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
• Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power
standard.
• Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can
result in fire or electric shock.
• Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the

• Provide an earthing connection before the mains plug is connected to
the mains. And, when disconnecting the earthing connection, be sure

Care & Cleaning
• Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the
cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when
positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the
edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
• Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the
monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains
may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
• Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner
intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the
screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
This symbol of the crossed out wheeled bin indicates that the
product (electrical, electronic equipment, and mercury-containing
button cell battery) should not be placed in municipal waste.
Please check local regulations for disposal of electronic products.

The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
• The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature of the
fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to
make sure that the flicker disappears.
• You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on
the desktop pattern you use.
• When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the
previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will
recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
• When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore,
contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen
by yourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor
To assemble the monitor:
• While assembling the monitor arm/base, we recommend that you
keep the monitor inside its EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) packaging.
1. Align the screw hole on the arm with the bundled screw on the base.
Then insert the base into the arm.
2. Fix the base to the arm by fastening the bundled screw.
3. Align the triangle marks on the monitor base and the LED projection
cover. Then attach the LED projection cover to the monitor base.
4. Remove the monitor from its EPS packaging. Adjust the monitor to
the angle that is most comfortable for you.

1.6.1 Using the Controls button
Use the control button on the back of the monitor to adjust the monitor
settings.

• Press this hotkey to switch from six video preset modes (Scenery

Mode and sRGB Mode) with GameVisual ™ Video Intelligence
Technology.
4. GamePlus Button:
• GamePlus: The GamePlus Function provides a toolkit and
creates a better gaming environment for users when playing
different types of games. Particularly, Crosshair function is
specially designed for new gamers or beginners interested in First
Person Shooter (FPS) games.
To active GamePlus:

2.1 Adjusting the monitor
• For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the
monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable
for you.
• Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling
when you change its
angle.
• Youcanadjustthemonitor’sanglefrom+20˚to-5˚anditallows50˚
swivel adjustment from either left or right. You can also adjust the
monitor’s height within +/- 10cm.

It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewing

2.3 Detaching the arm/stand (for VESA wall
mount)
• Avoid damaging the monitor surface. While detaching the monitor
stand, always keep the monitor inside its EPS packaging.
The detachable stand of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall
mount.
To detach the arm/stand
1. Disconnect power and signal cables. Carefully put the monitor
facedown on its EPS packaging.
2. Remove the covers on where the monitor and the arm meet.
3. Remove the four (4) screws securing the arm to the rear of the
monitor.
4. Detach the stand (arm and base) from the monitor.
• The VESA wall mount kit ( 100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately.
• Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load
28.8 kg (Screw size: M4 x 10 mm).

1. Press the Central of 5-way button to display the OSD menu.
2. Press the Up and Down keys to switch the options in the menu.
When you move from one icon to another, the option name is
highlighted.
3. To select a highlighted item from the menu, press the Right key or the
Central button.
4. Press the Up and Down keys to select the desired parameters.
5. Press the Right key or the Central button to enter the slide bar, and
then use the Up or Down keys (depending on the indicators in the
menu) to make changes.
6. Press the Left key to return to the previous menu.

• Max Refresh Rate 120Hz: allows you to select a maximum
refresh rate of 105->110->115->120Hz (Only for DisplayPort
input). After selecting, press the ( ) button twice to activate
the setting.
• Adjust the Over clocking on the OSD and wait for the monitor to
restart, change the maximum refresh rate setting in the NVIDIA
Control Panel.
• This feature is only available through DisplayPort.
• Over clocking function performance may depending on the display
card or game details.

• Level 0: No change.
• Level 1~4: The higher the level,the more blue light will be
reduced.
• When Blue Light Filter is activated,the default settings of Racing Mode
will be automatically imported.
• Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is user-
configurable.
• Level 4 is optimized setting. It is compliance with TUV Low Blue Light
Certification. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.
Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strains:
• Users should take some time away from the display if working for long
hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 mins) after around
1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and
frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break.
• To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest
the eye periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.
• Eye exercises can help to reduces eye strain. Repeat these exercises
often. If eye strain continues please consult a physician. Eye
exercises: (1) Repeating look up and down (2) Slowly roll your eyes
(3) Move your eyes diagonal.
• High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related
Macular Degeneration). Blue light filter to reduce 70% (max.) harmful
blue light to avoiding CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).

• OD: Speeds up the response time by Over Drive technology.
Including Level 0~Level 5.
• Adaptive Contrast Control: Adaptive Contrast to increase the
global contrast of many images, especially when the contrast
of useful data for images is fairly close.This feature is useful for
images that are too bright or too dark in the background and
foreground.
• Shadow Boost: Dark color enhancement adjust monitor gamma
curve to enrich the dark tones in an image making dark scenes
and objects much easier be found.
• Choose 4:3, 16:9 to display the picture according to the original aspect
ratio of the input source.

• Language: Select OSD language. The selections are: English,
Nederlands, Croatia, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese,
Czech, French, German, Hungary, Indonesian, Italiano,
Japanese, Romania, Persian, Poland, Portugal, Korean,
Russian, Spanish, Thai and Turkey.
• OSD Position: Adjusts OSD Position。
• Transparency: Adjusts OSD Transparency。
• OSD Timeout:Adjusts OSD Timeout。
• Key Lock: Disable all key functions. Pressing the down button for
more than five seconds to disable key lock function.
• Information:Displays the monitor information.
• LIGHT IN MOTION: Set the red light intensity level on the base
from Level 1 to Level 3. To turn off the red light, set Level 0.
• Aura Sync: Allows you to turn on or off the Aura Sync function
that synchronizes the Aura RGB light effect among all supported
devices.

• Aura RGB: In this function you can select an Aura RGB light
effect for the monitor and change settings for the light effect.
Select “OFF” if you want to turn the Aura RGB light effect off.
• If the Aura Sync function is turned ON, the Aura RGB function will
become unavailable.
• See page 3-9 for information on how to customize Aura light effects
from your computer.
• Sound: Selects “Volume” to adjust the output volume level.
Selects “Mute” to mute the output volume.
• All Reset: Selects “Yes” to revert all settings to the factory default
mode.
• DisplayPort Deep Sleep: Select DisplayPort Deep Sleep.
• HDMI Deep Sleep: Select HDMI Deep Sleep.

3.2 Aura
AURA is a software program that controls the colorful LEDs on supported
devices,such as monitors, motherboards, graphic cards, desktop PCs, etc.
Aura allows you to adjust the color of the RGB LEDs on these devices and
select different light effects. You can also correct or adjust the color of the
LEDs by calibrating them.
To activate Aura:
1. Turn ON the Aura Sync function in the OSD menu.
2. Connect the USB 3.0 upstream port of the monitor to the USB port of
your computer.
3. Install AURA and then restart the computer.
4. Double-click the AURA program icon on your desktop.

If the USB upstream connection between the monitor and
computer is disconnected, to resume the Aura function, you need
to re-connect the USB 3.0 upstream port of the monitor to the
computer and then restart the computer.

3.3 Troubleshooting (FAQ)
Problem Possible Solution
Power LED is not ON • Press the button to check if the monitor is in the
ON mode.
• Check if the power cord is properly connected to
the monitor and the power outlet.
• Check Power Indicator function in main menu OSD.
Select “ON” to turn on power LED.
The power LED lights amber and
there is no screen image
• Check if the monitor and the computer are in the
ON mode.
• Make sure the signal cable is properly connected
the monitor and the computer.
• Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the
pins are bent.
• Connect the computer with another available
monitor to check if the computer is properly
working.
Screen image is too light or dark • Adjust the Contrast and Brightness settings via
OSD.
Screen image bounces or a wave
pattern is present in the image
• Make sure the signal cable is properly connected to
the monitor and the computer.
• Move electrical devices that may cause electrical
interference.
Screen image has color defects
(white does not look white)
• Inspect the signal cable and make sure that none of
the pins are bent.
• Perform Reset via OSD.
• Adjust the R/G/B color settings or select the Color
Temperature via OSD.
No sound or sound is low • Adjust the volume settings of both your monitor and
computer.
• Make sure the computer sound card driver is
properly installed and activated.
• Check the audio source.
The following function is disabled
automatically.
• Those functions can’t be enabled at the same
time. Enable one will disable others automatically.
Choose one function which you wanted.
