The display you have just purchased carries the TCO Certified
label. This ensures that your display is designed, manufactured
and tested according to some of the strictest quality and
environmental requirements in the world. This makes for a high
performance product, designed with the user in focus that also
minimizes the impact on the climate and our natural
environment.
TCO Certified is a third party verified program, where every product model is tested by
an accredited impartial test laboratory. TCO Certified represents one of the toughest
certifications for displays worldwide.
Some of the Usability features of the TCO Certified for displays:
• Good visual ergonomics and image quality is tested to ensure top performance and
reduce sight and strain problems. Important parameters are luminance, contrast,
resolution, black level, gamma curve, color and luminance uniformity, color rendition and
image stability.
• Product have been tested according to rigorous safety standards at an impartial
laboratory.
• Electric and magnetic fields emissions as low as normal household background levels.

users as well as manufacturers all over the world. Since the end of the 1980s TCO has been

For displays with glossy bezels the user should consider the placement of the display
as the bezel may cause disturbing reflections from surrounding light and bright

Safety information
• Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that
came with the package.
• To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or
moisture.
• Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages
inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.
• If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a
qualified service technician or your retailer.
• Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected
and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage,
contact your dealer immediately.
• Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for
ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or
over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.
• The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source
indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to
your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
• Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power
standard.
• Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can
result in fire or electric shock.
• Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the
monitor in any area where it may become wet. Place the monitor on a
stable surface.
• Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be used for a
long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to
power surges.
• Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into the slots on the
monitor cabinet.
• To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed
computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked
between 100 ~ 240V AC.
• The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be
easily accessible
• If you encounter technical problems with the monitor, contact a
qualified service technician or your retailer.
• Provide an earthing connection before the mains plug is connected to
the mains. And, when disconnecting the earthing connection, be sure
to disconnect after pulling out the mains plug from the mains.

Care & Cleaning
• Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the
cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when
positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the
edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
• Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the
monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains
may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
• Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner
intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the
screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
• The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature of the
fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to
make sure that the flicker disappears.
• You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on
the desktop pattern you use.
• When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the
previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will
recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
• When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore,
contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen
by yourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor
To assemble the monitor:
1. Placethedisplayatonaclothonthetable,assemblethebase
according to the drawing and use a coin to turn the screw tight.
2. Put the cable clip inset the hole of stand, and adjust the monitor to
the angle that is most comfortable for you.

2.1 Detaching the Quick Release stand (for VESA
wall mount)
The Quick Release Stand of this monitor is specially designed for VESA
wall mount.
To detach the Quick Release
stand
1. Disconnect power and signal cables. Carefully put the front of the
monitor face down on a clean table.
2. Use a screwdriver to remove the four screws on the arm (Figure 1),
and then detach the arm/stand from the monitor (Figure 2).
• We recommend that you cover the table surface with soft cloth to prevent
damage to the monitor.
• Hold the stand of the monitor while removing the screws.

• The VESA wall mount kit ( 100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately.
• Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 28.8 kg
(Screw size: M4 x 10 mm).

2.2 Adjusting the monitor
• For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the
monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable
for you.
• Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling
when you change its
angle.
• Youcanadjustthemonitor’sanglefrom+20˚to-5˚anditallows60˚
swivel adjustment from either left or right. You can also adjust the
monitor’s height within +/- 15cm.

Pivoting the monitor
1. Lift the monitor to the highest position.
2. Tilt the monitor to its maximum angle.
3. Pivot the monitor clockwise to the angle you need.

It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewing

1. Press the MENU button to activate the OSD menu.

Menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is
highlighted.

• Racing Mode: This is the best choice for racing game playing with
GameVisual™ Video Intelligence Technology.
• Cinema Mode: This is the best choice for movie watching with
GameVisual™ Video Intelligence Technology.
• RTS/RPG Mode: This is the best choice for Real-Time Strategy(RTS)/
Role-Playing Game(RPG) playing with GameVisual™ Video Intelligence
Technology.
• FPS Mode: This is the best choice for First Person Shooter game playing
with GameVisual™ Video Intelligence Technology.
• sRGB Mode: This is the best choice for viewing photos and graphics
from PCs.
• User Mode: More items are adjustable in the Color menu.
• In the Racing Mode, the Saturation, SkinTone, Sharpness, and ASCR
functions are not user-configurable.
• In the sRGB, the Saturation, Color Temp., SkinTone, Sharpness, Brightness,
Contrast and ASCR functions are not user-configurable.

“Overscan”.
• VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology that brings lifelike visuals for
crystal-clear and detail-oriented enjoyment. The adjusting range is from

• ASCR: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable dynamic contrast ratio
function.
• Adaptive-Sync: It can allow a Adaptive-Sync supported* graphics source
to dynamically adjust display refresh rate based on typical content frame
rates for power efficient, virtually stutter free and low-latency display
update.
• 4:3 is only available when input source is in 4:3 format。OverScan is only
available for the HDMI input source.
• Adaptive-Sync only support on full-screen

function.

• GamePlus: The GamePlus Function provides a toolkit and creates a
better gaming environment for users when playing different types of
games. Particularly, Crosshair function is specially designed for new
gamers or beginners interested in First Person Shooter (FPS) games.
To active GamePlus:
• Select ON to enter the GamePlus main menu.
• Press
and
to select between Crosshair, Timer, FPS Counter
function and Display Alignment function.
• Press Center key to confirm the function you choose. Press
to go
back. Press X to go off, and exit.

• DisplayPort Stream: Compatibility with graphic card. Select DP 1.1 or
DP 1.2 by graphic card DP version. (3840x2160-60Hz is available at DP
1.2 only. The best resolution is 3840x2160-30Hz at DP 1.1). Follow the
instructions below to change 4K2K, 30Hz to 4K2K, 60Hz on your PC: In
Windows, right click the desktop and enter the Screen Resolution. Go to
Advanced Settings, and set the refresh rate to 60Hz from 30Hz.
• ECO Mode: Activate the ecology mode for power saving.
• USB Charging: Turn On/Off USB charging function during the standby
mode.
• OSD Setup: Adjusts the OSD Timeout, DDC/CI, and Transparency of
the OSD screen.
• More: Return the next page of System Setting.
• Back: Return the previous page of System Setting.
• Language: Select OSD language. The selections are: English, French,
German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Poland, Czech, Croatia,
Hungary, Romania, Portugal, Turkey, Simplified Chinese, Traditional
Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, Indonesian.
• Key Lock: Disable all key functions. Pressing the down key for more
than five seconds to disable key lock function.

• Information: Displays the monitor information.
• Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off.
• Power Key Lock: To disable / enable power key.
• All Reset: Selects “Yes” to revert all settings to the factory default mode.

Power LED is not ON • Press the button to check if the monitor is in the
ON mode.
• Check if the power cord is properly connected to the
monitor and the power outlet.
• Check Power Indicator function in main menu OSD.
Select “ON” to turn on power LED.
The power LED lights amber and
there is no screen image
• Check if the monitor and the computer are in the ON
mode.
• Make sure the signal cable is properly connected the
monitor and the computer.
• Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the
pins are bent.
• Connect the computer with another available monitor
to check if the computer is properly working.
Screen image is too light or dark • Adjust the Contrast and Brightness settings via
OSD.
Screen image bounces or a wave
pattern is present in the image
• Make sure the signal cable is properly connected to
the monitor and the computer.
• Move electrical devices that may cause electrical
interference.
Screen image has color defects
(white does not look white)
• Inspect the signal cable and make sure that none of
the pins are bent.
• Perform Reset via OSD.
• Adjust the R/G/B color settings or select the Color
Temperature via OSD.
No sound or sound is low • Adjust the volume settings of both your monitor and
computer.
• Make sure the computer sound card driver is properly
installed and activated.

Cannot select 3840x2160@60Hz
for HDMI
• Check the HDMI version of your graphics
card.
(a) If it is HDMI 1.4, 3840x2160@60Hz output is not
available to your card. Change to a HDMI 2.0 card.
(b) If it is HDMI 2.0, connect to HDMI-1 (4K@60Hz), i.e.
the HDMI port next to DP.
Note: The HDMI-1 (4K@60Hz) input port supports up to
3840x2160@60Hz
HDMI-2, HDMI-3 input ports support up to
3840x2160@30Hz
Cannot select 3840x2160@60Hz
for DP
• Check the DP version of your graphics card.
(a) If it is DP 1.1, 3840x2160@60Hz output is not
available to your card. Change to a DP 1.2 card.
(b) If it is DP 1.2, set DisplayPort Stream to DP 1.2.
PC is on, but DP cannot display
anything
• Check if your PC is in hibernation. Press any key on
the keyboard or click the mouse
• Remove and insert the DP signal cable on the PC and
display to see if the cable clicks.
• Press the power button on the display to see if it is
on.
• If the card is DP 1.1, press the Source button and
select Switch to DP 1.1.
